Ding Dong.
Dylan sighed in his bedroom, checking himself in the mirror one more time.
Okay, okay. Everything looks okay.. Stop worrying, Dylan.
He walked out of his bedroom and through the living room, "Coming!"
The young man opened the door to Samantha standing on his step, wearing an oversized shirt and jeggings. She had her glasses on this time and her hair in a ponytail.
Sam had asked him at work if he wanted to hang out that day. He reluctantly said yes and was conflicted whether he'll be able to handle himself now.
She knew his real feelings.
He sorta knew hers...
Would things be the same?
Dylan just stared at her complexion. She looked beautiful even dressed down. He smiled, "Hey."
She looked a little nervous too, adjusting her glasses, "Hey, Dill."
He just stared at her, not saying anything.
"So..you gonna invite me in?" Sam asked with a smirk now.
Frazzled, he came out of his trance with a goofy laugh, "Oh, yeah come on in haha."
Dylan opened the door wide for her and she walked inside.
...
They both sat on the couch, holding a bowl of Frosted Flakes and watching an old sitcom on T.V. Sam had her legs in a criss cross position while Dylan sat with one leg over the other.
Sam tilted her head at the screen in front of her, "So...why does the dad have to be such a tightwad with everybody?"
"Most shows portray the father role as grumpy and strict, especially back then."
"I see you have your commentary hat on today."
"Well, I did post three different commentary videos this morning," he said with a little cockiness.
"Ah, I see..I'll have to watch that later."
After that, Sam continued to stare at the T.V. screen and zone out into her thoughts. The thought of Ben returned. He was only a friend to her.. Did she make it seem like they were anything more? Did she really hurt Dylan? She didn't mean to....

"It's always great bumping into you, Sammy," Ben said with a charm in his posture, leaning his arm against the counter.
Benjamin Kelley, 25 year old brunette from Austin Texas. He was coming to originally visit his family since he was born in Wisconsin.
"Same to you, Ben," Samantha said, smiling at the fact he still called her by the nickname like he used to.
Ben took her hand, and with a wink pecked her fingers with his lips.
She laughed and pulled her hand away, slipping it into her pocket, "Bye, Ben.." Then he left.
Sam giggled to herself as the cocky young man headed out the McDonalds front doors. She missed his charismatic interactions they had together. Ben always one to be overbearing and flirtatious of some sorts, but it was all in fun... It was good to see him again.
Soon Dylan arrived at his station, the other cash register beside her.
Sam saw him and smiled, "Hey, Dill Pickle."
He waved halfheartedly and continued to keep his head down at the dirty floor under him.
She noticed his quietness and asked, "Hey, are you doing alright?"
With a startle, he looked up a her, not really realizing his blatant melancholy expression. He plastered a smile on his face, "Yeah, I'm fine."
The girl didn't really believe him but let it go, "Okay..." she turned back to open the cash box and heard Dylan give off a disappointed sigh. It wasn't meant to be loud but Sam heard it.
At the time, she never thought that her and Ben could've been the reason for that sigh. Sam was the reason for him being disappointed. She hurt him....
"I'm sorry."
Dylan looked up from the screen towards Sam's direction, "What?"
She shook her head, unable to eat anymore cereal, "I'm sorry for making you upset... I hurt you."
The young woman set the bowl of cereal down on the counter infront of them. She now put her legs up and wrapped her arms around them, "I didn't mean for it to look like I was pushing you away...I'd never wanted to get rid of you."
Dylan felt bad and set down his own cereal, "Hey it's okay..."
"No it's not."
"Sam-,"
"I like you Dylan," Sam blurted out and suddenly turned a light shade of pink, "I like you alot and it hurts me to know I was the reason someone that I care so much about is upset.."
Dylan's cheeks flushed as he heard her words.
She liked him?
How would he have ever known..
Then the man took hold of Sam's hand and looked into her eyes, "Do you really know why I was so upset when I saw you and Ben together?"
Samantha shook her head and Dylan continued, "The reason why was that I was so slow to realize I made myself search for girls on a dating app when the person I was looking for was right next to me the whole time."
Sam couldn't believe the words she was hearing.
Dylan couldn't either, "Ben seemed to know your worth before I did and I thought I missed my chance...I didn't want to loose you."
It was silent between them as they stared at each other for a long time.
Samantha smiled, "You really thought that you would loose me?"
Dylan smirked a little without an answer. He just continued to stare.
Suddenly, he reached his hand and held her cheek, leaning toward her.
Sam noticed this and let him, her heart pounding rapidly.
Their lips locked as Dylan continued to hold her.
Sparks were flying.
Their thoughts were spiraling.
They had no idea what was happened.
They lingered for a while until the two slowly pulled away.
Both of their faces were flushed staring back at one another.
Sam and Dylan lightly giggled as they thought on what just occurred between them.
The girl fixed her glasses, "Wow..."
Dylan couldn't figure out his words, "That was...wow."
"We should do that more often," Sam joked, still holding his hand.
"Oh really," he teased, "would you like some more Dill magic?"
"Shut up dork."
They both laughed and went in for another kiss.
