This chapter will contain written details of kidnapping. And dark references to abuse.

Chloe's POV

' Lucifer is acting strange. Well, actually, when isn't he? Why did he react so weird when I told him Ellie had gone with Aidan to get a coffee? I don't think he's jealous. Is he? He couldn't.' Is my mindset stomping into the house and I start to wonder where exactly Dan is. 'Dispatch told me he wanted to me to meet him back here.' I toss aside the keys of my squadron car.

'Oh. There is. He's unusually quiet. I had half-expected him to hound me for a reason beyond my comprehension. Knowing him he's waiting. Great.' I readied myself.

'Hopefully there are a few new leads in the case. Won't waste time trying to start an argument.'

I spoke. " Hi, Dan. What did you find out?"

I registered, reacting quick, to the voice that didn't belong to my ex-husband. " Surprise."

Malcolm. Hand attached to my weapon, chills running through my chest of mistrust for him.

'How is he...? Never mind.' Malcolm upholds his hands, acquiescing both civility and wanting to share common ground. ' Shit.' I couldn't have him, of all people, here. I didn't need Betty walking in. She knew who he was, it doesn't mean I'd like for him to be around a space where she felt safe, secured. I'd be the worst mother in the world if I allowed it.

" Hey. Easy, Easy. Whoa, I just wanted to talk."

'There is nothing we could possibly have to speak on. All had been said and done. I hate saying this but I don't trust him. Knowing who he is.'

Hand itching to draw my gun, I let my eyes drift to his waist searching for a hidden weapon. I glare, glancing to the door I came through. Praying betty won't come home.

" You act all Chummy, in public, break in to my home. I come here to find you've tricked me to meet me in private? Excuse me if I'm not trusting." I put an emphasis on 'trusting'.

His hands, still shown, were up as he arose from a green rolling chair I bought for Trixie to use.

I watch Malcolm spin a full three sixty degrees, proving he didn't indeed have a gun on him. It didn't make me less relieved.

" See? Huh. It's nothing like that. Look I came here 'cause I wanna chat 'bout something personal. Well... I think it's more of a Who than what. Don't give me that look, I've seen Her. It's technically the reason why I called you here of all places. Oh, and how you're still looking into Palmetto."

He un-ceremoniously said, too casually.

I kept on a neutral front, wanting to avoid him seeing an expression of alarm setting in. 'Please tell me..'

" I put that case to rest. And I don't know who you're referring here, Malcolm." I lied straight to his face.

" Oh. Come on, now, decker. Is that the best you can come up with? Lying? Frankly I'm hurt you've kept up the lie you are doing. A decent cop, you are, but a terrible liar." My line of questioning begins soaring, to a higher level with the minutes I counted, as why he is here. I pondered on if I should hear him out.

" Ellie. I want to know 'bout her. She's the main reason, and a topic of discussion that's intriguing me. How is it You, of all people, manage to keep her under control? Years of lies? It's.. hurtful."

'Cause you're a dirty, Corrupted, bastard.'

The exact words I wanted to convey. Instead I kept a straight face.

" My daughter isn't part of this. You leave her Alone. She has built a life and I don't want you, of all people, to ruin that."

His mouth spasms hearing my order. Anger filled his eyes which considerably increased in fury. I sensed a shift in my houses energy, demonic. I tightened the grip on my pistol.

" She is Mine." Malcolm, unsettlingly calm and simple, said.  " MY daughter."

" I am her Father after all. She belongs to Me."

" She's not a possession you own, Malcolm. El.. Ellie is a person!" I exclaimed, ludicrously. " I don't know who you think you are, to say all of that bullshit. But I won't have you talk like you are 'bout her. You hear me?"

I'm astonished by his brazen lack of respect for Ellie.

'He's... He's changed. A lot. From the standard of when I.. I last saw him.'

" She's a human. Not some prized show pony to put out on a stage."

He inhaled, I guess I struck a nerve there, changing his tune of attitude and forced a laugh. " You got me! ".

'He needs to leave. I feel like he's up to nothing that is good.'

