"Sharon." I whisper.
"(Y/N), you're here. Wonderful- enter my room." Slender says walking inside.
"(Y/N), you can't focus on that-! You have to pass this test- or you die!" Jane said pushing me into the office.
"B-b-but!"
"No buts! Listen! You can't focus of Sharon- focus on Jeff. He needs you!" Kate said grabbing my shoulders.
"Wait- WAIT!" I scream, tears pouring.
They stop pushing me.
"Even if I pass- how will Jeff survive?" I ask, trembling.
"Leave that to me. Jeff and I made a plan incase this happened. But in order for it to work- you can't fail. Do you understand me?" BEN said, panicking. I nod- still crying. I walk in and turn around. The three whispered goodbye, and the doors shut.
"Let's begin."

"Now. For the Fifth Test you shall be required to go to the Overworld and kill the only person left alive you felt close to. Or showed you kindness, or you loved. Since your mother is already gone, the only person left is Sharon." Slender said.
"H-H-how do you know about-"
"I know everything about everyone's lives before they joined here child. Everything. Now, since this mission tests your ability to kill, to survive, your stealth, and to remove all emotions, you will be given an hour to eliminate your target. Good luck child-"
"Slender-" I cut him off and looked at his pale face.

"I want you to drop the act. You are the father of all of them. You take care of your children as if their your own. I can feel your love for them. And that's your weakness. You're slowly dying, aren't you?"
He says nothing.
"And you love each and every one of them. Hoodie, Angel, Jack, Jill, Rake- all of them. So losing Jeff- you were counting on me to stop loving him weren't you?" He still remained silent.
"And I'm sorry I failed you. But BEN has come up with a plan to save him. It will require me passing... And I'm counting on you to keep Jeff alive until then. If I don't pass, I die. Which will break the love connection between me and Jeffery. Death do us part.. So either way- Jeffery will live. I promise." I said sternly. He bends down to meet my eyes.
"Then it's a promise I hope you keep.. My child. It's up to you. I hope to see you pass. Please." He stiffens. I nod with understanding. It's my turn to keep my promise. Slender grabs an orb with light blue mist in it. He smashes it on the ground and I block my vision- the bright light swarms the whole room. When it settles, a portal has been opened.

"Go. To the Overworld." He says. I run over to hug him hard.
"Thank you Slender.."
"No my child. Thank you." And with that I went on my way.

I'm coming Sharon.

"I-I'm home." I regain my balance and see my broken, run down house. The blood, dry but still there. The door, still broken on the floor. But the bodies- gone. Yellow police tape surrounded the place- I sigh. What have I gotten myself into? And suddenly my memory returns.
I'm a wanted criminal
But-but what if I'm not a criminal? They never had proof it was me.. Still, I can't risk it. I go straight to my closet and luckily my clothes were still in place. I grab a black hoodie and pull the hood on. Better take the back way.. Thank god I know where Sharon lives.

I start walking down the corridor, seeing blood stains here and there. I swallow my guilt and continue walking. I take a deep breath, smelling the world that was once mine.
"Oh lord. How I've failed you." I whisper. The blue cloudy sky glimmered, the yellow sun shinned it warm heat, the birds chirp in the beautiful sky. Things so small are so remarkable. A shame I took it all for granted. I finally meet the road where the streets split- Sharon lives to the right. I remember now. I look down at my watch and see I have 45 minutes left. Strolling down the sidewalks I see a few posters on the fences. I squint my eyes to make our the small wording. I gasp.

There- on the poster, was a picture of me.
"Well at least they don't believe I killed my mother.. I should still keep my hood on." I told myself. It's awfully lonely. No one to talk to. I rip the poster from the fence and crumble it and I stick it in my pocket. Suddenly I start to realize, that I actually have to kill my best friend. My friend from birth. My friend that stuck with me when no one else did.
"Ca-can I really do this?" I can't think straight anymore- it's all a big blur. The pressure- the guilt- the pain- all building up! My mind- ITS GOING CRAZY.

"AHHH, I CAN'T FUCKING DO IT!" I scream as loud as I can and collapse on the ground, shaking, crying. I hit the cement with my fists, causing them to bleed. But I can't feel the pain. I can't feel any physical pain. Because it's all emotional. I see a person down the street starring at me. My vision blurs, and I slowly loose conscience, until I fall into slumber.

I jolt up and look around me. A nice bed, pink with stuffed animals surrounding it. White dresser, hardwood floors, purple painted walls. It seemed to familiar. I look at my watch- I only have 15 minutes- shit. I hear foot steps coming up the stairs and cover myself in the blanket, pretending to be asleep. The door opens.

