It was the middle of October. Most of the leaves had already fallen off the trees, and the weather outside had been at a constant 50 degrees Fahrenheit for a few weeks now, only dropping lower at night. All the members of BTS were very outdoorsy and decided they wanted to take one last camping trip together for the season before the weather got too cold. All the members except Taehyung, he hated being outside. He hated the woods, he hated leaves, he hated dirt, and he especially hated camping. This time of year always caused him allergies, which would irritate his asthma. He tried to stay inside and away from nature as much as possible once the weather got colder.

"Why do I have to come? Can't you guys just go without me?" Taehyung protested, as everyone was in the dorm finishing up packing for the trip. The trip he hadn't packed for, because he wasn't planning to go.

"It won't be the same without you there! Tae-hyungie you have to come! Please? We all want you to come. I want you to come," Jungkook pouted at him, and gave him his famous doe eyed look.

"You'll be with everyone else, I'll still be here when you get back."

All the members started pestering him about coming with them, they felt uncomfortable doing something without all seven of them being together. It always made them feel incomplete and like something was missing. Taehyung continued to protest, until Jungkook trapped him in a back hug pleading for him to come. It was always extremely hard not giving in to Jungkook, being his only maknae made Taehyung a complete pushover 100% of the time.

"Fine! I'll go! Since none of you can take no for an answer! Have you heard about this thing called CONSENT?!" Taehyung tried to sound angry, but even he thought his own joke was kind of funny. He hurriedly packed a quick bag of clothes into a suitcase, and ran out the door to the van with it where the other members had been waiting.

"Wait! I forgot something! " Jimin yelled as the van door was shutting. He sprinted back inside to grab one of his hats out of their dorm, and saw Taehyung's inhaler sitting on the couch. How could he forget this?! Jimin grabbed it and ran back to the van. He threw Taehyung's inhaler at him, "Responsibility isn't your strongest quality, is it?" he asked.

"You know what else isn't my strongest quality? Camping trips. And being held captive into going on one," this got a laugh out of his members.

The trip was about a two hour drive to the campsite and they all took turns driving, except Namjoon who didn't have a license or Taehyung who refused to drive just for the sake of acting angry at everyone else.

They drove the van up a rather large mountain, the scenery was beautiful. Brown and yellow leaves falling, the sun shining out over a view of the land. Taehyung's anger subsided a bit at the view, he may have hated the outdoors but he was a sucker for a beautiful view.

They finally reached their campsite, it truly was in the middle of nowhere. Not that any of them minded, they enjoyed their privacy away from fans when they got the chance to have it. Everyone began setting up tents and chairs and lanterns that they would be using. Jin noticed the campsite had a nice fire pit, but they didn't have any firewood.

"Ahh okay, whose going to get firewood?" Jin asked the group.

Jungkook immediately offered to get it. He was always a very obedient maknae, and did whatever he could to get praises from his hyungs. Not to mention, he loved a good workout and this would be the perfect way to get an extra one in.

"Okay, but does someone want to help him? We need a lot, you can't get it all by yourself," Jin told him. Namjoon suggested Taehyung help since he didn't help drive.

"Me?! You didn't help drive either!" he yelled in protest at Namjoon.

"That's because I don't have a license!"

"Well maybe you should get one!" Taehyung was annoyed at the gesture.

Jin decided to pull out his hyung card, which he didn't do often. "Taehyung, just go help Jungkook get some firewood. The quicker you go the sooner you're done."

Taehyung marched off into the woods while Jungkook quickly grabbed his jacket and gloves. He didn't want to get his outfit all dirty. He ran to catch up with Taehyung.

The two silently wandered into the woods around the campsite to pick up the best pieces of firewood they could find. Jungkook was having trouble finding ones he was satisfied with, so they were out looking for quite a while. He finally had a decently sized stack-full in his arms, "Okay, good. Hyung these should be good right?" he asked Taehyung. He started laughing hysterically when he saw Taehyung only had a bundle of tiny twigs in his hands.

"Hyung! What are we supposed to do with those?!" he laughed.

Taehyung started laughing too, "Gathering firewood is also not one of my strongest qualities."

"I think I should have enough, we should go back now though I think we've been gone a while," Jungkook looked at the scenery around him. Everything looked unfamiliar, and there was no sign of a campsite.

"Uh...hyung....which way is back?"

"Ha ha ha. You think you can scare me like that? Your jokes aren't funny Kookie," Taehyung stepped closer to Jungkook, who didn't move. "Well..why aren't you moving?" Taehyung asked.