WARNING;
Drugging and Abduction.

~•~

Ellie's POV

I've been on edge since Aidan and I parted our ways from Malcolm. His mood was off-putting to say the least. If I could rewind time back I'd would've said 'No', to going.

I didn't let how he acted continue to derail my awaited afternoon.

Mom had taken over, the responsibility, of my case on an ongoing open investigation against a controversial 'cheater' therapist.

He was the latest of victims, and another cheating asshole, encouraging those who want to save their love life.

The answer is in his professional career.

Sandy, or Alexandra his wife, was bought in.

No one could corroborate her alibi however. But in the end his killer was apprehended, at a support group for cheaters.

I was told by uncle Dan, how Malcolm made an unexpected house call. He had wanted to know more about me and Mom sent him on his way. Now here I am waiting in the main hallway, of my school, for Aidan to walk out of the washroom.

I listened in, on to the principal, speaking on the subject of how saddening it is to see students leave. I'd guaranteed that speech was spoken moreover I would like to think.

" Shouldn't the leading girl be out there on the podium? I didn't come all this Way, just so I could find my girl hovering these halls."

Oh no. Malcolm. I spun on my heels, gulping.

I had a thought he wouldn't dare show his face, after mom threatened to expose him.

Bluff or not, I knew dad had the department on his side. He'd out smart anyone.

" Don't looked too shocked, Honey. I did say I would be here, to celebrate you moving up in the world. What kind of dad would I be if I missed this." He sniffled and my eyes trailed on splotches of Blood, on his hand as he wiped translucent sweat off his top lip.

' I know blood when I see it.' He noticed. " I had a bad case of the nosebleeds. Stress does it." Liar. Danger.

The voice murmured. Liar. Liar.

" Come on. Come here, Come give your dad a... hug. C'mon. I promise there is no ulterior and or immoral motive. You can Trust me. I don't have bad blood with you, Sweetheart."

He says, out-stretching his arms for a hug, strolling up. I rigidly dug my elbows in my sides at his arms caging and trapping me.

'I'm so uncomfortable.'

I watch for Aidan and wordlessly begged him to hurry. Malcolm's intimidating physique obtained an effortless advantage over my five foot six one. I struggled to be released from Dad's hold and I feel the pressure of my chest being squashed.

" Dad. Y.. You're hurting me. Dad, Ouch. Dad!"

I cried out. I faint a light gasp, all of sudden I had my sense of bodily autonomy and feeling lost. I bring my hand to the spot a surgical needle is injected. I was just drugged.

' he just.. he just..' Malcolm shushes, holding my hair. I wanted to fight the anesthetiser.

" Don't fight. I know. I know. This is scary. But this is the only solution where everyone wins. You get to come back home, with me. Your Real family. There.. you go. Kiddo. Sleep. Just sleep." Malcolm had lifted me in his arm, and I continue fighting to stay awake. My punches on his chest weaken.

I hear the last sound of reality, it being how I am announced by my full name, before I take a breath surrendering to the drugs. I whispered one final word, hoping he'd hear.

" Lucifer."

~•~

Awakening in a cold sweat, I gasped.

My eyes shot around, trying to remember each of the details of the location I'm at. It's an older more modern home.

Sheets covered furnishings and sealed windows, blocking out the sun, made it hard to distinguish certain landmarks.

" You're awake, Kiddo! That's great! Here. Made you an extra toasted sandwich, heard it from Espinoza you love em'. The wise crack won't Zip it."

Dad whistled. Two grilled cheese sandwiches, on a plate, were served to me. " You.. You.. drugged me. How could you?! Why?" I moved back several inches before it's halted and stop by an arm rest on the Sofa I'm laid on. ' I want my mom.' A whimper goes in my head.

" why dad?" I shouldn't call him That.

Malcolm languished, in a seemingly thoughtful manner, prior to thinking for an answer and shrugged. I recoiled at his sudden touch, sobs strangled by my breathing.

