Chapter Six: Killing Death

After Anna and Deans story, we continued on. We faced a 'ghost' that didn't turn out to be a ghost at all, but an uncared for child and her brother. After that we faced three magicians and almost died, like we do. We visited our old school and Sam had to face an old bully of his, as a ghost. We faced a siren and might or might not have died if Bobby hadn't showed up in time. We were currently on a case about the people who wouldn't die and Pamela made us spirits. We'd figured out that demons, Alastair, was taking Reapers to break a seal. We met a reaper named Tessa that Dean knew when we got in the car crash with dad, she was taken too. After walking around the place where Alastair was keeping the reapers, we found the two reapers. They were guarded by a demon.

"Dude, check me out." Dean said before he vanished and appeared behind the demon. He tapped him on the shoulder and when the demon turned around he got punched in the face. Next, I tapped him and punched him, and finally, Sam did the same. This repeated one more time before Sam kneed the demon. We continued fighting until some demons tied an iron chain around us.

"Oh, great." I said sarcastically, as usual. Alastair walked out from behind a curtain and I stared at him, fear building up inside me.

"Girls and boys, find the place okay?" he asked.

"Actually, technically, it would be girl and boys because I'm the only girl here other than Tessa and well, she can't answer you because she's passed out!" I rambled, yelling the last part. Alastair walked forward as I talked and a demon handed him a gun. "Uh, what are you going to do with that?" I asked. He aimed it at me and shot. I disappeared for a second before coming back, pain consuming me.

"Alastair... You bastard." Dean said. Alistair chuckled.

"Well, go on. Why don't you try some of your mojo on me now, hot shot? It's hard to get it up when you're not wearing your meat, huh?" Alastair said to Sam.

"Go to hell." Was Sams reply.

"Ah, if only I could, but they just keep sending me back up to this arctic craphole." he said, turning and walking away.

"To kill death?" Dean asked.

"No, to kill death twice. It takes two to break a seal. I figured another one would show up, though. they're like lemmings," he said, cocking his gun before shooting Sam and walking over to me and Dean. I looked at where he used to stand. "By the way, it's, uh, good to see you again, guys." he said, looking from Dean to me. The uneasy feeling I felt towards Ruby came back, although this time there was a reason.

"You can shoot us all you want, but you can't kill us." Dean said. I looked at him, there was one way. Sam appeared again, grunting.

"Ah, that so?" he said. He started cleaning a scythe, the one he could kill the reapers with. "Anyhoo. Moons in the right spot. The board is set. Let's get started, shall we?" he said.

"You're gonna kill a reaper with that?" Dean asked as if it was the dumbest plan he's ever heard. "It's a little on the nose, don't you think?"

"Is it? An old friend lent it to me. You know, he doesn't really ride a pale horse, but he does have three amigos. And they're just jonesing for the apocalypse," he said and walked toward the two reapers. He kneeled down to the older looking one. "Pays to have friends in low places, don't you think?" he said, lifting up the reaper. He chanted something before slicing the reapers neck, killing him. He walked over to Tessa and I looked to Dean and Sam for a plan. They were staring at a chandelier and I caught on quick. I focused on the lamp and as he finished chanting it fell, shattering on the edge of the symbol. Tessa vanished and reappeared, taking the iron chain away so we could leave.

"Bya." I said before we all teleported outside of the place. We noticed Sam wasn't there, Tessa did too.

"Where's your brother?" She asked.

"We'll go find him. You get out of here." Dean instructed, grabbing my arm and pulling me with him. We started walking fast, looking high and low for Sam when a voice made me freeze.

"You can't run, guys. Not from me. I'm inside those angst-y little noggins of yours." he said, walking forward. I grabbed Dean and tried to make him back up but a bolt of lighting stopped me. Me and Dean shielded ourselves. When we looked back up, Alastair was gone.

"What the hell." Dean and I said together. We did that a lot.

"Guess again." a deep gravelly voice said behind us. We turned around to be met with Cass.

"What just happened?" I asked.

"What just happened? You two and Sam just saved a seal. We captured Alastair. Dean, Henrietta, this was a victory." he said.

"Yeah, thanks for your help by the way." I said in my notorious sarcastic voice.

"What makes you say that?" he asked.

"You were here the whole time?" Dean asked.

"Enough of it."

"Well, thanks for your help with the rock salt." Dean said sarcastically.

"Hurt like a bitch." I mumbled.

"That script on that funeral home, we couldn't penetrate it." he said.

"Not a good enough reason to use the word penetrate." I said, getting nothing but a foot stomping from Dean.

"That was angel-proofing?" Dean asked.

