One More Chance

"Holy shit, Patrick," Pete pulls away from me. "I'm sorry,"

"Don't be," I lean in and kiss him again, softer this time.

"Patrick, I can't do this. We can't do this," Pete runs a hand through his hair, not realising he still has me pressed against the counter. This isn't happening. In a second, our positions are flipped, and he's the one pinned to the counter.

"Tell me that you honestly don't want this, Pete. That you honestly don't want me," He looks away from me, unshed tears in his eyes.

"It's not that I don't want you. It's that I don't want the shit that comes with you, Patrick," He tries to push me away, but I just grab his hands and lay them flat on the counter.

"You're in love with me, Pete," I say. He doesn't make eye contact with me until I pull his chin up.

"But you don't love me, Patrick!" He yells. "You don't love me, and I can't handle that," He whispers this time.

I drop his chin and let go of his hands. He pushes me away easily and says, "I think you should go. Unless you wanna take my medicine first. Go right ahead,"

"Pete, that was--" I stop talking when he points at the door. I sigh loudly and grab my hat before leaving.

I know he's in love with me. Why does he play so hard to get?

Maybe because you fucked him over more than once.

Dammit, I have to fix this. I turn back around and knock on his door. He opens it and says, "Patrick--" I push past him and shut the door behind me. A second later, I have him pushed against the door. "What are you doing?"

"Shut the fuck up, and listen to me," I take a deep breath. "I know I don't say it a lot, but I'm grateful for you, alright? I'd be an idiot to let you go, and you're an idiot for thinking that I'm going to let you go that easily. You're stuck with me, Wentz," He doesn't laugh like I expect, he just tries to push me away. "Pete, stop,"

"No! Patrick, I'm in fucking love with you, and you don't say it back!" He yells, trying to push me away again.

"Pete," I whisper, "please stop," He looks up and stops hitting me. "All of this is because you think I don't love you?"

"You've never said it, so how am I supposed to know?" I blink (A/N: 182) when he says that.

"Peter Lewis Kingston the Third, I love you. I'm in love with you," He starts grinning widely. "I love you so much,"

"I love you too, 'Rick," He whispers before leaning in and kissing me.

My phone rings, breaking us out of the moment. "Fuck," I whine before answering it. "Yeah, okay. Okay, we'll be right over," I say. "Come on, Pete,"

I get in my car, and Pete gets in his, following me to Joe's house.

Twenty minutes later, Joe, Pete, and I are all sitting on the couch in Joe's living room. Joe claimed he had something 'really fucking important to tell us, and I don't care if you two are still bitching.' So we're both here, holding hands on Joe's couch, sitting opposite to the man himself.

"Holy shit," Pete says.

"Do you think it's a good idea?" Joe asks hopefully.

"I think it's something," I mumble, looking at Pete. His brown eyes are blown wide, like he's more shocked than I am.

"Will you help me?" He's pouting, and I've never been able to resist a pouting Joe Trohman, so I just nod. "So if all goes right, I'll be an engaged man," Joe beams at both of us. I look at Pete, who has a small smile on his face. This could work.

--

"Hey, Andy, I think Joe wants to marry you," I sing. I'm currently in the mirror, practising a stupid Bruno Mars song that I can't sing because my voice doesn't work like that.

Our concert is in five minutes, and that's our closing song. I have to perfect it in that small amount of time. And I have to do it acoustic because Andy's going to come down beside Pete, who's going to somehow coax him away from his drums, and Joe has to propose.

"You'll do great, baby," Pete's arms snake around his waist, and he kisses my neck softly, making my breath hitch.

"I hope so," I murmur.

"Stage call number one. Fall Out Boy to stage two in one minute. Set to go on in five," A guy knocks on our door, scaring both of us. Warped Tour doesn't fucking play, do they?

"Hey, Patrick," Pete asks after he pulls his t-shirt off, grabbing another one.

"Yeah?" I turn towards him. We're on in a minute, and I don't have a shirt or shoes on.

"I love you," He says. I feel my cheeks heat up.

"I love you too," I say, making him grin and tug his shirt on, covering up all of the ink on his chest. Why does Pete have to wear a shirt, but Andy doesn't?

"I can't find my shoes, Pete. Or any of my baseball hats. And I lost my contacts. This is terrible. Have you seen this mess?" I point at my hair. He shakes his head before grabbing a random hat.

"Here, take this," He places a black fedora on the top of my head and big glasses on the bridge of my nose. "Go without shoes. I like your feet,"

I look in the mirror. I don't look half bad. I push the fedora down on my head and the glasses further up. They're my prescription, too.

"Pete, you planned this, didn't you?" He smirks but doesn't say anything, grabbing my hand and pulling me with him. He picks up an acoustic and tosses it to me. I'm playing acoustic all night, apparently. He picks up his own bass before shooting me a grin.

"Five, four, three, two," The same stage hand from earlier points at us as the curtains open, revealing about thirty thousand people. I smile instantly.

"Hello, Warped Tour, we are Fall Out Boy!" I say into the mic, making them scream. The adrenaline rush never leaves, no matter how much you perform. You never get used to it.

"We're here to sing you shitty songs by our shitty band," Pete says, causing the fans to laugh and yell more. "This is Dance, Dance,"

After a very chill concert (which is a bit unusual for Warped), Pete says, "Mr. Hurley, may I see you down here for a moment?" Andy looks confused as he gets up and sets his drumsticks down on his chair, making his way to Pete and I.

Pete gestures for him to sit in a chair that was brought on the stage by Dirty. Andy sits down. "I hope you like it, Andy," Joe says, and I start strumming, adding a few of my own notes into the mix.

"It's a beautiful night. He's looking for something dumb to do. Hey, Andy," I pause and look at Joe, "I think he wants to marry you," I point at Joe as I strum the next chords.

Andy's mouth is wide open throughout the whole song, and since we're inside for the night, Pete got all of the lights off somehow, so the crowd has their phones out, waving them back and forth. I smile as I sing the last line, "Hey, Andy, I think Joe wants to marry you,"

Joe kneels down in front of Andy with the black velvet box in his hand. The crowd goes crazy. Pete comes to stand next to me as Andy is almost in tears.

"Andrew John Hurley, will you marry me?" Andy just nods, probably not trusting his voice as he stands up and kisses Joe. After they pull away, Joe slips the ring on Andy's finger and holds his hand up. "Sorry, guys and girls, this stud is taken," He kisses the back of Andy's hand as they walk off stage together.

"Alright, well, I refuse to room near them tonight," Pete says into the microphone, making the crowd laugh loudly. "Goodnight, Warped. Patrick, Joe, Andy, and I are very happy to to play with you all this summer. Thank you for having us, and we'll see you again tomorrow!"

I just simply wave my goodbye, grabbing Pete's hand as we walk off of the stage.

"I love you," Pete says again. I roll my eyes but kiss him.

"I love you too,"
