Chapter 2

Ranya's POV

I'm walking through the tall grass, trying my best to avoid battles. No luck. I actually caught a Pokemon, a Patrat and a Lillipup. They seem to be the only Pokemon in the area. Some random lady gave me a potion. "Maybe if I drink it I'll wake up?" I wondered aloud by accident. "No, bad idea!" The woman said. "I wasn't talking to you, lady." I said harshly and walked off. I don't usually talk that rudely, but I'm just upset. I despise Pokémon, so this is turning out to be more of a nightmare. And it's so long! But, I tend to forget most of my dreams, so this could be normal. I'm tempted to blame it on Emily, but it's not her fault, this is just a dream. Right? My Pikachu is level 8 now, and Patrat and Lillipup are level 6. I have this weird thing where I like all my Pokemon to be the same level- what? I like everything organized. I trained Patrat and Lillipup to level 8, also. When I got to the end of route 1, Hilda, Cheren and Bianca were already there. "Let's see who caught the most Pokémon!" Bianca announced. We compared Pokemon and whoop-de-doo, I got the most. Once we get to Accumula Town, Professer Juniper was there. She taught us the basics of a Pokémon Center; Healing our Pokémon, the PC box, and the shop. There were also people upstairs, but I didn't feel like checking it out. The Professer finally finished talking, then left. Bianca was buying potions, so I healed my Pokemon and went back outside. "Come here," Cheren told me, and I did. He led me to a crowd of people, watching some guy with green hair. He gave this speech about how his name is Ghetsis and he's one of the Seven Sages of 'Team Plasma'. Who the heck is- oh, I remember. Each if these Pokemon games have some team that tries to take over the world or 'liberate Pokémon' and other crap to entertain kids. This 'Team Plasma' thinks that Pokémon battling is wrong, and that people should free their Pokémon. I disagree, but whatever floats their boat. More like whatever mames Nintendo money. Ghetsis ended his speech, and everyone left except a guy in a black hat with green hair. He said something about my Pokémon talking? "Slow down. You talk to fast." Cheren said. "And what's this about Pokémon...talking? That's an odd thing to say." He continued. The guy said something about us not being able to hear it, then introduced himself. "My name is N." Weird name, but I guess Ranya isn't so common either. He said more about Trainers confining Pokémon in balls, and if they were really happy that way. How am I supposed to know? "Well then, Ranya, let me hear your Pokémon's voice again!" N walked up to me and just like that, I'm thrown into a battle.

***I DON'T BELIEVE IN FAIRIES***

Yay, I'm the winner. All N had was a level 7 Purrloin. It was pretty easy since my Pokemon are all level 8, but if he's the first battle, I'll need to be stronger than this. Once N and Cheren left, I trained all my Pokemon to level 10. I wandered around the town for a bit more, hoping to wake up. I remembered that Emily always said, "Always talk to everyone you meet!" I did, resulting in me getting a free Pokéball. And, now I'm stuck in a game of rock-paper-scissors with a little girl, except here it's fire-water-grass, for Pokemon types. I won 2 out of 3. I healed my Pokemon again, bought a few potions, and headed to route 2.

***I DON'T BELIEVE IN FAIRIES***

I finally reached the end of route 2, a Purrloin now in my party. I was walking through the gate to Striation City when Bianca stopped me. She wanted to battle, how can I refuse? No, literally: the game forces me to battle her. I battled her and won. She left, and I arrived in Striation City.