"I...I don't know which way to move. I don't remember which way we came from.." Jungkook looked at Taehyung, and Taehyung could tell there was actual panic on his maknae's face. "You're the outdoorsy one! You're suppose to be good with directions! Can't you just tell by a tree or something?!" Taehyung was raising his voice in anger, but relaxed when he saw how nervous it was making Jungkook. He looked around, "I think I remember us coming from that way," Taehyung said reassuringly. He started walking in one direction and Jungkook followed. Taehyung didn't want Jungkook to know he had no idea where he was. He was just trying to calm his maknae down. He was panicking a little bit, but he switched into protective hyung mode, even though that meant lying.

At the campsite, the members were starting to worry. It should not have been taking this long to get firewood. Taehyung and Jungkook had been gone for hours. Jimin tried calling Taehyung's phone, and heard ringing coming from inside the van.

" You can't be serious right now," Jimin said with a disappointed tone. All the members walked over to the van to find Taehyung's cell phone sitting on the seat...with his inhaler sitting right next to it.

Oh no.

This made everyone panic, they knew how bad Taehyung's asthma got in the fall. He wasn't supposed to go anywhere without his inhaler. They tried calling Jungkook instead, and heard ringing from inside the tent. Namjoon ran over to the tent, and Jungkook's phone was laying on the ground next to the sleeping bag the maknae had set up earlier.

"How did they BOTH forget their phones?! In the middle of the woods?!" Namjoon was furious, but it was ignited by fear and worry more than actual anger.

"Well we need to hurry up and find them. Taehyung's bound to have an asthma attack if they're lost out there and not to mention it'll be really cold soon. Only Jungkook brought his jacket," Yoongi tried to stay composed. Everyone split up around the campsite, screaming for their members.

"Just don't go too far into the woods, I don't want someone else getting lost," Jin said authoritatively.

"JUNGKOOK-AH?! TEAHYUNGIE?!?!" "KOOKIE!!? TAE?!?" Everyone's shouts were echoing throughout the woods.

"You said you knew where you were going! We've been walking forever! We should have been back by now!" Jungkook yelled at his hyung, panic filling his voice. He noticed Taehyung didn't answer him, but had stopped and was facing away from him. "Tae-Tae?" he walked up to Taehyung and placed his hand on his back. "I didn't mean to yell at you, I'm sorry." He felt Taehyung wheezing. "Tae?! Tae what's wrong?!" the panic was back in his voice. Taehyung turned around to look at him, his face was beat red and his eyes were fighting back tears.

"N-Nothing. I'm fi-ne," he choked over his own words. Jungkook started frantically reaching into Taehyung's pockets, " Where is your inhaler?" He heard Taehyung whisper something but couldn't hear what he said.

"Where is it?!"

Taehyung started wiping his tears as he inhaled a raspy breath, "I don't know."

"You didn't bring it?! We were gathering firewood, you didn't think to bring it?!" Jungkook was panicking. He didn't know how to help Taehyung if he had an asthma attack without an inhaler.

"Responsibility isn't one of..." Taehyung began. Jungkook cut him off, "Your strongest qualities , yeah yeah I know!"

Taehyung started crying harder. Reality set in that they were absolutely lost in some random woods, neither of them had their phones, he didn't have his inhaler, and he was already having a hard time breathing. Plus he was getting really cold, it was already getting dark out. Jungkook wrapped him in a tight hug, " Hey, hey. It's okay. Calm down. We will find our way out. I'm sure they're already looking for us. We'll be fine, okay? Try not to panic, that'll make it worse. Just breathe okay?"

Taehyung embraced the hug, the warmth of Jungkook against his cold body and his reassuring words helped him relax. He stopped crying, and was able to stable his breathing. We'll be okay, he reassured himself. If he was going to be lost in the woods with anyone, he was at least glad it was Jungkook. His maknae was a survivalist and watched a ton of Youtube videos on how to live in the woods.

"Hyung you're freezing," Jungkook took his jacket off and offered it to Taehyung, who only had sweatpants and a t-shirt on.

"No, that's yours. I'll be fine."

" I have an idea," Jungkook walked over to a big tree that had a hole in the bottom of it and sat down inside,putting his jacket on and leaning against the tree, "Come here." Taehyung walked over to him, confused on what idea this was.

"When someone is lost in the woods, they're suppose to sit and wait in one spot so they get found sooner," Jungkook began, "So we're going to stay against this tree." Jungkook reached up for Taehyung's arm and grabbed it, pulling him down to sit, Taehyung leaned back against him. Jungkook zipped his jacket up around Taehyung so they were both inside of it, and wrapped his arms around him to keep him warm . Taehyung leaned his head back into Jungkook's neck, " I don't know a lot about nature but I'm like 100% sure this is an animals house. What if it comes back?"

