Chapter Fifteen: Stoner Angel and a Strange Future

"We're talking about the colt, right? I mean, as in, the colt?" Dean asked, on the phone.

"Put him on speaker," I whined. He'd refused to the first fifty times. He rolled his eyes and finally put the phone on speaker so that I could hear Cass too.

"We are," Cass said.

"Hi Cass!" I called, smiling.

"Hello Rhett," he said, a different sort of tone to his voice that I couldn't tell if bad or good.

"Well, that doesn't make any sense," Dean cut our little conversation shorter, talking about the colt once again, "I mean, why would the demons keep a gun around that, uh, kills demons?" Dean asked.

"What?" Cass shouted, I could faintly hear a train in the background, "What? Did- I didn't- I didn't get that," he quieted down and Dean chuckled, looking around the motel we were staying at.

"You know, it's kind of funny, talking to a messenger of God on a cellphone. You know, like watching Hell's angel ride a moped," Dean said and I rolled my eyes.

"Lame, dude," I said and he shot me a glare.

"This isn't funny, Dean. The voice says I'm almost out of minutes," Cass said and I snorted at how serious he was.

"Okay, alright. I'm-i'm telling you, Cass, the mooks have melted down the gun by now," Dean said. I crossed my legs, sitting on the bed, now crisscrossed.

"Well, I hear differently. And if it's true and if you are still set on the insane task of killing the devil, this is how we do it," Cass said as Dean walked to the other side of the bed and sat down.

"Okay. Where do we start?" Dean asked.

"Where are you now?"

"Kansas city," Dean turned and pointed at the room key. I grabbed it and read it out loud.

"Century Hotel, room 113," I said, loud enough for the phone to pick it up.

"I'll be there immediately," Cass said and I smiled, looking forward to seeing him again, even though it hadn't been long since the last time we were together.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. No, no, come on, man. We just drove like sixteen hours straight, okay? I'm human. And there's stuff we gotta do," Dean said and although I was slightly upset, I was also a bit tired.

"What stuff?" Cass asked defensively.

"Eat, for example. In this case, sleep. I just need like four hours once in a while, okay?" Dean explained and I laid down. I loved sleeping, but as I was now less human, I didn't need it as much, but I wouldn't lie, I was definitely tired.

"Yes."

"Okay, so, you can pop in tomorrow morning," Dean said.

"Yes," Cass answered and I saw Dean begin to hang up. I snatched the phone from him and said a quick few words that something was telling me to say.

"I lo-" I started before Dean snatched the phone back and closed it, hanging up with Cass before I could finish.

~

I don't recall what happened, except one moment, I was falling asleep next to Dean, and the next, he was gently shaking me awake to find that we were in a different setting. It looked like the same motel, just broken down. I slowly sat up and looked around. The walls were molded and rotten, a black color. Dean and I walked to the window, looking out in shock.

The entire city looked like it had been burned down and destroyed. It was like the apocalypse took place over night, I felt fear and confusion, and just wanted out.

"What the hell?" I whispered to myself.

Dean pulled away from the window and gripped my wrist, pulling me to the door with him. We made our way downstairs and outside, continuing to look around as if this was all fake. There were old broken down cars and random tires laying around. We walked around until coming to a corner, where there was graffiti everywhere and a little girl sitting on the ground by a stuffed bear.

"Little girl?" Dean called.

"Sweetie, you okay?" I asked, trying to walk to her, but Dean pulled me back behind him.

"Behind me," He whispered to me and walked forward. I rolled my eyes but followed behind him.

"Are you hurt?" he asked, leaning down, "You know the not talking thing is kind of creepy, right?"

As soon as he finished his sentence, blood dropped from the girls mouth. I grabbed Deans collar and pulled him up as she grabbed a knife and began swinging at us. We dodged until Dean punched her and knocked her out. I think she had gotten Dean a bit as he grunted and put his hand on his lower stomach. I turned around, looking for somewhere else to go. I tapped Deans shoulder and he looked to where I was staring.

