Eijiro Kirishima was 5 years old when he got his quirk, his first scar, and first ever time, of his dad, being disappointed in him. The last time he saw his mother.

"M-mommy? W-what'd I do wrong?!" Kiri ran after her as his mother walked out the door ignoring him. His father picked him up with a growl "she's useless to us Eijiro."

Kirishima started crying not understanding why his mom would leave him especially when he was bleeding. (Remember Eijiro woke to pee and cut his eye when his quirk showed) He struggled shoving his dad away. "No!! Papa!! Mama crying!! She run away!! We have to help mama!!!!"

"NO EIJIRO!! YOUR MOTHER DOESNT LOVE YOU!!! SO SHUT YOUR MOUTH!! STOP THAT UGLY FUCKING WHINING! ITS YOUR FAULT!!!" He screamed at him, shutting the little shark toothed toddler up instantly. "M-...my fault, M-mama  not n-not love me!?" His dad put him down scowling.

Eijiro went to his room sobbing his poor eyelid was bleeding as he laid his head on his pillow. Not knowing why his parents were so mean to him.

He understood though. Very, very soon.

"It's because I'm useless."