"Then it'll have to wait it's turn. Are you warm enough?" Jungkook asked his hyung. He knew the cold weather could trigger Taehyung's asthma again and that scared the shit out of him.

"Yes, thank you." Jungkook could hear the tiredness in his voice. He hugged him tighter, " I hope hyungs aren't too worried.." he rested his head against Taehyung's and they both let the darkness overtake them as they fell asleep.

They're hyungs were more than worried. They had called the police after searching for hours not being able to find them, and it was already dark out. They couldn't just leave them out there in the dark, in the cold.

"How long have they been missing?" a policeman was talking to Jin.

"All day! They set out for firewood like eight hours ago and never came back! " all the members were crying, filled with worry.

"They could be hurt! Or dead! Please find them! Tae-Tae has asthma but he left his inhaler here! We have to find them! " Jimin handed the policeman Taehyung's inhaler in a panic. The policeman told him to hold on to it incase they came back. The policeman was saying codes over his walkie-talkie, as a search team was getting ready to make their way into the woods.

" I want the five of you to stay right here. If they come back, it's best you guys are here for them," to everyone's surprise, Hobi protested.

" You expect us to just sit here and wait while they're lost out there?! Let us help find them! The more people looking the better right?!" Hobi was yelling at the officer.

" I understand your concern, but it's too risky. My team will search all night. They can't be too far, they probably just ended up going in circles all day. We will do everything we can, and we will find them. You have to wait here." Hobi just turned away and buried his face into Yoongi's shoulder. They all sat around in their chairs as they watched the search team head into the woods.

Namjoon tried to reassure his team, "They'll be okay. Jungkook lives for all that crazy survival stuff. He will keep them safe.."

"But Taehyung...he won't know how to help Taehyung if he..." Jimin ended his sentence. He didn't want to finish it. All they could do was sit there and wait, hoping their youngest members were found safe.

Morning came in the blink of an eye. Jungkook was woken up to Taehyung coughing in his sleep. Nobody has found us yet...? He tried to reassure himself that they were probably still looking. He shook Taehyung to wake him up. "Stop doing that," Jungkook demanded.

"Doing what?"

"Coughing. Stop doing that. You're not allowed to cough, it freaks me out."

Taehyung held his breath.

"What are you...stop doing that too!"

Taehyung exhaled and laughed, coughing a little bit but he was okay.

"For being the older one, how is it that YOU'RE the brat?" Jungkook unzipped them out of his jacket, to their surprise it had warmed up quite a bit. Taehyung looked around, realizing they were still lost. "So, now what are we supposed to do? Clearly sitting here didn't do us any good, Jungkook!" Jungkook was taken back by the sudden angry outburst.

"We should find something to eat. You're clearly hungry."

"What on earth do you expect us to eat out here? Tree bark?!"

"Actually, there are various types of tree barks that are really good for you. And bugs," Jungkook went on to list all the various forms of nature they could eat. As he was explaining all his knowledge of the outdoors, Taehyung began walking away from him.

"Where are you going?"

"To find our campsite."

"Tae! Wait! You're supposed to stay in one spot! Don't wander off, you'll just get more lost!"

" How could we possibly get more lost Jungkook? We're as lost as lost can get. We stayed in one spot all night and nobody found us. So I'm not going to sit here and wait even longer for nobody to find us. Enjoy sitting here eating your bugs if you want, but I'm going to find the campsite."

Jungkook ran after him and grabbed his arm, " Wait!" Taehyung angrily shook him off, "What?!"

"A river. We should find a river. A river always leads to some kind of civilization. We may not find our campsite but we could end up running into someone else who might have a phone and we could call them."

"Wow, you actually have a good idea for once." Jungkook was hurt by the comment, but didn't react to it, he knew Taehyung was just scared and hungry. Jungkook knew how to locate rivers in the forest, and with his knowledge, and to Taehyung's surprise, they actually found one.

Jungkook got on his hands and knees and started scooping handfuls of river water into his mouth, until Taehyung yanked him backwards by his shirt. "What the hell are you doing Jungkook?! That's disgusting! You don't know what's in that water, you're going to get sick!"

" I don't care. I'm so thirsty. People aren't supposed to go more than three days without water. It's day two. You need to drink some too."

"I'm not drinking that."

