JJ's POV

I was conflicted.

I was still hurting from Euro's obvious unfaithfulness to me but at the same time I just could not discard my loving feelings towards him.

I was still cradling him in my arms when the ER doctor walked into the cubicle. He instructed Euro to lie down on his ER bed.

The doctor performed a thorough bodily assessment on him and took his vital signs which included his blood pressure and respiratory rate and heart rate.

"You;re doing alright,: the doctor eventually declared.

Then the doctor turned to the nurse who was standing behind him.

"You may prepare his discharge papers now" he said to the nurse who quickly walked out of the cubicle to do as the doctor instructed,

"Wait here for the nurse to bring you your discharge papers," the doctor told Euro before stepping out of the cubicle.

Once we were alone, Euro sat up and flung himself against me, hugging ne tightly.

"Please forgive me, JJ," he was sobbing into my chest as he spoke. I could feel the warmth of his breath through the fabric of my shirt. It was starting to turn me on. "I promise it won't ever happen again, please believe me."

I let out a loud sigh.

"You seriously promise?" I asked, holding his face gently away from my chest to look him square in the eyes.

He nodded vigorously before pressing his face against my chest once more and wrapping his arms around me.

I let out a sigh, softly this time. What could I do. I just had to take his word for it.

Soon the nurse came back and handed us Euro's discharge papers.

"There are instructions on the last page of these documents on how to care for your injury," the nurse said, and then watched as I helped Euro to walk on his unaffected leg out of the cubicle.

"Will you be needing a wheelchair to take you to the lobby?" the nurse asked Euro.

"I'll be fine, thank you," Euro replied. "My boyfriend here will be my cane to aid me out of here."

"You have a very handsome boyfriend," the nurse remarked, looking appreciatively at me.

"Take your eyes off him, please," Euro said in a possessive tone of voice.

We heard the nurse chuckle before she turned away to attend to her other duties.

My dad immediately approached us when he saw us walk out of the ER unit. He went over to the other side of Euro to assist him towards the parking lot.

He dropped Euro off at his house. I told my dad that I wanted to spend the rest of the day in Euro's house and my dad agreed.

Euro's mom was beside herself with worry over Euro, fussing over him and offering him and me a platter of her newly baked apple turnovers and two cartons of chilled Choco milk.

Euro and I were back to our old selves as we chatted and joked around and munched happily on the crunchy turnovers and sipped from the straws of our Choco milk. We had not realized how thirsty and hungry we had been until just now.

I hated how Euro always outjoked me.  I hated that he never ran out of puns and retorts and follow up jokes to the ones that I just told. I knew that even if Lotte sometimes got higher scores in our exams, Euro was still the smarter one and the smartest student in our class.

We had totally forgotten about the time and only realized it when his mom went up to Euro's room to ask me if I wanted to stay for dinner.

"Thank you but I probably shouldn't," I politely declined her invitation. "My mother might actually be looking for me by now."

"Stay for dinner," Euro begged, fluttering his eyelashes at me.

I dropped a kiss on his nose.

"I'll come to see you first thing in the morning," I promised.

He pouted at me but pushed me gently and said "Go then"

Back at my house, AJ and I avoided each other's eyes at dinner. We joined in on our parents' conversation and avoided talking directly to each other.

AJ excused himself first after dinner to say he was going to take a shower.

I followed much later.

I walked into the bedroom that we shared just in time to hear AJ's phone sound with an incoming text notification.

I took a glance at it.

"Alright then, I wish you a safe trip back to London"

The text was from Euro.
