Chapter Four: Angel Dickwad

"Bad time?" I asked. They both stared at me.

"You're not supposed to be here." Castiel said.

"Well I am chuckles, why am I not supposed to be here?" I asked.

"This is Deans dream." He answered before everything went blank and I found myself waking up. I looked at Dean, who had also just woke up. What the hell just happened?

~

Screams. All I heard was the screams of people in pain, including myself. I was being ripped apart, torn to shreds in every way possible.

~

I woke up, Dean next to me, also awake.

"Hello Dean, Henrietta," I heard behind me, making me jump and Dean sit up. "And, what were you dreaming about?" he asked and I laid back down, looking to the ceiling before back to the angel.

"You get your freak on by watching other people sleep? What do you want?" Dean asked.

"Listen to me," he said, looking at Dean. "You have to stop it."

"Stop what?" He asked. Castiel reached over me and pressed two fingers to Deans forehead. He vanished and I looked back to Cass.

"Where the hell did he just go?" I asked.

"I must go." he said and vanished. I scoffed, rolling my eyes. I stood up and called Sam, getting no response. I then called Dean, getting the same answer. When I turned back to the bed, Castiel was standing there, looking at me before turning. Dean was laying on the bed and after a second, he gasped awake. He sat up on the bed.

"I couldn't stop any of it. She still made the deal. She still died in the nursery, didn't she?" Dean asked and after the third sentence, I recognized the 'she' as mom.

"Don't be too hard on yourself. You couldn't have stopped it." Cass said.

"What?" Dean asked, standing up.

"Destiny can't be changed, Dean," Cass said before turning to Dean, I took a step to the side and a step forward so I was slightly beside Cass. "All roads lead to the same destination."

"Then why'd you send me back?" Dean asked.

"For the truth. Now you know everything we do."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Dean asked. I stared at them both, confused. Cass looked to Sams bed and so did Dean and I. Dean pointed at the empty space. "Where's Sam?"

"We know what Azazel did to your brother. What we don't know is why, what his endgame is. He went to great lengths to cover that up." Cass said.

"Where's Sam?" Dean asked again, firmer this time.

"425 Waterman," he answered. Dean walked to the bag, getting ready. I slipped on my boots and grabbed a gun, putting it in my holster, under my red flannel. "Your brother is headed down a dangerous road. And we're not sure where it leads," I looked up to Cass as I walked over to Dean. "So stop it. Or we will."

~

We found out that Sam had been secretly exorcizing demons... with his mind. Ruby had been training him. I found out that mom was a hunter and Sam drank demon blood as a baby. Dean and him had an argument and we got a call. We faced a creature called a rougarou, which ate human flesh and had Travis for dinner. After giving him a proper hunter funeral, we got another call to action, this time it was a shifter that loved monster movies. After that Dean caught a ghost fever, jumping at anything and making me laugh and Sam bitch-face all the time.

We were currently on a case about a witch. We'd found hex bags in the room of every victim. We believed the witch was trying to raise Samhain. We'd just gotten back to the motel after a talk with the drama teacher and a very rude run-in with an astronaut. When Sam walked in the door he took out his gun.

"Who are you?!" he yelled.

"Sam, wait!" I yelled, running into the room. Somehow and for some unexplainable reason, I felt like whatever presence was there... Was familiar. And I was right. There stood Castiel... Granted he was with some other guy I had never seen before. "That's Castiel."

"The angel," Dean said, lowering Sams gun. "Him, I don't know." Dean said while Castiel walked toward us. I stared at him while he spoke to Sam.

"Hello, Sam." Cass said.

"Oh, my God. Er, uh, I didn't mean to- sorry. It's an honor. Really, I-I've heard a lot about you." Sam said, taking a step closer and holding out his hand like the religious fanboy he was. Castiel stared at his hand in an almost confusion, not taking Sams hand for a long moment.

"And I, you. Sam Winchester, the boy with the demon blood. Glad to hear you've ceased your extracurricular activities."

"Let's keep it that way." A deep voice came. I looked up to see the new guy, still standing in the corner like a weirdo, staring out the windows that had curtains that were down.

"Yeah, okay, chuckles. Who's your friend?"

"This raising of Samhain, have you stopped it?" Castiel said, ignoring the question.

"Why?" I asked.

"Henrietta, have you located the witch?" he turned to me.

"Yes, we've located the witch." I said, slightly confused.