"Hyung people die in three days without water! You need water!" Jungkook was getting extremely irritated that Taehyung wouldn't listen to any advice he tried to offer this entire time they had been lost. Taehyung didn't know anything about being in the woods, why wouldn't he just listen?!

"I'll be fine Jungkook. We better be found before tomorrow anyways. I don't think I can make it much longer being stuck out here with you." Jungkook felt a pain in his chest, "What..what do you mean by that?"

"What do I mean by that?! You keep telling me what to do! It's annoying! You're annoying! Do you even want to be found?! You seem to be enjoying this whole nature adventure. Well guess what, I'm not! I just want to go find our campsite and you keep telling me to stay put while you go play in rivers!"

Jungkook's eyes filled with tears. "I...I'm trying to protect you."

Taehyung marched up to Jungkook and grabbed his arm, squeezing it out of anger. " I don't need your stupid protection, maknae! I don't need you! I'll probably do better by myself , honestly! So would you! You seem to have it all figured out! Don't let me hold you back. You can sit around waiting all you want, I'm leaving!" Taehyung took both his hands and pushed Jungkook backwards, slamming him into the ground. Taehyung turned around and continued to walk away.

Jungkook was in too much pain and too heartbroken to get back up, but he screamed for Taehyung to come back. " TAEHYUNG! STOP! TAE! TAE! PLEASE! DON'T GO! TAEHYUNG!!" he was too exhausted. He gave up and just laid on the ground in tears. Please come back.

Three days. Their two youngest members had already been missing for three days. Different search parties had came and went, and emergency personal tried convincing the members to go get a hotel, but they refused to leave the campsite. They weren't going to go stay in a comfortable room while their two maknae's were both lost in the woods, cold and hungry, and probably hurt. Emergency personnel continued to bring them food and water, not that any of them had an appetite. Hobi overheard one of the police officers talking about changing the search from a rescue to a recovery. He went over to Namjoon to ask him what that meant.

" A recovery mission?!" Namjoon ran over to the officers. "Don't assume they're dead!"

"We aren't assuming, but we do have to prepare for the worst. We are sending in our helicopter team as well. If they haven't found shelter or food or water in these past three days, chances are not in our favor." Everyone burst into tears and hugged eachother. Jimin was still clutching Taehyung's inhaler in his hand. He hadn't let go of it. He was so angry at Taehyung for forgetting it. If Taehyung wasn't dead, when they found him he'd kill him himself for being so stupid! They all heard the incoming of a helicopter as more people went back into the woods to look. There were also ambulances that had pulled up to the campsite because everyone knew at this point the two would need medical attention once they were found.

Jungkook and Taehyung had been separated for over a day now. Jungkook stayed close to the river, and kept drinking from it after determining it wasn't making him sick. He ate tree bark and random bugs he'd find. Even though he was hungry, he didn't have much of an appetite. He was worried sick about Taehyung. Hyung can't defend himself. He doesn't even have a jacket, or his inhaler. He won't drink water, or eat. He's probably not even conscious. What if he was eaten? What if he was stuck somewhere? Or couldn't breathe? Jungkook spent most of the day sitting against a tree crying. He tried to reassure himself. Maybe Taehyung found the campsite and he's leading them to me? He failed at the reassurance when he remembered how mad his hyung was at him when he left. He probably doesn't even want them to find me..

However, Jungkook wasn't aware that Taehyung hadn't gone as far away as he thought. His hyung had angrily stormed off the day before, but didn't make it very far before he was hit with guilt for yelling at and pushing Jungkook to the ground. He heard Jungkook screaming for him not to leave him, and he decided he wasn't going to. He still didn't want to be bothered though, so he kept his distance so Jungkook would think he was gone. Taehyung was around, and knew what Jungkook had been up to, he was keeping his eyes on him. He wasn't just going to leave him lost in the woods alone, he could never do that to him. Being annoyed and angry didn't mean he didn't love or care about him.

Taehyung sat behind a tree not too far from where Jungkook was. He could hear Jungkook sobbing, making him cry too. He wanted to comfort him so badly but was still consumed with guilt and wasn't ready to face him yet, he wanted to figure out how to correctly apologize first. Jungkook's sobs became almost deafening, even in a giant forest. Taehyung started crying harder, making it difficult for him to breathe.

No, not right now.

Taehyung felt panic creep into his chest and throat as he started to hyperventilate. He gasped for breath but couldn't find it. It hurt to breathe. The air was too sharp, too cold. In his panic he did the only thing he could think to do.

"JUNGKOOK!" he screamed through his broken breaths.

