(3rd Person PoV)

Jimmy was wandering around the restricted land in hopes of finding the others.

They all traveled here together but have been separated.

And also they only have three lives. You die one, you're on green. You die a second time, you're on yellow. And if you die a third time, you're on red.

Once on red, you become hostile and bloodthirsty that you can attack and kill other people.

Jimmy doesn't want that to happen.

In fact, almost no one wants that to happen but who knows what this environment might do.

Jimmy shook his head rapidly. He needs to mine some supplies in order to get through the day and night.

He went down a dark cave and began to mine the coal that was there.

He has enough stone to make a furnace in order to cook his food and the coal definitely helps.

He continued to mine until he heard footsteps.

Jimmy held up his pickaxe protectively.

"Hello?" He called out. No one is going to attack him, they are all on green.

He looked up to see a very familiar face.

"Hi Jimmy!" Scott said.

"Oh my god Scott!" Jimmy sighed in relief.

Scott is a friendly man albeit very chaotic and likes to bend the truth a lot.

Scott jumped into the cave and grinned at him.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Mining. What have you been up to?" Jimmy asked.

"Nothing much. I have been looking for the others but no luck until now," Scott explained.

"Same! You're actually the first person that I have met since we separated," Jimmy explained.

"Really?" Scott asked and Jimmy nodded.

"I'll stick by you then. Hmm, is there anything good in this cave?" Scott asked.

"I don't know. I reckon there is but I haven't explored much," Jimmy replied.

"Then let's go!" Scott said and pulled out a pickaxe.

The two of them went mining together until they found a pocket that was full of materials mainly filled with iron and lapis.

No diamonds yet.

Scott made a chest where they can put their unneeded stuff in.

"That's a lot of rubbish," Jimmy noted and Scott hummed in agreement.

Jimmy was about to put something in the chest before he hesitated.

It was a poppy. It was perfectly good one as well.

Jimmy liked poppies. They were his favorite flower. Petite and bright. They also have a deep meaning but he can't remember what.

"Here for you," Jimmy handed Scott the poppy.

"Aww thank you!" Scott smiled.

"I am declaring my love for-," Jimmy began.

"Oh well guess we're married now," Scott interrupted him while shrugging.

"What? No I meant my love for poppies," Jimmy corrected him.

"No for me," Scott stated stubbornly.

Jimmy felt his face go red with embarrassment as Scott stared at him as he said this.

"H-hey where do you think that staircase is heading to?" He asked, changing the subject.

There was a stone staircase that seemed to be going up forever.

It was already lit up with torches so it was man made.

"Yeah sure let's go," Scott went up first with Jimmy following him.

It led them to a beautiful flower field in the dip of a mountain.

"Cute!" Scott exclaimed.

"This is a really beautiful place," Jimmy noted.

The two of them looked around the place.

There were flowers dotted all over the place with trees standing mighty and strong. The fish were just casually bopping in the river just next to the place.

In the corner of Scott's eye, he spotted someone.

"Hey is that Scar?" He asked.

"Scar?" Jimmy turned to see where Scott was looking at.

"You don't think that this is his place?" Scott asked.

"I honestly hope not but I don't see like a base in here so I think he found it before abandoning it," Jimmy replied.

Scott hummed at this.

"Do you want to follow him and see where he's going?" He asked and Jimmy just shrugged.

"Sure why not?"

The duo followed Scar to see him meet up with Etho and Bdubs.

"Whoa Scar! Looks like you got a whole harem over here," Etho joked.

"Huh?" Scar turned around to see Scott and Jimmy following him.

"No we just found him and began to follow him," Scott explained.

"Uh huh, I see," Bdubs said.

An arrow went whooshing by and they all moved out of the way.

"Scary monsters here! Ok bye!" Scar ran off.

Jimmy grabbed his new iron sword and began to attack the skeleton.

He flinched as he heard Scott's yelp of pain.

The skeleton has been defeated and Jimmy went over to check on Scott who had an arrow stuck in his shoulder.

"Are you ok?" Jimmy asked.

"Yeah I'm fine. It surprisedly didn't make that much damage," Scott explained as the bleeding began to stop.

The arrow fell off on its own and Scott carefully moved his arm around to make sure that it still works.

