June 16th, 2017

She had long blonde hair.

An angelic figure.

Soft eyes.

Full lips.

An infectious smile.

The most amazing laugh.

A beautiful personality no one else had.

he fell for her trap.

she lodged herself in his brain.

he couldn't get her out

he'd never get her out

she's stuck.

"Aghh..," Dylan moaned in his bed, turning back and forth. He couldn't sleep. He was tired but she filled his thoughts.

Just like those endless nights...

The youtuber sat up and looked at his alarm clock; 12:23 AM.

He groaned.

Dylan pulled off the covers and headed toward the kitchen.

...

He shoved another spoonful of Lucky Charms, munching on the moon marshmallows in his mouth. He never imagined he'd be awake at 12:30 AM, eating Lucky Charms and watching a random TV special on a Saturday night and NOT enjoy it.

Dylan felt lost.

And lonely.

Sure he has thousands of followers on Youtube but that didn't mean he didn't feel alone at times.

He missed her. Alot.

Jasmine O'Reily.

That was her name.

It still is her name.

She was his everything...

Dylan met Jasmine at a New Years Eve celebration in 2015. He had been invited by a friend that was in with the rowdy party people. He wasn't much of the big-group-partying type, but he fought with himself that he should go.

He was told to wear something "fresh" so he found something that he hadn't worn for a while. It was a black dress shirt and blue jeans. He fixed his hair like normal and thought that'd be fine.

Once he walked into the building, he knew he was out of place. Don't get him wrong, the music was tight and the flashing colored lights added a nice touch, but it was just the crowd. There was too many people in there. He was nervous.

He stayed outside. His friend came out and told him to come inside but he refused. Dylan was fine standing out there. The air felt nice.

What really caught his attention was the beautiful scenery ahead of him. The night sky shined and the fields below were breath taking. He found beauty in the little things that no one really understood. That's why he felt separated.

Then someone came out on the deck.

"What's a handsome guy like yourself doing alone out here?"

The voice startled him.

He didn't realize anyone was out there.

Dylan turned around and made eye contact with the most gorgeous girl he'd ever seen.

She wore a long black dress. A little tight on the skin for his taste, but she pulled it off. And her hair hung down elegantly on her shoulders.

He was speechless, his cheeks warming up.

"Uh, I was just getting some air...the sight is so majestic."

He said this as he stared at her, she smirked.

He clamped up.

She liked that, "Why don't you come inside? They have some groovy songs playing."

Dylan hadn't been paying attention to the music, he could only feel the base vibrating his body.

He just smiled, rubbing his neck, "Ah yes, I can hear it from out here."

The girl stepped closer.

She grabbed his hand, sending sparks through his arm, "Come on, let's dance to one song."

He didn't answer.

She persisted, "One song."

Her eyes spoke volumes.

How could he say no to those eyes?

He smiled, "Fine," he put his hand through hers, "My names Dylan. Dylan Matthews."

She smiled at him, "Jasmine O'Reily."

Dylan spoke out his mind, "What a beautiful name."

Jasmine liked this attention, "Thank you," she pulled on his hand, "Shall we go?"

"We shall"

And that was how it started.

Those 5 months.

He spent 5 months with her.

She was fun, crazy, beautiful.

But she left him.

One day she found someone better.

More usable.

More suitable.

More special.

He wasn't special.

Why did she have to lead him on?

She used him.

Manipulated him.

Spoke lies into his ears.

One of them felt like getting stabbed 28 times;

"I love you"

She didn't love him.

She never did.
...

Dylan sat there staring at his empty bowl of cereal and sighed.

Get over her.

Just get over her.

He walked back to the kitchen, shoving the bowl and spoon into the sink.

Get over her.

He waddled tiredly towards the bathroom.

Get over her.

He stepped into the room and flicked the light switch on.

Get over her.

He stared at his reflection in the mirror. His eyes were red and puffy.

He wasn't over her.

Dylan slowly leaned his elbows on the sink and sobbed.