"Oh, crap," he muttered. Right there, on a wall was huge lettering spelling 'croatoan'. A group of people walked out from behind a corner. I began backing up and pulled Dean a bit. He turned, grabbing my arm and pulled me with him as we ran. We knocked over trash cans and used things for support, I almost tripped a few times. Then we came to a dead end. We turned around and I held on to Dean. Right when we thought it was over for us, we heard gunshots and all of the basically zombified people were dead or dying. I began to hear the words and music to "Do you love me" by the Contours. Although, I couldn't focus on that as Dean and I were trying not to be shot, on our hands and knees crawling until we got to an alleyway and ran. Dean immediately sat down, still holding his lower stomach near the side.

~

After figuring out that we were in 2014 somehow, and a creepy run in with Zachariah in a hot wired car, we found ourselves at Bobby's.

"Bobby?" Both Dean and I called.

"Bobby, we're coming in!" Dean shouted in case he couldn't hear us. We walked around the house and I stopped dead in my tracks, seeing Bobby's old wheelchair laying sideways, bullet holes and dried blood dripping down it. Dean walked to it and picked it up and I felt tears prick my eyes, but I shook my head. This is probably just what Zachariah wants us to see. Dean knelt by the wheelchair and looked around, "Where is everybody, Bobby?"

Next we went to his fireplace and took out a secret block, which had dad's journal in it. I stood behind Dean as he flipped through it. He stopped when he came across a photograph. There were five people, but I only recognized two, Bobby and Cass, Cass was wearing hunting clothes too. To the right side of them was a sign that said "Welcome to Camp Chitaqua"

~

Dean and I spent most of that day finding the camp and sneaking in. The impala was broken down, which I think broke Deans heart. When we got in, Dean looked inside his beloved car as I looked around. A hand wrapped itself around my face with a cloth and the last thing I saw was someone knocking Dean out before everything went black.

~

I woke up, leaning against Dean, one of my hands handcuffed to a metal ladder looking thing. Dean was already awake and staring at something so I turned my attention to where he was looking, there stood... Dean?

"What the hell?" Dean- my Dean said.

"I should be asking that question, don't you think?" Dean #2 asked, loading a gun, "In fact, why don't you give me one good reason why I shouldn't gank you both right here and now?" he asked, pointing his gun at us.

"Because you'd only be hurting yourself," Dean defended himself.

"And I'm your sister," I smiled, trying to hide my nerves.

"Very funny," Dean 2 said, pulling the gun away.

"Look man, we're no shapeshifter or demon or anything, okay?" Dean said.

"Yeah, I know. I did the drill while you two were out. Silver, salt, holy water--well, with the exception of Henry-- nothing. But you know what was funny, was that you had every hidden lock pick, box cutter, and switchblade that I and my sister carry. Now, you want to explain that? Oh, and the, uh... Resemblance, while you're at it?"

"Zachariah," Dean and I said in unison. Dean numero dos stood up.

"Come again?" he asked.

"I'm you, and this is Henry, from the tail end of 2009," Dean explained, "Zach plucked us from our bed and threw us five years into the future."

"Where is he? I want to talk to him," Dean 2 asked.

"We don't know," Dean said casually and I shrugged.

"Oh, you don't know."

"No, we don't," I said defensively.

"Look, we just want to get back to our own friggin year, okay?" Dean said and Mr.Lookalike nodded a bit. He wiped his face and knelt down by us.

"Okay. If you're me," he pointed at Dean, "Then tell me something only I would know," I smirked and looked at Dean, who scoffed and looked at me. He thought for a moment before looking back at copycat.

"Rhonda Hurley. We were, uh... 19. She made us try on her panties. They were pink. And satiny. And you know what?" Dean asked, pointing his finger back and forth between the two of them, "We kind of liked it."

"Touché," Future Dean said after thinking for a moment.

"Okay, well now I know that and I'm going to have nightmares about it," I grimaced and pretended to throw up. Future Dean glanced at me for a second and then stood up, seeming to try and ignore my entire presence.

"So, what? Zach zapped you two up here to see how bad it gets?" he asked, picking up his gun again.

"I guess," Dean said as Dean2 loaded and cocked a pistol, "Croatoan virus, right? That's their endgame?"

"It's efficient, it's incurable, and it's scary as hell. Turns people into monsters. Started hitting the major cities about two years ago. World really went in the crapper after that," Dean2 explained while putting guns in a bag.

