JJ's POV
I almost choked on my hot cocoa when I felt Euro's hand land heavily on the back of my shoulder.
"We need to talk," Euro said without preliminaries.
"Okay," I said, thankful that we were finally talking to each other.
He sat down on the chair across from me.
I pushed over my blueberry bagel to him. He pushed it back to me and grabbed the ham and cheese croissant that I was about to bite into.
Euro was back to being Euro and I was happy about that.
He took one big bite from it and asked between his munches, "Why did you have to tell Lotte of all people?"
"Because I decided that telling the truth was better than having to hide it," I replied.
"But why to Lotte, of all people?" Euro insisted on knowing.
"Because he was the only one who asked," I replied simply. "No, wait, Mr. Sivakorn asked me as well. He asked as I was handing him my test paper."
"And what did you say to him?" Euro asked as he took another bite out of the croissant.
"I lied to him. I said that I was practicing to be Captain Sparrow," I replied.
"Did he believe you?" Euro asked.
I watched him pop the last bit of the croissant into his mouth before replying.
"No, he didn't. He said that he was aware that there was no drama guild this semester," I said before biting into my blueberry bagel.
Euro grabbed my cup of hot cocoa and sipped from it.
"Hey!" I protested. "You drank from the side where I drank. Do you realize that you have accidentally given me an indirect kiss???"
"It was intentional," he declared with a smirk but he wasn't looking at me.
I turned my head to see whom he was looking at.
Lotte had approached our table with his tray of food.
"Can I join your table?" Lotte asked me.
"Sure," I replied.
"No, you can't," Euro said at the exact same time.
"Thanks, JJ," Lotte said as he set his tray down on the table and sat on the chair right next to me.
Euro took another sip from my cup of hot cocoa and gave it back to me.
"I drank from the same side again, that makes it two indirect kisses," Euro said, sending a smug look to Lotte before standing and walking away from the table.
"Hey, why don't you stay till we finish eating," I called out to Euro.
"I don't like being a third wheel," he replied, walking away so fast that it seemed more like he was running away.
"Ignore his drama," Lotte said, grabbing my wrist as I made a move to stand up and go after Euro.
"He's not being dramatic," I said as I tugged my wrist away from him.
"Can't you wait for me to finish my food?" Lotte pleaded. "You haven't finished your cocoa drink anyway."
I sat back again.
Lotte took my cup and repositioned it so that the side where Euro hadn't drank from was towards me.
Lotte watched me as I lifted the cup to my lips.
Then he took a bite out of his tuna salad sandwich.
I noticed the smug look on his face.