"(Y/N)?" I hear a girls voice. Wait. It can't be- I turn around and see my old friend.
"S-Sharon." My eyes bulge. She looked the same, curly honey-brown curls, ocean colored eyes, glowing peach skin. It's really her.
"S-Sharon!!" I cry and jump off the bed and tackle her in a hug, knocking us to the ground.
"(Y-Y/N)! It feels like it's been forever.." She hugged me tighter, I could feel the tears falling from her face onto my cheek.
"I-I've missed you Sharon.." I whisper, starting to cry again.
"I've missed you too.. Oh where have you been darling?!"
"It's too much to explain- I don't have much time. All I can say I was taken away to another place with different people; creature-like you could say. I was forced to do tests, to be one of them- and.. Oh Sharon I can't believe I ever wanted to leave this place. I miss high school, my mom, and I miss you!"
"Oh (Y/N).. I can't imagine what you've been through! I can't believe I found you on the streets.. Wait." She said looking into my eyes.
"You said you had to go through tests? What kind of test? And how did you escape?"
"I- I left through a portal- and tests that transported me into a virtual reality- and- and- this is a test right now!"
"T-this? As in- I'm not real?!" she exclaims.
"No, no! You're real- this right now is real-" I remember why I'm here. I look at Sharon's sweet delicate face.
"(Y/N).. Why are you here?" She says eyes watery.
"Be-because.. I- I.. I have to say goodbye to my best friend." I respond. And it was true. I do have to say good bye.
"W-why do you have to say goodbye? You're not staying with me? (Y/N)?" She starts to cry again.
"Be-because.. There's someone waiting for me. A boy.." I whisper.
"I-is he more important than our friendship? More important than me?" She cries.
"W-what? Sharon don't do that-"
"We can run away together (Y/N)- we can leave, leave all of this behind! Because.. Because.."
"Sharon- what are you-"
"Because I love you!" She bursts and hugs me again. My brain started stirring up again.
"Y-you love me?" I say shocked.
"Yes- yes I've always have-" she cups my face with her hands.
"D-do you feel the same, (Y/N)?"

Before I met Jeff, I have to admit, I did have a crush on my best friend. But- once I met him, I forgot all about Sharon. Jeff.. The love of my life... Right?

Out of no where she kisses me-
"S-Sharon! That was my first kiss!" I pull away shocked.
"I-I'm sorry! I- I don't know what got over me.." She said softly.
"I just don't want you to leave me.." She finishes.
I start thinking of the pros and cons of this situation. If I go with Sharon, Jeff lives, and I can leave the monster world. Con, I'll leave my true love.. But.. Then again, He'll live.. I look at Sharon's blue eyes.
It's Sharon or Jeff.

"Sharon. I love you." I say. She starts smiling and bouncing up in down.
"But!" I say, making her immediately calm down.
"I don't love you as my partner. I love someone else.. And he's waiting for me.. He's counting on me to finish this quest. But while being here with you, I have realized something. I can not say goodbye to you. Unfortunately since I'm going to fail, I will be transported to the other world. There, I will executed. The truth is- I'm suppose to kill you.. But I could never, never kill my best friend."
"Y-you have to kill me.. In order to pass.. In order to live.. In order to see- y-your true love.." She asks. I nod.
"Then why aren't you going to kill me? Y-you'll have everything you want- you'll be happy- I'd gladly die for you-"
"Because Sharon! I love you too. You're my best friend. And true, I could have all those things, but I could never live with the guilt of killing my friend. The girl who's been with me from the beginning." I smile at her and wipe the tear from her cheek.
"S-so.. What do we do now..?"
She says placing her hand on mine.
"We wait. If I'm going to die, I'm going to spend my last moments with you. When I return, I'll be killed. But you, and Jeff, my true love, can still be alive. You can both live a full life. So I'd gladly fail, because once I do, I'll be at peace."
"Funny.. You're always putting others in front of you. Maybe that's why I fell in love with you.. (Y/N), how much time do you have left?" I check my watch.
"2 minutes..." I sigh.
"Then cherish it, my love." She whispers and we both press our foreheads against each other.
"I'll finally see my mother again Sharon.." I cry.
"I'll miss you.." She says through her crying breaths.
"I'll miss you too.. I'll meet you on the other side okay?"
"Okay.. Watch over me, please.."

We embrace each other- and slowly my body started turning translucent, shimmering in gold light. My body was evaporating- disappearing and going back to the Underworld. I started being lifted in the air. My body's gone. I looked back at Sharon and said my final words to her,

"I promise."
But I have never been good at keep promises.