"What about Sam?" I asked. Future Dean stopped, now looking uncomfortable. Whether it was because I talked or because I brought up Sam, I couldn't tell, maybe both. After a moment of silence he spoke.

"Heavyweight showdown in Detroit. From what I understand, Sam didn't make it."

"You weren't with him?" Dean asked.

"No. No, me and Sam, we hadn't talked in... hell, five years," Dean2 explained. I looked at my Dean, who looked uneasy.

"We never tried to find him?"

"I got other people to worry about," Dean2 said, picking up the bag and beginning to walk away.

"Where you going?" Dean asked.

"I got to run an errand," Future Dean answered.

"Whoa, you just gonna leave us here?"

"Yes. I got a camp full of twitchy trauma survivors out there with an apocalypse hanging over their heads. The last thing they need to see is a version of "The Parent Trap." So, yeah, you two stay locked down."

"Okay. All right. Fine. But you don't have to cuff us, man," Dean said and I looked back to the handcuffs, "Oh, come on, you don't trust yourself? Your sister?"

"No. Absolutely not," Future Dean said, and with that, he left.

"What'd I do?" I muttered, sighing.

"Dick," Dean said, and I giggled as he was talking about himself.

After a few minutes, Dean had the brilliant idea to pull a nail out of the floorboards and I would've helped him, but I had just gotten a manicure. Just kidding, I was too far away from the nail. When he finally got the nail out, he picked the lock on both of our cuffs and we were free to explore this newfound world, (Although, I was quite hungry). We walked outside and I had gone to walk around the house before hearing a familiar voice.

"Hey Dean, you got a second," I heard Chuck and I peeked back from behind the house.

"No. Yes. Uh... I-I guess," Dean stuttered, looking for me before back to Chuck, "Hi, Chuck."

"Hi. So, uh, listen, we're pretty good on canned goods for now, but we're down to next to nothing on perishables and-and hygiene supplies. People are not gonna be happy about this. So, what do you think we should do?" Chuck asked.

"I-I don't know. Maybe, uh, share? You know, like at a kibbutz," Dean answered and I mentally face palmed myself.

"Wait a minute. Aren't you supposed to be out on a mission right now?" Chuck asked suspiciously.

"Absolutely, and I will be-"

"Uh oh," Chuck said as a girl walked up to Dean and tried to punch him. I began to run out to help but stopped myself, not knowing where this world's version of me was and not wanting to freak anyone out.

"Easy lady!" Dean shouted, shoving Chuck in front of him like a shield.

"Risa," Chuck said.

"Risa!"

"You spent the night in Jane's cabin last night, didn't you?" Risa asked. I smirked a bit.

"Uh, what? I-I don't- Did I?" Dean asked and Chuck nodded. I stifled a giggle.

"I thought we had a "connection"." Risa said, using finger quotations.

"Well, I'm sure that we do," Dean flirted.

"Yeah?" Risa asked, walking around Chuck.

"Hi Risa," Chuck said nervously.

"Screw you," Risa said and walked away.

"Oh geez, I'm getting busted for things I haven't even done yet," I heard Dean say and I sighed.

"What?" Chuck asked.

"Uh, nevermind. Hey, Chuck, is Henry still here?" Dean asked, Chuck just shook his head slowly.

"No... She's been gone for about four years now, Dean," he said and Dean nodded.

"What about Cass?" Dean asked. Chuck chuckled a bit.

"Yeah. I don't think Cass is going anywhere," Chuck said. Dean looked at me and I nodded, walking around the other side of the cabin so we could meet up. I stuck to the shadows until we got to Cass' cabin.

"I'll stay out here, you go in," I whispered to Dean.

"What, why?" he asked.

"Because I've been gone for four years, what if he... Hates me or something," I mumbled and Dean rolled his eyes but nodded. There was a curtain to his cabin instead of a door and I heard some music that would really go well with Tibetan throat singing. Oh no, Cass is a hippie. I heard him speaking.

"So, in this way, we're each a fragment of total perception. Just- uh, one compartment in that dragonfly eye of group mind. Now, the key to this total, shared perception is, um... It's surprisingly physical," he said as Dean walked in, "Oh. Excuse me, ladies. I think I need to confer with our fearless leader for a minute. Why not go get washed up for the orgy?" I heard Cass say and a physical pain hit me so hard I almost fell to my knees in pain. So this is the unfaithful pain thing... I don't like it, "You're all so beautiful," Cass said, causing another pain, just not so bad. The women walked by me, and I glared at every one of them.

