Annabeth was walking into school the day after finding the note in her locker. She still had no idea who it could be. But she was looking forward to seeing Percy again.

So Annabeth and Thalia walked to class together. Thalia kept teasing Annnabeth about the note and about Percy. Finally they sat down in history. Percy walked in about a minute after the girls had. Annabeth was once again struck by how handsome he was. His hair was it's usual mess and his eyes were sparkling.

Percy caught Annabeth's eye and bee-lined for her. He smiled down at her before speaking. "Hey there Wise Girl." Annabeth smiled at him.

"Hey Percy." Annnabeth could feel Thalia smirking. "Why don't sit here?" Annnabeth motioned to the seat on her other side.

"Sure." Percy shrugged and plopped down. He pulled out his textbook and his notebook. "So do you like this class?" Percy asked.

"Yes actually. Mr Brunner makes everything a bit more interesting." Annabeth explained while fiddling with her pen.

"Hey this is going to sound weird but are you by chance ADHD?" Percy asked while glancing at Annabeth's pen and her tapping foot.

"Yeah actually I am." Annabeth bit her lip.

"Cool so am I." And as emphasis he pulled out this pen that he had in his pocket. It was a simple ballpoint that he had been capping and uncapping. "I know one other kid at this school who is. His name is Leo Valdez, he's a friend of mine."

"I think I've heard of him." Leo Valdez... Yeah that was that's kid who looked like a Latino elf. He was the son of the best mechanic in the city, and that's a big title, and he was always found in the woodshop room.

"I think everyone has! The guy is a huge goofball!" Percy's eyes lit up and he chuckled. God his laugh. Annabeth mentally slapped herself, she just met this boy!

Class went by with Percy and Annabeth quietly joking around. At one point Annabeth had poked Percy's hand with her pencil. Percy snatched the pencil out of her hands and poked her side. Annabeth held in her laugh and just glared at him. He just grinned.

Of course Thalia made a point to fake throw up whenever Annabeth looked over to her.

After class the two parted with waves. Fourth period came and Annabeth was happy to sit with Percy. They had a chemistry class. They were chatting when the teacher announced for them to get partners for a lab.

Percy winked at Annabeth and Annabeth smiled back. That's how they got to them pouring chemicals into different beakers.

Annabeth was pouring in a green liquid to a purple one. What was supposed to happen was for the colors to change to bright orange. What really happened was a mini explosion that resulted with Annabeth having black power on her nose and hands.

Percy laughed as Annabeth pouted. She had done it wrong because Percy had distracted her by placing a hand on the small of her back to walk around her.

"Aw Wise Girl it's okay." Percy chuckled a bit more as Annabeth glared at him. Annabeth grinned and took her black powered finger and booped Percy's nose. He grabbed her hand and pouted. Annabeth laughed and Percy grinned. "Well played Wise Girl." Annabeth poked his cheek and grinned.

"Of course Seaweed Brain." Annabeth had heard all about Percy's obsession with the ocean and he wasn't the most observant person.

"Nice nickname Wise Girl." He said sarcastically.

"Like Wise Girl is much better?" Annabeth questioned.

Percy stuck his nose up and held his hand up while sticking his hip out. "I will have you know that it is a great nickname." Annabeth chuckled at his sass and lightly hit his arm.

"Whatever Seaweed Brain." Annabeth teased. "Help me redo this." And so they started again.

After that class the two walked to lunch together. Percy told her how he usually sat outside. Annabeth made him sit with her and her friends.

"Guess who I dragged here." Annabeth announced to Thalia and Grover as she punched Percy's arm playfully. Percy gasped and faked hurt. But it melted into a grin as he poked Annabeth's side and sat down.

"Well Percy. Looks like you got sucked into our little group here." Thalia laughed. Percy shrugged.

"I don't know if sucked is the right word. More like punched into." He said glaring at Annabeth and rubbing his arm. Of course this was just him teasing so Annabeth glared back.

"You two sure got close quick." Grover pointed out. His sly smile sent both teens blushing. Annabeth gave a death glare while Percy rubbed the back of his head.

"Seaweed Brain here made me mess up our lab in Chemistry today." Annabeth changed the subject.

"Wise Girl how did I do anything? I didn't do anything because you wouldn't let me!" Percy protested. This of course sparked an argument.

Thalia looked to Grover and rolled her eyes. Grover just gave a shrug. Finally the two stopped and glared at each other. Only for Percy to poke Annabeth's cheek and her to burst out laughing.

The day continued until after gym where Percy and Annnabeth tried to beat each other. Percy left after changing and saying goodbye.

Annabeth waited for Thalia and then the girls walked to Annabeth's locker. Thalia mentioned the note as Annabeth opened her locker. And another note fluttered out.

"Your laugh is like pure gold. Please never stop smiling. For if your laugh is gold your smile is a diamond." The note was in the same loopy scrawl. Annabeth blushed as Thalia read the note aloud. Annabeth scolded Thalia and folded the note gently and stuck it with the other one in a pocket in her binder.

She wished she could figure out who it was.
