S N E A K P E E K

Sarah could see him despite the flashing lights and the crowd of drunk, dancing people. She sucked in her breath as he came to a stop right in front of her.

The intensity of his unabashed stare made her blush a little but she didn't look away from him. She wasn't going to let him know that he had that sort of effect on her.

He leaned down a little, which caused her to take a step back. But there was nowhere to run since he had her backed up against the wall. Her breathing got unsteady as he kept inching closer to her face, never once breaking their eye contact. He was watching her, she knew. He was watching to see if she'd push him away.

Why wasn't she?

It was like Sarah was at war with her brain and her body.

Her body seemed to be malfunctioning because instead of reaching out to push him away like it should, it seemed to want him more closer.

She could now feel his breath on her face and she shuddered. She was sure that every hair on her body was standing up. This situation was so out of hand.

"Go on, Sarah," he mumbled tracing the tip of his nose lightly against her cheek, causing another shudder to go through her. "Stop me." His voice tickled her and his mouth was dangerously close to her ear.

Stop! She silently wailed in her mind but found no words to utter.

Truth to be told, she didn't want him to stop. Not really. She wanted him to continue, she wanted him to look at her with that hungry, yearning stare of his. She didn't want him to stop.

She turned her head a little and grazed his lips softly with hers. It wasn't really a kiss, more like a soft feathery touch but it was enough to make his breath hitch.

She pulled away from him with a mischievous smile on her lips and whispered, "Stop," she said, her eyebrow raised in a challenging gesture.

She knew he wouldn't stop. And she didn't care at the moment.