"What, are you a hippie?" Dean asked as I heard Cass cracking something.

"I thought you'd gotten over trying to label me," Cass said, and I heard a sigh.

"Cass, we gotta talk-"

"Whoa. Strange," Cass said.

"What?" Dean asked.

"You... Are not you- not "now" you anyway," Cass said.

"No! Yeah. Yes, exactly," Dean said. I began to poke my head in the doorway, just to see if I could see him.

"What year are you from?" Cass asked. It was hard to see him due to a big brother of mine standing in the way.

"2009," Dean answered and Cass sighed.

"Who did this to you? Is it Zachariah?"

"Yes," Dean answered and Cass sighed again.

"Interesting," Cass said.

"Oh, yeah, it's friggin fascinating. Now," Dean clapped, "Why don't you strap on your angel wings and fly us back to our page on the calendar," Dean said and I somewhat saw Cass turn around, laughing a bit.

"I wish I could just, uh, strap on my wings, but I'm sorry- no dice," Cass chuckled.

"What, are you stoned?" Dean asked.

"Uh... Generally, yeah," he said, finally looking back at Dean.

"What happened to you?" Dean asked.

"Life," Cass said. Dean looked back to the door and to me. Cass looked confused as I sighed and walked through.

"So, orgies, huh?" I asked and Cass stared at me. His eyes weren't wide, and he didn't look angry, it was like he had no emotion and every emotion all at once. After a moment, he walked forward, to which I backed up a bit.

"Rhett," he mumbled and I nodded.

"Cass," I said. He chuckled a bit and turned around.

"Of course you'd be here too. Where there's one Winchester, there always has to be another nearby, right?" he asked no one in particular.

"He okay?" I asked Dean who just shrugged, "By the way, you might not have your wings anymore, but what you said still hurt me, dick," I said and he stopped laughing. Before he had a moment to reply, we heard trucks outside and walked out to see what was going on, Dean, then me, then Cass.

It turns out, Dean2 was back from his mission and decided to kill a teammate, even though me and Dean tried to warn him. We got a "pep talk" (aka Mr. Pissy Pants yelled at us) and found out that the mission future Dean was on was to find the colt.

~

"So, that's it? That's the colt?" Risa asked, acting like it was the smallest thing ever. It was a pretty small gun. We had all gathered for a team meeting. Dean, Dean2, Cass, Risa and I.

"If anything can kill Lucifer, this is it," Dean2 said, smiling a tiny bit. Me and Dean were sitting in the back and in stead of seriously paying attention, I had been staring at Cass. He was so... Different. He even had a beard now. It looked good, not gonna lie, but different.

"Great. Have we got anything that can find Lucifer?" Risa asked aggressively.

"Are you okay?" Dean2 asked.

"Oh, we were in, uh, Jane's cabin last night, and, apparently, we and... Risa have a connection," Dean cleared up. I saw Cass smile as Dean2 gave a bitch face.

"You wanna shut up?" Dean2 asked and Dean held up his hands in defense, "We don't have to find Lucifer, we know where he is. The demon that we caught last week, he was one of the... big guy's entourage. He knew," Dean said and I rolled my eyes at how dumb he sounded.

"So, a demon tells you where Satan's gonna be, and you just believe it?" Risa asked and I nodded, motioning my hands to her as if I was telling them she had a point.

"Oh, trust me. He wasn't lying."

"And you know this, how?" I asked, standing up and walked behind Cass, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Our fearless leader, I'm afraid, is all too well schooled in the art of getting to the truth," Cass said and looked at my hand.

"Torture?" Dean asked and stood up, "Oh, so, we're-we're torturing again? No that's- that's good. Classy," Dean said and Cass chuckled. I pinched his shoulder, feeling it on mine as well to try and get him to stop as Dean2 gave him a bitch face.

"What? I like "Past you"." Cass said and shrugged off my hand. I smiled a bit as future Dean layed down a map.

"Lucifer is here. Now, I know the block and I know the building," Dean2 said, pointing at a place on the map.

"Oh, good, it's right in the middle of a hot zone," Cass said judgmentfully and my smile grew some.

