Introduction
(Heyyyyyyyyyyy guys! Today I remembered you're supposed to "actually post shit instead of just being on notes and writing things" so here I am! Enjoy this smol, vague, poorly written introduction. And as you now know, this book IS NOT Hercules Mulligan.)
It's a "cold" morning in Orlando, around 60 degrees. White rays of sun pierce through a cloak of grey clouds, which don't threaten rain, but offer shade. Somewhere the sun always beats down on it's nice to have days like this. Pine needles carpet the sidewalks, worn from the treads of shoes, and crunch loudly under the feet of a large group of young people. In their manner of movement, they could be called a swarm. Darting about and conversing heatedly, this group, for the most part, is full of energy.
"Let me explain it one more time," one man addresses the rest of the crowd. "See you come," he gestures to them, "To my house," he gestures vaguely behind him, "And boom! Disney movie marathon," the man makes firecracker noises as he mimes an explosion.
A young woman raises her hand, as if in a class, "Aindriú aren't there twelve of us...?"
"Relax! I have chairs."
The girl looks skeptical.
"...and a floor.."
A flannel-clad man in the crowd shrugs. "That's good enough for me."
"Victor! See this guy know what he's talking about!" Aindriú says, clapping Victor on the shoulder.
"What movies are you even showing...?" another woman asks. The entire group turns to give her a look ranging from "WHY THIS AGAIN" to "I'm about to slap a bitch".
"DEJA!" someone yells.
Aindriú artfully ignores them, addressing Deja. "Have we not gone over this?" he sighs. "Well, a little review never killed anybody."
"That's what they all say..." a girl mutters.
Aindriú shoots her a silencing glare before continuing, "We're watching Lilo & Stitch, then Mulan, then Lion King, then fast-fowarding through all of Cars except for that one song, then Cars 2, and if anyone's still there after that, we'll figure it out. You know it was hard for me to decide which-"
"We know." a man in a grey-blue patterned sweatshirt says quietly, rolling his eyes.
Aindriú is still beaming with excitement. "So everyone's in?" He looks around.
"Yup," grins a boy in an oversized
T-shirt.
"Sure?" says a young woman in a teal hoodie, the tallest of the group.
"Only because I know you'll find me and kill me if I don't come," says Deja, visibly cringing.
"Same," warily responds a boy who looks like he just stepped out of an anime.
"I'm in," mischievously smiles a boy in black and bright yellow-green near the back of the group.
"I guess," groans the girl who had first questioned the seating situation.
"Umm... Okay," mumbles the young man in the blue-grey sweatshirt.
"I'll go," relents a girl in sunset tones and dark blues.
"Only because I have nothing better to do," sighs a young woman who, from the look Aindriú shot her, probably had a part in planning this movie night.
"Did I not already say I was going?!" frustratedly shouts Victor.
"I guess I'm the supervision," sighs a person mostly clad in black.
"Yay!!" Aindriú exclaims. "Movie night toniiiiighhhhtttt!"
(I hate writing like this but it's the best way to do an introduction kind of thing)
(It's short I know. Thanks for reading this much x3)