" You share so much of Catrina and her beauty. It's a Shame, really, how tragic her death was. Tsk. Tsk. She should've known.. better."

What? What is he saying?

" You. You... my dear. You.. are mine. You hear? I won't let No one take you from me. Unlike Charles. He.. he took the one woman I loved from me. Dick."

His blue eyes swirled with insanity. Provoked, at his memories, Malcolm ripped his hands off. I cowered back, bracing my arms, at my dad's out burst of rage. Punching a hole into a wall. I shuffled back digging my fingers in my palm. I moved a seperate leg up, one after another. He cooled off, brushing the dust away.

" Apology's for you having to witness that, Kiddo. Eat up. I don't want that food to go all soggy. Cold. I'll be back before you know it. Gotta go now!"

He kissed the side of my face.

I feel repulsion, and tried to be discreet about wiping my cheek.

" Don't go Anywhere. Oh! I forgot. You can't, anyway." He grinned. " I will know if you do."

Pointing to surveillance video cameras installed in each corner, I nodded. It's not like I could since I don't know where I am.

I've never felt more terrified in my life than I'm feeling this instant.

'I didn't think this is how I will die. Held hostage, kidnapped, drugged. By a man who is suppose to the main protector.'

I start crying in my palm.

' I'm so scared. Mom. Uncle Dan. Lucifer. Help me. Help me. Please.'

It was useless. They couldn't hear my pleads. I think of Trixie, Aidan, and Ana. 'Oh my god. I.. I forgot. Aidan! Malcolm better not have hurt.. him. I swear, If he did some..'

I couldn't jump to those conclusions. Aidan is an immortal. He can defend himself against a human like him.

I raised my head, to stare at the decaying roof. It had a shredded mold infested paint design.

" I don't know if you can hear me, God. If.. if I am doing this prayer wrong please forgive me. I could use your help. If it be anything. I.."

I closed my eyes to level out my breath. Praying to god is nothing I have done before. I ain't religious, none the wiser I knew he exists now. He's the grandparent of my kids.

" I know you sent amenadiel to be my guardian. I can't.. I can't feel him and it scares me, God. Malcolm must've know something somehow. What if..."

'What if I'm.. not ever found? I can't think that way.' Daylight was fast leaving, the sun going past the tree line horizon and a temperature drop is felt. I didn't realise how much time had gone and passed.

'I should.. try to sleep. Much as I don't want to.' Facing the board of the sofa I rested my eyes, focusing on my breathing.

It's not long until I succumbed to my tiredness.

-

ONE MONTH LATER

-

' Tired. I'm so tired. I can't do this anymore.'

I tugged on the restraints, which held me captive. My bruises had welted, healed, after I had tried setting myself free of Malcolm's hold. I caught an image, and glimpse, of my face in the rear view mirror to his car. Driving me to an undisclosed destination.

That is how I will meet my offical, most certain death.

I've never given a thought at the prospect of dying.

I imagined I'd grow old at the side of my love, hand in hand, as we laid in our death beds. Old. Wrinkled. The typical cliche how it's portrayed in those olden days silent films.

' I'm a hopeless romantic I know I am.' dad parked behind a stationed private jet.

" We're here."

Malcolm sang his words, opening the passenger side of the police vechile he had taken from the LAPD, aggressively taking a hold of my tricep. Pulling me out of my seat Malcolm dragged me, to sit, and I could hear his frustration simmering.

" You stay here, look pretty, while dad makes a phone call to your Mom. You've been a good girl. Don't mess it UP." Mom. 'Aunt Chloe. Oh. Oh, Mom.' I hoarsely coughed.

Malcolm walks a few feet from hearing distance. I am drained. I haven't had actual sustenance, food, as Dad restricted the privilege of eating. He did it as a Punishment.

I hung my chin to my chest. My one positive out-look is how I had a few change of clothes. A Cream coloured wooly cardigan.

" Hello there, Decker. How's the precinct? You know I still have buddies there at the station. I have someone here, who's misses her Mommy. It's so sickly sweet how you manage to be such a role-model to my Girl, Decker. I thought, Eh why not bless her with this one gesture? Say hi to mommy, Kiddo."

