Near went to the library after the physics class.
He sat on the carpet in a corner of the big room and began stacking cards in the shape of the Eiffel Tower.
A was in the room in front of the library. The dance room. She did ballet.
Near would see her practicing sometimes through the big glass windows of the two rooms.
He focused his attention back to his Eiffel Tower.
He watched as his creation came down and became nothing.
"I'm tired of you thinking that you're better than everyone!" Mello yelled at him, grabbing Near by the collar.
The library grew silent.
The kind of silence that meant that everyone stopped reading and their attention was turned to Mello bullying Near again.
Even the other students breathing pattern changed.
Near said nothing to Mello which resulted to being shoved and cornered to a wall by the impulsive blond.
"Answer me! Don't ignore me!" Mello yelled at the younger boy.
"I do not think I am better than Mello or anyone. Maybe Mello has an inferiority complex," Near said.
Mello stood there shock. Eyes widen. Took a moment to think of what to reply.
"That's enough! Mello, leave Near alone," the librarian rushed towards them and separated Mello from Near.
Near saw everyone staring at them.
Even the ballet students from the dance room across the library had rushed in at the sound of Mello's screaming.
Mello truly knew how to show his anger.
Mello angrily stormed out of the library and Matt followed behind him.
"There there," A stroked Near's hair. "He's gone."
Near didn't like contact but A was always nice to him. Near liked the warmth he felt. Outside the classroom Near was a ghost. Didn't exist.