"Why do you think I recruited you two and Sam in the first place?" he asked.

"Hold on, you recruited us?" I asked, he looked at me.

"That wasn't your friend Bobby who called, Henrietta. It wasn't Bobby who told Sam about the seal."

"It was you?" I asked. He nodded slightly.

"If you want our help, why the hell didn't you just ask?" Dean asked.

"Because, whatever I ask, you seem to do the exact opposite." he said and I frowned, feeling guilty for Anna. But I still did the better thing, she didn't deserve to die because she wanted freedom.

"So, what now, huh? The people in this town, they just gonna start dying again?" Dean asked.

"Yes." Castiel said, monotonously.

"These are good people. What you think you can make a few exceptions?" Dean asked, I stayed silent. I didn't want to speak.

"To everything there is a season." he said.

"You made an exception for us." I said. He slowly turned and looked at me and Dean.

"You're different." he said before disappearing. I stared at the place he just was. Tessa appeared and I turned to Dean.

"I'm going to go back to Pamela, I'll leave you two alone," I said and quickly walked away. When I rounded a corner I stopped and looked around. "What the hell does 'You're different' mean?" I kept mumbling to myself before continuing to walk. When I got back to the place we were staying at, I started hearing whispering in my ear.

~

I sat up and gasped.

"God, it feels like I haven't breathed for years," I said, looking from Pamela, who looked in pain to Sam. "What the hell did you do?" I asked.

"Okay, moody." he said, throwing a beer to me, which I caught. I took a drink while Pamela whispered the same thing to Dean. Afterwards, she looked even more in pain. I noticed that she was holding her gut, then I noticed the dead guy on the floor. A demon did it.

"We just got to talk to Tessa, that's all. Get her to hold off reaping until we get you better." Sam said and I stood up, walking over to them.

"I'm pretty sure she's started up again." Pamela said and I looked down to her hand. Blood was pouring through her shirt.

"Beer?" I offered, making her laugh lightly. Dean gasped awake and I walked over to him, handing him the half drunk beer.

"What happened?" he asked, noticing Pamela's wound.

"Dean, where's Tessa?" Sam asked.

"She's..."

"Pamela, I'm so sorry." Sam said.

"Stop."

"You don't deserve this."

"Yeah, I don't. I told you I didn't want anything to do with this. Do me a favor. Tell that bastard Bobby Singer to go to hell for ever introducing me to you three in the first place." she said and I looked down, feeling guilty and horrible. She started coughing.

"Take it easy, Pamela. If it's any consolation, you're going to a better place." Dean tried to comfort and I almost slapped him.

"You're lying. But what the hell, right? Everybody's got to go sometime. Come here." she waved Sam toward her, I looked to Dean. She whispered something before coughing again. Once she was done we all got slightly more anxious. We called her name, but as we'd suspected, it was too late. Pamela was gone.

"What did she say to you?" Dean asked, pulling me from looking at Pamela onto looking at Sam. He didn't answer and I stood up.

"Where are you going?" I heard Sam.

"I need a drink--an actual drink." I said, saying the last part before they could say that we have beer there. I also lied, I mean, I needed a drink, but that wasn't why I was leaving.

So I was currently laying on a hill after walking a mile away from the motel, staring at the sky, thinking. I heard a flap of wings behind me and smiled to myself.

"I knew you'd come." I said.

"You prayed."

"I didn't pray, I asked you to come," I said, remembering about half an hour earlier when I screamed my lungs out at the sky. "Beer?" I offered, holding up a bottle that I happened to have.

"No. Why did you want to see me?" he asked. I heard him sit down next to me and I sat up and faced him.

"You said I was different," he slightly groaned. "No, no, don't groan. I just watched somebody I cared about die because of this dumb feud between you angels and your brother. I want some answers." I said and he remained straight faced.

"Okay. Three questions." he tried to reason.

"Five." I said.

"Two."

"That's not how reasoning goes." I said.

"One question, that's all." he said and I groaned.

"Okay," I thought for a moment. "Why did you pull me and Dean out of hell?" I asked.

"You're important." he answered.

"That's not a good enough answer." I said.

"You wouldn't like the answer." he said.

"I'd rather the answer than back in hell." I said. He glared at me and sighed.

"I can't tell you about Dean." he said.

"Okay, why'd you pull me out of hell?" I asked. He opened his mouth to say something before I heard a car. I looked behind me, into the headlights of a 1967 Chevy impala. I stood up and looked back to where Cass previously was, but he was gone.

"Where the hell have you been?" Dean yelled, slamming the car door. Sam got out, they both looked majorly pissed.

"Praying." I said sarcastically and passed them, getting in the backseat of the car.