Malcolm positioned how he gave me the phone, moving sweat drenched hair from the speaker. I cried for the first time since arriving.

" Mommy, I'm scared. Where are you and dad? I want to go home. I want.. I want to go home." I throatily confessed, I broke down in tears. It takes my aunt a nanosecond to realize it's me.

" Ellie...? Ellie! Ellie, baby! Oh I am so sorry. I am so so sorry, baby. Are you okay? Are you.. are you hurt? Speak to me, Honey. Please. Did he.. Harm you in any..any.. Ellie-"

The phone is taken from my ear, Malcolm made a distinct noise of torment clicking his tongue.

" That... is quite enough. Aw, Poor Chloe decker. To have someone take something precious, from you. I can relate. Something valuable? Hurts don't it. Ding-ding we have a winner! Yes my Money."

He gripped the back of my neck, pulling my hair roughly. I grunted. " Now. Don't even think about talking to those cops. Remember, you don't know who is with me." He snarled; vindictive and tauntingly.

My eyes, frightened, crept into a deep terror to the sight of Malcolm holding the gun he had. " No Lucifer. Or ... She is good as dead. She dies. You don't want that. Do you? You'll be seeing your Daughter soon."

'Please hurry, Mom.'

An hour had gone before I knew it. A squad car rolled in the hanger. 'It's.. it's Mom. It's mom!' Relief flooded her eyes and face.

" You.. bastard.." she cursed, covering her mouth, noticing how much I've changed in the month that has been.

" Hold on. Hold on. Whoa." Malcolm, fire arm shoved in my rib-cage, glared. Stopping Mom. " I'm glad to see you came alone. Now toss the gun." I pleaded using my eyes for aunt Chloe to listen.

" Please.. Mommy. Do it." I say, gulping.

Mom slides her weapons on the marble tiles. I winced, after Malcolm pushes his gun further. " There. You happy?" Dejected, Mom looked at me mouthing 'Its going to be okay.'

Malcolm, a little more than satisfied his demands are met, shrugs; nonchalant.

" Yeah. If I get my money, sure. So. Where is it?"

Aunt Chloe firmly shook her head. " First you give me back my daughter or so help me.."

I stiffened, in response to how Malcolm grabbed my face. Using one hand. He forced me to stare at him.

" Oh, come on, now. Decker.. what are you gonna do? Huh? Ahh. I am feeling generous. Y'know what. Go. Go to your Mother."

He set me free, unbinding my hands. 'That was too.. too easy.' I backed off from the Monster who's responsible for my month-long torture. I ran to my mom's awaiting arms, adrenaline pulsating, and collapse in her embrace. Hysterically tears start pouring. " Mom. Mom. Don't let me go."

" Oh. Baby, I'm.. I'm sorry. We had never ever stopped searching for you. Your uncle Dan and I, Lucifer, Aid.. Aidan and Ana they all missed you. Trixie. She.. she will be so happy to see.. you are okay."

Mom checked me for bleeding. I winced when a sensitive spot on my left eye is touched.

" I got a few good hits in, Mom. I did. You should have seen me."

I wryly joked and I violently cough. Blood. 'Internalised bleeding.'

" I need you to go and hide. Hide really well." Mom instructed. " Go." No, I can't leave her. I can't. As if reading my mind she rests her fore head on mine. " I'll be fine. Okay. Now go."

My breathing, laboured, speeded up as I gathered the momentum I needed. Hidden, out of sight, behind a supply of aeroplane parts I rested my head on my knees.

I jumped on instinct, to fight, when a hand comes into contact with me. I stared, amazed, at Aidan who was borderline infuriated and I threw my arms around him. ' I am so glad he's alive.' He's okay.

" On the word of grandad. I.. I thought you were dead. Mom. Oh. He's going to pay for what he put you through. Dads here. He's here, Mom." That can't be. 'He isn't.. he's not suppose to be here. Malcolm.'