"Crawling with crotes, yeah. You saying my plan is reckless?" Dean2 asked and I nodded slightly.

"Are you saying we, uh, walk in straight up the driveway, past all the demons and crotes and we shoot the devil?" Cass asked, full of sass.

"Yes."

"Okay, if you don't like, uh, "reckless" I could use "Insouciant" maybe," Cass said and I snorted. Dean2 glared at me before looking back at Cass.

"Are you coming?" he asked. Cass took a deep breath.

"Of course," he said and looked at me and Dean, "but why are they? I mean, he's you and she's your sister five years ago. If something happens to him, you're gone and if something happens to her-"

"They're coming," Dean2 said, cutting Cass off before he could finish as what I could only think was some kind of sadness was replaced on his face with anger and/or annoyance.

"Okay. Well, uh... I'll get the grunts moving," Cass said, standing up.

"Can I come with?" I asked and he smiled as an answer.

"We're loaded and on the move by midnight," Dean2 said.

"All righty," Cass said as we walked outside. Risa split up from us relatively quick and it was just me and Cass, telling people to get up or get ready.

"Cass?" I asked and he stopped walking, turning to me, "They said I've been gone for four years, what happened to me?" I asked and he stared at me for a moment before chuckling a bit, but it wasn't the usual chuckling, it was more strained, like when we were talking about his wings.

"God, I've missed you and your curiosity," he said, turning around and continuing to walk without answering my question. I sighed and followed him.

"But, where did I go?" I asked. Sam was supposedly dead and I wanted to know if we died together or if a croatoan got me, or whatever happened.

"Why do you want to know?" he asked, not looking at me.

"Because I'm curious," I smiled a bit. He chuckled again.

"It's a long story. I'll tell you on the way there, okay muffin?" he asked before stopping in his tracks, as did I.

"Muffin?" I asked confused. After a moment of staring at nothing he turned back to me, looking anywhere but my eyes.

"You must not have gotten there yet," he said, smiling, "You have gotten past the hospital though, right?" he asked and I remembered in the hospital when he kissed me. I felt heat rush to my cheeks and I nodded. He smiled and walked up to me, pressing his lips to mine. I smiled a bit and leaned into the kiss, wrapping my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist like a natural. After a moment we backed apart and I grinned at him, "It's, uh, almost midnight. We should get the rest of the grunts," he said but smirked. I nodded and began walking, "This way," he said as I was apparently going the wrong direction, to which I turned on my heel, walking the opposite direction.

~

"I'm singing in the rain," I mumbled.

"We're in a car, Henry," Dean said. I was currently in the back of a truck laying down while Cass drove and Dean sat shotgun.

"I'm singing in the car," I corrected. I heard rattling and sat up, seeing Cass take some pills, "Give me those," I said, somehow protectively as my eyebrows furrowed.

"You want some?" He asked as he handed me the bottle. I read what was on the bottle.

"What are amphetamines?" I asked in confusion.

"It's the perfect antidote to that absinthe," he said and sniffed before looking back at me and smiling. I faked a small smile and dropped the pill bottle on the seat next to me, disgusted by them.

"Don't get me wrong, Cass. I, uh... I'm happy that the stick is out of your ass, but... What's going on-w-with the drugs and the orgies and the love-guru crap?" Dean asked and Cass began laughing.

"What's so funny?" Me and Dean asked at the same time.

"Guys, I'm not an angel anymore," Cass said, shaking his head at us.

"What?" Dean asked. I wasn't too shocked, it wasn't hard to tell, but things still hurt me, emotionally and physically, for whatever reason.

"Yeah, I went mortal."

"What do you mean? How?" Dean asked.

"I think it had something to do with the other angels leaving, but when they bailed, my mojo just kind of..." he made a strange noise, somewhat like a whistle, "drained away. And now, you know, I'm practically human. I mean, guys, I'm all but useless. Last year, broke my foot- laid up for two months," Cass explained and my eyes went wide.

"Wow," me and Dean said in unison.

"Yeah."

"So, you're human," I muttered.

"Well, welcome to the club," Dean said and I raised my hand.

"I think I'm leaving that club."