"And, is the witch dead?" he asked. I gulped.

"No but-" Sam started.

"We're working on it, okay?" I cut him off.

"We know who it is." Dean finished.

"Apparently, the witch knows who you are, too," he said, walking to the side of the bed. He picked up a hex bag. "This was inside the wall of your room," he held it up. "If we hadn't found it, surly one or all three of you would be dead. Do you know where the witch is now?" he asked and Dean turned to me and Sam.

"Like Henry said, we're working on it." Dean answered.

"That's unfortunate."

"What do you care?" Dean asked. Cass looked to the guy in the corner before back to us.

"The raising of Samhain is one of the sixty six seals." he answered.

"So this is about your buddy Lucifer." Dean said.

"Lucifer is no friend of ours." The deep voiced guy from corner town spoke up.

"It's just an expression." Dean said.

"Lucifer cannot rise. The breaking of the seal must be prevented at all costs." Castiel said.

"Okay. Great. Well, now that you're here, why don't you tell us where the witch is? We'll gank her, and everybody goes home." Dean said and I looked between the two.

"We are not omniscient. This witch is very powerful. She's cloaked, even to our methods."

"Okay, we already know who she is," Sam cut in.

"If we work together-" I continued.

"Enough of this." I got cut off by weirdo dude.

"Okay, who are you, and why should I care?" Dean yelled.

"This is Uriel. He's what you might call... A specialist." Cass said as the guy, Uriel, started walking toward us.

"What kind of a specialist?" Dean asked. There was a long silence.

"What are you going to do?" I asked.

"You, all three of you, you need to leave this town immediately." Cass said.

"Why?" Dean asked. Oh, I had a pretty good idea why.

"Because we're about to destroy it."

"So this is your plan? Your gonna smite the whole friggen town?" Dean asked.

"We're out of time. This witch has to die. The seal must be saved."

"There are a thousand people here." Sam said.

"One thousand, two hundred, fourteen." Uriel corrected.

"And you're willing to kill them all?" Sam asked.

"This isn't the first time I've... purified a city." Uriel said, causing me to look at him in disgust. He was my least favorite so far.

"Look, I understand this is regrettable." Cass said, turning to us.

"Regrettable?" Dean asked in an almost sarcastic way.

"We have to hold the line. Too many seals have broken already."

"So you screwed the pooch on some seals, and now this town has to pay the price?" Dean asked.

"It's the lives of one thousand against the lives of six billion. There's a bigger picture here."

"Right. Cause, uh. You're bigger picture kind of guys." Dean mocked.

"Lucifer cannot rise. He does, and hell rises with him. Is that something that you're willing to risk?" Castiel asked. I took a small step forward and he glanced to me as if warning me to stay there.

"I won't let you do that." I said.

"We'll stop this witch before she summons anyone. Your seal won't be broken, and no one has to die." Sam backed me up.

"We're wasting time with these mud monkeys." Uriel cut his bald head in.

"Who asked you." I said under my breath. Castiel turned to Uriel.

"I'm sorry. But we have our orders." He said, turning away.

"No, you can't do this. You- you're angels. I mean aren't you supposed to- you're supposed to show mercy." Sam said.

"Says who?" Uriel asked. I stared at him, disbelief and anger written all over my face.

"We have no choice." Cass said.

"Of course you have a choice. I mean, come on, what, you've never- never questioned a crap order, huh? What are you both just a couple of hammers?" Dean asked.

"Look, Even if you can't understand it, have faith, the plan is just."

"How could you even say that?" Sam asked.

"Because it comes from heaven. That makes it just." Castiel turned toward us more.

"It must be nice to be so sure of yourselves." Dean said.

"Tell me something, Dean. When your father gave you an order, didn't you obey?" anger boiled up inside me.

"Don't even talk about him." I said through gritted teeth. Sam held me back as I swear, whenever anybody brought up dad, I wanted to punch them.

"Sorry, boys, it looks like the plans have changed." Dean said, they all ignored me.

"You think you can stop us?" Uriel cut in, I turned my attention to the bald angel.

"No," Dean said. "But if you're going to smite this whole town, then you're gonna have to smite us with it because we are not leaving," he walked toward Uriel. "You went through the trouble of busting me and Henry out of hell. I figure we're worth something to the man upstairs. You want to waste us? Go ahead. See how he digs that."

"I will drag you both out of here myself."

