Third Person POV

"Hello, Ma," JJ said to his mother on the phone as he walked towards the school gate. "I will be delayed going back home today."

"And why is that?" Mrs. Jutamas asked her son.

"A classmate is treating me to dinner to congratulate me for getting the highest score in our World History end of semester exam," JJ explained.

"You got the highest score in World History?" Mrs. Jutamas could not believe her ears. JJ usually got only average scores in his exams.

"Not just the highest score, Ma, I got a perfect score!" JJ reported happily to his mother.

"Oh wow!" Mrs. Jutamas exclaimed. "I'm so proud of you, JJ! Keep up the good work! What time will you come home?"

"I'm not sure, Ma," JJ replied. "Hopefully not too late."

"Don't stay out too late then," Mrs. Jutamas said. "Don't forget your brother is arriving from London this evening."

"Ohmygahd, I almost forgot!" JJ explained.

JJ had an identical twin brother named AJ who had been granted a foreign exchange student scholarship from a school in London and he was coming home for a three week vacation. He was arriving In the evening and he would surely be disappointed if JJ was not at home to welcome him back. AJ had been gone for almost a year now.

For those who might not know him, his name is AJ Chayapol Jutamas. He is the identical twin brother of JJ. He has appeared in many BL series most notably in "Dark Blue Kiss".

"Okay, Ma," JJ promised his mother. "I will make sure to come home before he arrives."

JJ had barely placed his phone back in his pocket when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around. It was Lotte who had tapped on his shoulder.

"Let's cross to the other side of the street." Lotte said. "My mom parked her car there."

"Okay," said JJ as he followed close behind Lotte.

Lotte took JJ's hand when the light turned green and it was okay for them to cross the street.

JJ pulled his hand away and laughed saying "I'm not a child. I know how to cross the street safely."

"Sorry," Lotte said with an awkward smile.

Lotte led JJ to a silver gray SUV that was parked a few steps away.

"Mom this is my classmate, JJ," Lotte said to his mom as he motioned for JJ to get into the passenger seat in the back while he sat beside his mom in the front seat.

"Hi, JJ," said Lotte's mom. "So what's up, Lotte?"

"Mom, can you drop us off at the mall?" Lotte asked.

"Why?" the mom wanted to know.

"I would like to try out the newly opened seafood grill restaurant there," Lotte replied. "I asked JJ to come with me."

Lotte did not mention to his mother that he was treating JJ to dinner to congratulate him for getting a perfect score in the World History exam. He did not want his mother to know that he had done poorly in the exam.

"How will you get home?" Lotte's mom asked.

"We will just take a bus. There are lots of buses that go by the mall," Lotte replied.

"Alright then," Lotte's mom said. "But don't stay out too late. The buses might stop running by the time you decide to go home."

"We won't stay out late, mom." Lotte promised.

"Does JJ's mother know that he's not coming home yet after school?" Lotte's mom wanted to know.

Lotte turned to JJ. Lotte didn't know if JJ had contacted his mother about their plans.

"My mom knows," JJ replied.