"I used to belong to a much better club- the one that Rhett's now going to. And now, I'm powerless... I'm hapless, I'm hopeless. I mean, why the hell not bury myself in women and decadence, right," as he said this, a pain struck me and I fell back down, curling into a ball as Dean looked at me, "It's the end, baby. That's what decadence is for. Why not bang a few gongs before the lights go out? But then, that's just how I roll."

Tears slid down my cheeks at the excruciating pain. The physical pain was bad, but the emotional pain hurt so much worse.

"Stop," I cried out and Dean looked at me, Cass checking back, "Stop talking about women and orgies," I mumbled, opening my eyes and looked Cass in the eyes, "What happened to me, Cass?" He looked back to the road.

"You wanted to be there for Sam. You betrayed De-uh--us. You betrayed me. You went to find Sam, but by the time you did, it was too late. He was gone and..." he paused for a moment, "You're dead," he mumbled and shock took over my body.

"I ... I'm dead," I whispered.

~

When we finally got there, I wasn't in the mood for anything. I still held my gun, I was ready for action. I just refused to talk to anyone, not Dean nor Cass.

We staked out the building Lucifer was in and I rolled my eyes. It's totally a trap.

"There, second floor window. We go in there," Future Dean said.

"You sure about this?" Risa asked.

"They'll never see us coming. Trust me," he said and I looked at my Dean, "Now, weapons check. We're on the move in five."

"Hey, uh, me," Dean said, "Can we talk to you for a sec?" He asked and I looked at him with an eyebrow raised. He nodded as if saying me too. The three of us walked farther away from the group, "Tell me what's going on."

"What?" Dean2 asked.

"I know you. You're lying to these people, and to us," Dean said and I nodded.

"Is that so?"

"Yeah. See, I know your lying expressions. I've seen them in the mirror. Now, there's something you're not telling us."

"I don't know what you're talking about," it took all my willpower to keep me from slapping him.

"Oh really? Well, we don't seem to be the only members of your posse with some questions, so uh, maybe we'll just take our doubts over to them," Dean said and grabbed my arm, beginning to walk back to the rest of the group.

"Okay, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait," Dean2 stopped us.

"What?"

"Take a look around you, man. This place should be white-hot with crotes. Where are they?"

"They cleared a path for us. Which means that this is-"

"A trap, exactly," Dean2 interrupted Dean.

"Well, then we can't go through the front."

"Oh, we're not. They are. They're the decoys. You two and me, we're going in through the back," what he said terrified and disgusted me. My Dean would never do that.

"You mean, you're gonna feed your friends into a meat grinder? Cass too? You want to use their deaths as a diversion?" Dean asked and Dean2 didn't answer, just looked down, "Oh, man, something is broken in you. You're making decisions that I would never make. I wouldn't sacrifice my friends."

"You're right. You wouldn't. It's one of the main reasons we're in this mess, actually," Dean2 said harshly.

"These people count on you. They trust you-"

"They trust me to kill the devil and to save the world, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do."

"No. Not like this, you're not. We're not gonna let you," Dean said and I nodded, crossing my arms.

"Oh, really?" Dean2 asked.

"Yeah," Right as Dean finished, he was punched in the face. Anger boiled up in me as I kicked Dean2s shin and began to quickly walk back to the group. I knelt by Cass and kissed him.

"Please don't listen to his plan," I whispered and stood up, "I lo-" I started before everything went black.

~

I found myself waking up in extreme agony and pain, much worse than the one in the truck. It felt like the skin was being pried from my body, and my bones were being crushed and grinded up. I felt like I was on fire in ice and like something was squishing me like a bug. it was almost worse than hell. I let out a scream as I realized what was happening. Dean ran over to me and I pushed him away.

"He's dead," I hastily spat, "Go, Dean."

"Not without you," he tried to help me up when another sharp pain shot through my body and I let out another shrill scream.

"Go!" I screeched, arching my back in pain as I gripped at the grass beneath me. He looked concerned, and hugged me.

"I'll be back to get you soon," and with that he was gone as I twisted and turned in pain on the ground. I watched as a figure made its way towards me. Great. A crote here to end me, 5 years in the future.

"It hurts, doesn't it?" A female said. My vision was blurry but I could vaguely make out the form. It looked like... me?

"What?" I groaned in pain.

