TW/CW: short mention of bruises, broken ribs, swearing

Let me know if I missed any

(1st Person PoV: Technoblade's)

I led Carl back to his stable before entering my house.

I was tired that I just wanted to collapse onto my bed and fall into the land of dreams even though I haven't had a dream in such a long time.

It's usually a black screen whenever I close my eyes.

Just then, I heard some rustling noises.

My sleepiness snapped away and was replace with awareness.

Someone or something is in my house.

I grabbed an axe and went looking for the source of the noise.

I looked around my house. No one here but me.

In the kitchen, in the living room, in my room, in the guest rooms, there was nothing.

Guess the only place to check is the basement.

I went down and saw that the sack of potatoes near the window was deflated.

I went looking around through the chests to see if anything was missing.

A whole stack of gapples were gone!

Ok someone has been here, I thought.

I continued to look.

The old blanket was also missing.

Now stolen gapples is one thing but that blanket is another! It was an old blanket given down to us by Phil when we were younger.

The last person who had it was Tommy before both him and Wilbur left.

I have to find that blanket!

I now furiously went around the chests and checked every corner.

In one lone chest, I actually found it but when I tried to grab it, someone else was holding it.

It became a game of tug of war as I tried tugging the blanket while the other person was holding it back.

I tugged as hard as I could and the person who was in the chest fell out.

Is that...Tommy? I thought in disbelief.

"What are you doing in my house, Tommy?" I asked.

He looked up in fear and awkwardly finger gunned.

"Heeeeyyy Technoblade," he said slowly.

"What are you doing in my house?" I repeated.

"Technoblade mah frieeeeeeend!" Tommy drowned out his words.

"Seriously what are you doing in my house Tommy? I'm not going to repeat myself," I said.

"YOU B*TCH!" He shouted.

I rubbed my temples slowly.

Sometimes I forget how difficult Tommy can be.

"Why I was just wandering around and I saw this erm...lovely house and I thought that maybe someone can show me the way out of the tundra. Didn't know it was your house," Tommy explained, sweat rolling down his forehead.

Somehow I could tell he was lying. He's not a good liar.

He's a good hider but not a liar.

"You can tell Tubbo to stop seeking me out! I'm not going to do anything to L'Manberg," I sighed and went to place the blanket in its place.

"T-Tubbo?" Tommy asked.

"Yeah, aren't you close friends? Last week while in the Nether, I was stopped by Tubbo and Quackity. They told me that I'm a danger to society and that I need to be arrested blah blah you get the memo. I escaped from them," I explained.

"O-oh...I wasn't in L'Manberg last week...or this month really...," Tommy said.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, turning around to face him.

This is when I got a good look at him.

His green bandanna was torn and stitched back on, parts of his sleeves were gone, he had holes under his knee pants, purple and black bruises were painted on his face, his hair was a rat's nest, and his usual bright blue eyes were now a dull color.

What happened?

Last time I saw him, he was physically ok. We don't talk about mentally but let's be honest almost no one in this server really is.

I'm getting off track.

"What happened to you?" I asked.

"Me? Oh I'm fine! Big Man Tommy is always fine!" He puffed out his chest but then he winced and massaged where his rib cage would be.

I rose an eyebrow.

Yeah he's not fine. Something happened, I thought.

"Well I better be off then...," Tommy was about to leave when I stopped him.

"Wait here," I went upstairs to get ice and potions to relieve the pain.

I went back down to see Tommy staring at the window. I cleared my throat to get his attention.

"Here, place this around your ribs. Take this for the pain," I handed him the items.

Tommy took them before staring at them skeptically.

"I'm not going to kill you. If I did wanted you killed, you would have already been dead," I rolled my eyes.

"Uh huh...sure," he took the potion before making a face.

"Yuck! That's f*cking gross!" He shouted.

"That's a good sign. Now rest up before you have to go," I said.

"Huh? You're not throwing me out?" Tommy asked.

"Why would I do that to someone who is obviously injured? Broken ribs take up to six weeks to heal and they heal on their own as long as you take it easy," I explained.

"... where would you think I would go?" Tommy asked, his voice getting somewhat low.

"I dunno. Some place safe I guess," I shrugged.

"..."

Tommy was eerily quiet.

...

"Hmmm, looks like there's a snowstorm. You can stay here for a while," I muttered.

"Really! Oh I mean...yeah sure whatever...b*tch," Tommy said.

He hugged himself and looked down at the ground.

He seemed somewhat excited in staying here.

I wasn't quite sure what happened to him, but I don't think I could take care of him. Not right now at least.

Also I would be lying if I said that I wasn't a bit suspicious of him. Especially since he betrayed me.

"You can have the blanket and I'll clear some place here so you can sleep and rest," I said and tossed the blanket at him.

It was his before he left.

"Thanks...," Tommy muttered.

I cleaned some things up and set a sleeping bag.

"Here," I said.

Tommy went to the sleep bag and wrapped the blanket around him.

I went upstairs and sat down on a chair.

What happened with Tommy is not my problem but that doesn't mean that I can't just kick him out of my house while injured. Also with a snowstorm coming along. I'm not heartless. I'll have him stay here for a while until he gets better and then he can leave. Hopefully some place safe, I thought.

Still...something was nagging at me in the back of my head.

What in the world happen to Tommy?

A/N: the time line is going to be a bit wonky for this. The Butcher gang hasn't come to get Techno yet, Techno doesn't know about Tommy's exile yet and Tommy is just in pain.

I'll even be making my own lore for this.

Also I looked up how to treat broken ribs and Google told me things. Something about painkillers, ice and taking it easy while they heal. So I'm going off of what Google said, I'm not a medical professional, I don't have the brains for that.

(PS: sorry if these chapters are shorter than my last book. I just feel like short chapters fit the beginning more than longer chapters. Longer chapters will still happen but just not right now)