Jungkook shot his head up from the position he had it in. Was that....Taehyung? For a second he thought he was just going crazy and hearing things.

"JUNGKOOK!!" Taehyung screamed again. That was all he had in him. Jungkook shot up from where he was sitting and started running towards where he heard the sound from, "TAE?!" He ran until he found Taehyung slumped behind a tree drowning in tears, he was hyperventilating really badly.

"HYUNG! HYUNG! Where have you been!?" he put his hand on Taehyung's chest and felt that he couldn't breathe, almost at all. Taehyung put his own hand to his chest and grabbed at his own throat. He was panicking.

"Taehyung stop! I don't know what to do! " Jungkook's tears were back. "Hyung I don't know what to do!" In a panic Jungkook pushed on Taehyung's chest, making him let out a breath but Taehyung couldn't get one back in.

"I'm so sorry! I thought that would help! " Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's shirt and just stared at him with panic in his eyes. Taehyung didn't know what to do either. He couldn't even speak. He couldn't breathe. Jungkook figured he would try something else, so he put his mouth to Taehyung's and breathed into as hard as he could. Taehyung started choking worse than before. "I'm so sorry! I'm trying to help you but I don't know how!" Jungkook started screaming for help as loud as he could. He could only hope that someone was out there close enough to hear him.

A member of the search team stopped in their tracks, "SH!" everyone froze, "Did anyone else hear that?" Not even a moment later, they all heard a male voice screaming for help. Everyone started running towards the noise to find a panicking Jungkook and a nearly unconscious Taehyung. One of the search team members radio-ed into the police officers, " We found them! We found them! We need a medic ASAP! WE NEED A MEDIC!"

All of the members heard the police officers walkie-talkie go off, and they heard Jungkook screaming in the background of it. They watched as paramedics gathered up stretchers and equipment.

"They found them?! What's wrong?! Why a medic?! Are they okay!? Was that Jungkookie?! Why was he screaming?!" all the members didn't feel like waiting around, they started running with the paramedics through the woods.

Jungkook was screaming at the search team people. "Save him! Do something! He can't breathe! He has asthma, he can't breathe! Please help him!" he could barely catch his breath through his tears.

Taehyung was turning blue and his eyes were starting to roll into the back of his head as soon as the paramedics showed up. Jungkook saw his members run up behind them and he ran to them. Jin and Namjoon picked him up into a hug. " What the hell happened?! Three days Jungkook! Are you okay?!" they all ran to Taehyung's side. The paramedics had laid Taehyung on the ground and put an oxygen mask to his face. " I have his inhaler! I have it!" Jimin pulled it out of his pocket and gave it to one of the paramedics. The paramedic attached the inhaler to the mask, which was a new piece of medical equipment that helped send medicine into the lungs more quickly. The members had all kneeled around him, clinging to him, begging him to be okay.

As the medicine started to work, Taehyung's color came back to him again. He didn't look dead anymore. He started coughing, which was a good sign. Jungkook pulled him into a hug. Taehyung didn't even care that everyone was sweaty and dirty, he needed a hug from all of them. He finally had enough breath to start crying. Everyone wrapped their arms around him and Jungkook.

Taehyung looked at his inhaler attached to his oxygen mask. "Jimin," he began. Everyone was shocked and thrilled to hear him talk. "Responsibility isn't one of my strongest qualities," he let out a small laugh before coughing again. Jimin punched him in the arm. " I hate you," Jimin said jokingly.

Jungkook and Taehyung both had to stay in the hospital for a couple days. They were both hooked up to IV's and were being treated for dehydration, malnourishment, and to their surprise, hypothermia. Doctors also wanted to keep an eye on Taehyung's asthma before sending him home. They had requested to share a room, so their hospital beds were right next to eachother. The members had all gone down to the hospital cafeteria to grab lunch.

"Jungkook-ah?" Taehyung began.

"Hyung?"

"I'm sorry. About everything. I didn't mean anything I said to you out there. Please know that. You're not annoying at all, and I do need you. I was just scared and took it out on you. I shouldn't have done that to you."

Jungkook smiled, " You didn't actually leave me , did you?"

"No. I stuck around. I had my eyes on you the whole time."

"Wow, what a creep." They both laughed. Taehyung got out of his bed and cuddled up next to Jungkook instead. "This is a lot better than your jacket," Taehyung smiled.

The members all came back in with a bunch of little snacks and gifts they bought for the two. Everyone chatted and talked about their experience over those three painful days, and they also promised Taehyung to never make him do anything he didn't want to ever again.