"You know... It hurts feeling like you're dying. Trust me, I've felt it. The unfaithful pains," I-she-this person in front of me, leaned down to me, "When the angel doesn't love you anymore."

"No-no. You're dead. He thinks we are dead-"

"No, Rhett. Is that what he told you? I guess it just hurt--I bet it was unbearable for him..." she lifted her sleeve to show the handprint, but the harder I looked the more I could see. The heart was gone, "Knowing he didn't have a soul mate anymore."

"What?" I asked in a huff, pain from Cass' death decreasing to the point where I could sit up.

"I'm going to tell you a story about a good for nothing angel who only ever cared about himself, and a girl who only wanted to be loved--or maybe you've heard that one. But you haven't heard the end," she grinned sickeningly at me, and I shook my head.

"No," I breathed out, trying to pull myself back, but she stood straight. By now, I knew it was definitely me, but very different. She wore tight leather clothes that clung to her body--my body, and black stilettos, with hair that was much longer than mine was currently. She stopped me from running by digging the heel of her stiletto into my ankle as I let out a groan of pain.

"It ends by her asking him to follow her into the dark and then him abandoning her last second. It ends with demons getting to her before he can and it ends with my death. But there's a twist to the story, pet," she leaned down once more, her heel still dug into my ankle as she traced the underside of my chin with her index finger, "Lucifer saves us. He reigns supreme, and he fixes our little angel problem. And he will finish this--all of it. And we will be his Queen."

"Enough!" I screamed, headbutting her as she stumbled back and I got up, limping on my now very hurt ankle, "I'm done listening to you. Kill me, if that's what you want."

"Kill you? I am you, Rhett. And whether you want to believe it or not, one day," she paused as her eyes flickered all white, "you will be this, and you will be his," in the blink of an eye, she was gone. My eyes went wide before I looked back in the direction Dean had gone, limping my way towards it.

I found Dean, a dead future Dean, and Sam in a very classy white suit. My Dean and classy Sam were talking, and it didn't take long for me to realize "Sam" wasn't really Sam.

"Why? Why would I want to destroy this stunning thing... Beautiful in a trillion different ways. The last perfect handiwork of God?" There was a silence Dean looked straight at me for a split second before back to Lucifer Sam, "Hello Rhett," Lucifer spoke without giving me a second glance, "I see you met my darling back there," with a swipe of his hand, I was standing next to Dean and dark me was standing next to Lucifer.

"Henry?" Dean asked the dark version of me.

"Hey bro," she said, sucking on a pink lollipop in her mouth, "Gave up smoking. Thinking of taking up new hobbies, like killing the angel."

"Already done," Lucifer said and Dark-me froze, looking at him.

"What?" He nodded, "but I wanted to do that, Luci. You told me I could kill him!" She pouted like a whiny five year old and he finally looked at her, an almost bored look before obviously faking a smile.

"Then I'll bring him back and you can smite him as many times as you want, my love," he pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I think I'm gonna puke," Dean said from beside me and I couldn't agree more. Dark Rhett looked over with a glare before vanishing. Lucifer sighed and turned to us.

"Where was I? Oh, yes. You ever hear the story of how I fell from grace?"

"Oh, good God. You're not gonna tell us a bedtime story are you? My stomachs already almost out of bile after that little show," Dean said and I smiled a bit beside him.

"You know why God cast me down? Because I loved him. More than anything. And then God created," He chuckled a bit and gave an evil smirk, "You. The little... Hairless apes. And then he asked all of us to bow down before you, to love you more than him. And I said, "Father... I can't." I said, "These human beings are flawed, murderous." And for that... God had Michael cast me into hell. Now, tell me... Does the punishment fit the crime? Especially when I was right? Look at what the six billion of you have done to this thing. And how many of you blame me for it?"

"You're not fooling us. You know that? With this sympathy-for-the-devil crap. We know what you are," Dean said and I nodded, as if backing him up.

"What am I?" Lucifer asked. I looked at Dean.

"You're the same thing, only bigger. The same brand of cockroach we've been squashing our whole lives- an ugly, evil, belly-to-the-ground, supernatural piece of crap. The only difference between them and you is the size of your ego," Dean said and my eyes went wide. This is why you were killed, sir. Lucifer shot us a sickening smile, almost as if forced.