I stretched a hand out grazing a finger on Aidans jaw. " My sweet boy. You shouldn't be.." dread filled me.

He's going to die. He's going to die. He's going to die.

Lucifer. 'No. No. No no.' He can't die. I have to stop Malcolm. Aidan, confused, got up following my lead as I limped resting a hand to his fore arm. " Lucifer. No!" I shouted. I sprint at the fastest speed I could.

" Don't do it! No!"

There is a moment when you are close to death where life flashes, through whispers of the past and present, in your brain.

Pushing Lucifer out of the path, of his awaited demise, there is an unmistakable gun shot that sounded. I looked directly at my stomach, blood gushing out of it. Lucifer, Horrified at my sacrifice, shouts. " No."

" No. No. hey. Oh Darling." I listened to his rugged voice, begging me to keep open my eyes, and catching my fall. " Keep those eyes open. No! No. Don't do this to me, Darling."

Vision hazed, my eyes find their way to Malcolm wordlessly and menacingly walking off. Leaving me to die.

" I should have been on the receiving end of that bloody gun, not you."

Lucifer cradles both my head then body. Aidan sped towards Lucifer and I, kneeling down.

" I am. I'm okay. I'm okay."

I tried convincing him even when I wasn't. 'It's my time. I know.' My hand is taken, by my son. Crying profusely. " I have come to accept it's my time.. time to go." I could feel how my body was closing down. It is shortly Followed with a lightened sensation, my soul coming to terms I'm leaving this earthy plane and heading to heaven.

'Strange. I don't want to die. I am, though. That's okay.'

I held Lucifer by his cheek. Weakly I laughed.

" Our time was short. At least I got to know the greatest man I've known. My best friend. S..S.. shocker. I know. I feel.. I feel.. t.."

My eyes are slowly closing, during which I started to talk. I closed my eyes for the last time. hearing the screams of Aidan, Mom, and at last Lucifer. " Mom! No!"

'Goodbye.'

-

THAT EVENING

-

" Are you certain this is going to work, Brother. I don't want this to be false hope. She needs to be better. Surely."

Lucifer, hovering around a mortally wounded Ellie whose lifeless body is rested on his expensive yellow sofa, asked and a guilt-ridden amenadiel flattens her hair. Not too long after his recovery from being stabbed, by a now deceased Malcom Graham, he helped a distraught Lucifer carrying Ellie in his arms.

" Lucy. This is the first ACTUAL time, in all of celestial history known to our kind, this has happened. Turning a human into an Angel. It could take days, months and even years. The feather I gave her, all those weeks ago, kept her heart beating but it was faint. Real faint."

Lucifer, drinking away his troubles and worry, watched on as his brother tenderly sighed.

" I need this to work. Lucifer, i.. I need her to be ok. I failed her. Fundamentally."

A guardian Angel. That is who he is. He didn't keep his god ordained promise. 'Please. Wake up.'

For the first time Lucifer saw his brother cry an actual tear. All in the name of Elisabetta decker. Both celestials exchanged glances with one another hearing blood in Ellie's heart beat strengthen. ' The transformation.. it's worked.'

Inching closer to her, Lucifer paused his hand on his whiskey glass. Fingernails clanking. His anticipation ached on an already high note.

He gazed at Amen, the hands on his watch ticking.

Ellie's eyes flew open, Gasping to life. Her irises temporarily shining silver before it fades. She is awake.

Her new life as an Angel has started.

JASMINE SPEAKS;

Ellie is an Angel now! I thought I'd do a time jump, for the plots sake. Malcolm kidnapping her was always part of my plan.

That is why I'd added that warning before you guys read it.

My poor baby Ellie and Aidan going through it. Him witnessing his mom being abducted, hurt, abused. Only to end up immortal like him.

He can't catch a break.

What did you think of how I wrote this chapter? Ellie sacrificing her life??

I kinda cried writing this. I will, unashamedly, admit. Cause of sad, broken, Betty was after.

I did my own thing with how a human can be an Angel turned from being mortal.