"Yep! Good as new," he stated.

"Phew, hey where did everyone go?" Jimmy asked.

"Over here! There's a whole posse," Bdubs called out.

"Ok we're coming!" Jimmy called back.

Scott and him went over to where they were at.

It was Scar, Etho, Bdubs, Martyn, Tango,and Cleo.

They were vibing with a jukebox.

"Come join the vibe party!" Bdubs said.

The two of them joined the circle and began to vibe with the others.

"Is this what you used your diamond for?" Scott asked.

Jimmy fiddled around with his communicator to see if they got the achievement of diamonds.

They did and it was this whole group who got the achievement.

"Yeah we passed it around so we can all get the achievement," Martyn explained.

"Ohhh makes sense," Scott said.

"Man I wished we got the achievement," Jimmy sighed.

"We'll find diamonds soon," Scott waved it off.

Then suddenly, they got attacked by like a bunch of phantoms.

Hey it's hard to keep track on how many there were.

"EVERYONE TO THE SHELTER!" Bdubs shouted.

Everyone ran to it.

"Jesus! I never seen so many phantoms!" Scott cried.

"There were like three for each of us!" Etho added on.

"So do we just fight them off or we stay here?" Cleo asked.

"Umm I'd rather stay here thank you," Scar said.

"Suit yourself," Cleo shrugged.

"Wait Cleo, you're not actually planning on fighting that many phantoms are you?" Martyn asked.

"Dunno, seems like a challenge but it could be worth it," Cleo said.

"Well...I guess we can't stay in here forever," Tango added.

"But we literally just got here," Martyn said.

Knock! Knock!

"Are you taking refugees!" Impulse came in and had scratches on him.

"Uhh yeah, just waltz right in," Etho rolled his eyes.

"Yes we are! We really need to sleep. All of us," Bdubs explained.

"Do we have enough beds for all of us?" Tango looked around at them.

"I don't think we do," Cleo said.

"Guess we have to fight the phantoms," Bdubs sighed.

"Do we have to?" Scar asked.

Most of them nodded.

"Ok we all have to charge in there! On three! One...two...THREE! CHARGE!" Bdubs ran towards the door only to get hit by it because he stepped on a pressure plate which closed the door.

"Umm you ran into the door," Scott noted.

"Thanks Captain Obvious," Bdubs grumbled as Etho handed him an apple.

Everyone ran outside and attempted to attack the phantoms.

"They're so loud!" Martyn complained.

"Get use to it!" Cleo shouted.

"Jesus, why are there so many?" Scott cried as he attempted to jabbed at a couple of phantoms.

"Don't die!" Tango called out.

"Thanks Tango," Jimmy said.

"Get them under the trees! I think that will be easier," Etho suggested.

"Good idea," Bdubs agreed.

"Ow! Who shot me?" Martyn asked as an arrow got shot in his arm.

"Sorry, that was me," Scott said. He had a bow and arrow that was swapped in instead of the sword.

"Ow, who smacked me?!" Cleo shouted.

"My bad," Impulse apologized.

"This isn't good. We can't get to all of them without hurting one another. We need a new plan!" Bdubs stated.

"I got one! I got one!" Scar cheered.

"Under the trees!" Etho yelled.

Most of them went under the trees and began to slash at the phantoms.

Within time, all of the phantoms that were there have been defeated.

"Whoa! Now that was fun," Cleo said.

"Fun? Yeah right!" Bdubs snapped.

"Hey at least no one died right?" Impulse asked.

"True," Tango nodded.

"Well that was too much excitement for me. I'm off to that village I saw," Scar said.

"Which one? That one?" Etho asked, pointing to beyond yonder.

"Yes."

"Sorry, we already claimed that one," Bdubs apologized.

"Dang it! Well I'll still go over and check it out," Scar left.

"What do we do now?" Jimmy turned to ask Scott.

"Want to go back to that cute flower place we found?" Scott asked.

"Sure!"

The two of them left.

Scott glanced at the sky before the two of them entered the field.

There was this weird gut feeling in him. He hoped that it was nothing.

A/N: yeah! New story! My best attempt at making a fanfic on the Life series. It'll be a retelling. With some more relationship build up, cute fluffy things and so much ✨lore✨