"I like you, Dean. You too, little Rhett," he looked at me and I glared at him, "I get what the other angels see in you two. Goodbye. We'll meet again soon," he said and turned around, beginning to walk away.

"You better kill us now!" I shouted, finally speaking for what felt like forever. He turned around.

"Pardon?" He asked and I walked in front of Dean.

"You better kill us now. Or I swear, we will find a way to kill you. And we won't stop."

"I know you won't," he said, walking back toward us, "I know you won't let your brother say yes alone, Rhett. And I know you won't say yes to Michael, either, Dean. And I know neither of you will kill Sam. Whatever you do... You will always end up here. Whatever choices you make, whatever details you alter, we will always end up... Here. I win. So, I win."

"You're wrong," Dean said from behind me, his voice cracking. I turned around to see his cheeks wet with tears.

"See you in five years, Dean. And see you in one, little Rhett," Lucifer said and with that, he vanished. I began shaking and hugged Dean, letting out more tears as he gently rubbed my back. I pulled back and saw a figure behind him. We both turned to it and without realizing, pressure was on my forehead and everything went white.

When I came to, I was standing by the mini fridge in the room Dean and I shared, as was Dean. Zachariah was standing in front of us and I quickly hugged Dean.

"Oh well if it isn't the ghost of Christmas "Screw you."," Dean said.

"Enough. Dean, enough. You saw it right? You saw what happens. You're the only person who can prove the Devil wrong. Just say "Yes"."

"No," I whispered.

"How do I know that this whole thing isn't one of your tricks. Huh? Some angel hocus-pocus?" Dean asked and I nodded.

"The time for tricks is over. Give yourself to Michael," Zach said, beginning to walk closer. I grimaced, "Say "Yes" and we can strike. Before Lucifer gets to Sam. Before billions die," I shook my head, knowing Dean would never, but when I looked to him, he seemed to be contemplating it. I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering if he could really want to do that.

"Dean?" I asked in a quiet voice as he pulled away from me and slowly walked past Zach.

"Nah."

"Nah? You telling me you haven't learned your lesson?" Zach asked. I smirked.

"Oh, I've learned a lesson, all right. Just not the one you wanted to teach," Dean said.

"Well I'll just have to teach it again! Cause I-" Before he finished what he was saying, I was somewhere else. I looked around and everywhere was dark, but I was under a street lamp and right by a road. Turning around, I saw Dean and Cass. Not stoner Cass, my Cass.

"That's pretty nice timing, Cass," Dean said.

"We had an appointment," Cass said with a bit of a sly smirk. Dean put his hand on Cass' shoulder.

"Don't ever change," He said.

"How did Zachariah find you two?" Cass asked, glancing at me.

"Long story. Let's just stay away from Jehovah's witnesses from now on, okay?" Dean asked, pulling out a piece of paper.

"What are you doing?" Cass asked. I never took my eyes off him.

"Something I should have done in the first place," Dean said and put the phone to his ear. He looked at Cass and then to me, backing up, "I think you two have something to talk about," he said and walked a few steps away. Up till now, I had just been staring at Cass.

"Are you okay?" he asked me, taking a step to me. I quickly grabbed him and pulled him to me, hugging him.

"Don't leave me, okay?" I asked and buried my face in his chest.

"I wasn't planning on it," he said and I nodded.

"But if I ever do anything stupid, you stop me, okay?" I said, looking into his eyes, he nodded.

"What is this about?" he asked and I shook my head.

"Nothing important," I mumbled and rested my head on his shoulder, "I love you, Cass."

A/N YEs hEllo tIme foR mE to RaNt.

I drew this person and the drawing had lineart and was actually COLORED (It took three friggen hours) and the person I drew decided to compliment two things and criticize the rest :')

QOTD: What's your zodiac sign?

I'm a Pisces and literally everything I've seen about Pisces says we're either very angry or very adorable. :3

Edit: If you've read and or re-read this story you'll probably see that there's a bit of a difference in the middle. I decided to add a "dark" version of Rhett, since it seems like everyone gets dark versions (Demon Dean, Soulless Sam, Godstiel). And yes! She will be important in the future but not in this book. I have plans for her though.

Anyways...

Thank you for reading!

Hope you liked it!

Goodbye for now my lovelies!