"Yeah, but you'll have to kill us. And then we're back to the same problem. I mean, come on. You're going to wipe out a whole town for one little witch? Sounds to me like you're compensating for something," there was a long pause before Dean turned back to us. "We can do this," he walked toward us, turning to Cass. "We will find that witch. We will stop the summoning."

"Castiel, I will not let these-"

"Enough," Castiel cut off Uriel, raising a hand like it would silence him. "I suggest you move quickly." he said. I let out a sigh and they were gone.

After we got into Deans, now egged car, we found out that it was the drama teacher doing it. We got to the house he was at just in time to kill him, but then we found out the Tracey was also a witch. Sam put blood on our faces and Samhain was released. Sam used his mumbo jumbo and exorcised him. I was currently sat at a park with Dean, Sam was getting ready to leave back at the motel as far as I knew.

"Do you ever wish you had this?" I asked, referring to the multiple kids playing on the playground.

"This? Sometimes." he answered.

"You know, Dean. I know you remember more about hell than you say. I mean, I have nightmares of it." I said, looking at him before back to the playground. He stayed silent. After a moment, there was a slight whooshing sound beside us. I turned my head to see Cass sitting there.

"Let me guess," Dean said. "You're here for the 'I told you so.'"

"No."

"Well, good, cause I'm really not that interested." Dean said.

"I am not here to judge you, Dean. Either of you."

"Then why are you here?"

"Our orders-"

"Yeah, you know, I've had enough of these orders of yours" Dean cut him off.

"Our orders," he started again. "Were not to stop the summoning of Samhain. They were to do whatever you told us to do."

"Your orders were to follow my orders?" Dean asked.

"Yours and Henrietta's," he said. "It was a test... to see how you would perform under... battlefield conditions, you might say."

"It was a witch... Not the Tet offensive." Cass chuckled.

"Oh, he laughs." I said under my breath so only Dean could hear me.

"I can hear you." Cass said.

"So, we, uh, failed your test, huh? I get it. But you know what? If you were to wave that- that magic time-traveling wand of yours and we had to do it all over again, I'd make the same call," he said. I looked at Cass, who was staring at Dean like he was in deep thought. "Cause, see, I don't know what's gonna happen when the seals are broken. Hell I don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow. But what I do know is is that this here. These kids, the swings, the trees, all of it is still here because of my brother, sister, and me." Dean said. I smiled at his speech and stared out in the crowd of children.

"You misunderstand me, Dean. I'm not like you think. I was praying that you would choose to save the town."

"Wait, you were?" I asked.

"These people, they're all my fathers creations. They're works of art. And yet even though you stopped Samhain the seal was broken, and we are one step closer to hell on Earth for all creation. And that's not an expression, it's literal," Cass looked at us, eyes flickering from me to Dean. "You of all people should... appreciate what that means," he said before there was a long pause and memories from hell came rushing back to me. Cass looked away from us as he continued speaking. "I'll tell you something if you promise not to tell another soul."

"Okay." me and Dean said in unison.

"I'm not, uh... a hammer, as you say," he said. I scooted closer to him and Dean as if that would help me understand. "I have questions. I... I have doubts. I don't know what is right and what is wrong anymore... and whether you passed or failed here. But in the coming months you will have more decisions to make. I don't envy the weight that's on your shoulders. I truly don't."

I looked down, my feet now suddenly becoming much more entertaining. There was a slight whooshing sound and when I looked back up, Cass was gone. The next thing I knew, Dean was putting his arm around me. He was being affectionate, something he hasn't been in, hell, in years.

~

A/N So, eventually I'll write a freaking huge chapter, but as you can see, anything without Cass or talking about Cass, or anything that isn't exactly needed for this story line, I'm leaving out. ALSO to people who spell Cass with one s and think I'm spelling it wrong, I most likely am not because on my Netflix its spelled Cass and on this it says Cas isn't even a word.

(Updated Edit: I get that Cass is canon while Cas is what the fandom calls it but for the sake of I've been spelling it Cass for literal years and I dont feel like changing every single Cass to Cas in this book please just bear with me. I swear the storyline I'm creating with this book and the (hopefully multiple) sequel(s) WILL be worth dealing with one word being spelled differently :P)

QOTD: What did you think of Uriel the first time seeing him?

I already hated him.

Thank you for reading.

Hope you liked it.

Goodbye for now my lovelies!
