Chapter 7 ❣︎︎ Fan Clubs!
   Selena's  POV

California, 1993

I was sitting in my room on my bed. Cross legged. Working on outfits for the band to wear. I was hoping my siblings would like them.

I knew my dad planned on going on this tour with all of us. My parents had always been over protective of us. I was hoping that once they saw Michael watching out for us they would head back home here.

That was the plan. But I was not counting on that. I was so excited for this tour. My sister brought me magazines. We were on the cover of one with Michael. The tour was out.

More people wanted to know who I was because of Michael. It gave me butterflies in my stomach. I was going to be singing in front of millions of people. I take a deep breath. Close my eyes and imagine it in my head.

I get the tingle inside as I see the image of people screaming for me. Not just Michael. For people falling in love with my songs. My voice. My dreams becoming theirs. It gave me the chills to feel this. My dreams were coming true. 

And the best was yet to come....

"More off the press sis" says Suzette as and Chris walk into my room. She places magazines' on the bed.

"More of what?" I ask as I open my eyes.

"What were you doing just now? Yoga?" teases Chris. I blush.

"Shut up!" I snap.

"He broke up with her now you two could date" brags Suze.

She shows me the dirt between Michael and Lisa Marie.

"He is my friend my coworker that is all" I scoff.

"What if he broke things off to be with you" says Suze.

"I doubt that" I laugh. "Michael has dated people who were born famous. I never saw him date someone who was a no one"

"But you are going to be a someone soon" points out Chris.

"You have always been a someone" says Suze.

"Thanks, but I doubt that. Do not go putting ideas into my head" I laugh.

"You need a fan club. We should hire someone to manage it" says Chris.

"Me? I do not have any fans yet for a fan club" I giggle.

"But you will" says Suzette. "you will need help"

"When that time comes then we hire help" I state.

The phone rings as we bicker about the what if's. I was thrilled about their faith in my voice. But I had not sang in public yet.

Our first show was going to happen very soon. Out in Disney. In California here. I was so excited. We had never been to Disney Land before. I could hardly wait to ride rides later.

"Selena phone call" calls my dad from down stairs. I head down to take the call.

"Hello?"  I answer the call.

"Hi Selena" says Michael.

"Hey"

"Are you nervous about your first show with me?" he asks me.

"Am I" I laugh. "Yes I am"

"You are going to be fine. I was hoping you guys could come over. I would like to have a celebration dinner at my place tonight. Are you all free?" he asks me. He had the softest sexiest voice. My ears grow red hearing his voice in my eardrum.

"Sure, I can ask. Hang on" I say.

"What?" Suze asks me. She was right beside me.

"Michael invites us all over for dinner" I announce. "are you free?" I tease.

"Yes" says Chris.

"Of course" adds AB and the others.

"They say yes. What time?" I ask Michael.

"How about seven pm?" he asks me.

"Sounds great. We will be there" I tell him. "see you soon"

I hang up the phone. I smile as I lean on the kitchen counter. I was having dinner with Michael. My day was looking up. Suzette smiles. She winks at me.

"Do not start. This is not a date you all are invited to" I remind her sternly.

"We can bail out if you want to be alone" she teases me.

"No" I sternly tell her.

"Come on" she laughs.

"NO!" I announce loudly. "now drop it!" I order.

"Sel you are no fun" laughs Chris.

I go up to my room. Then I hop in the shower to freshen up for tonight. I fix my hair and makeup for Michael.

I wear a sexy outfit but a comfortable one. One that showed off my tummy. I let my hair tumble down for the night. I smile as I check out my outfit one more time. Soon it was going to be time to leave. I could hardly wait. 

"Suzette will be right down she is fussing about her shoes" Chris tells me as he sits on the couch. He looks annoyed.

"What about your shoes. Are you wearing those?" I tease.

"Buzz off" he laughs. "smart ass"

I giggle.

Once we were all ready to go we headed on over to Neverland Ranch. The guards allowed us to go inside. Then we park in front of Michael's huge home where he was waiting for us out there in front of his house.

"Welcome!" he greets us. He hugs each one of us. Then myself last. He smiles at me. "I am glad you are here"

"Me to" I tell him. He looks a little bit shy. 

"Follow me" he tells us.

We let him lead the way. We enter his fancy dining room. It was all set up for us. Dinner smelled wonderful. I was seated next to my sister and Michael. We have a four course dinner. Salad then soup and more. It was wonderful. So healthy. I loved it all. 

"That was wonderful. I could not eat another bite" laughs AB.

"Me either" says Suzette.

"Want to take a walk outside then dessert will be ready soon" offers Michael.

"You spoil us" I tease him. He grins.

"I try" he chuckles.

We follow him outside.

"Michael I was telling Selena she is going to need someone to run a fan club for her" Suzette brings up.

"I told you I needed fans before we do that" I laugh.

"But you will have a ton" brags AB.

"She sure will" agrees Michael. "when the time comes I will help set up the fan club" he offers.

"Thanks" I laugh.

"How many times have you performed shows at Disney?' wonders AB.

"Many. We are going to be singing on a float in the parade" says Michael.

"Wow" says Chris. "this is going to be a blast"

"That it is" I agree.

"Then we head off for the tour. It gives them incite. They see what we are about once the word gets out about this then more people will be fighting for tickets" explains Michael.

"You are the show stopper. They will want your tickets" I point out.

He touches my arm with his hand. "Wait until they discover you. They will fall in love with your voice. Just like I have. Wait and see Selena" he promises me.

Our eyes meet. He smiles. I can't help but smile back at him.

"Glad you have faith in me" I softly say.

"Of course, I have faith that stars always shine" he points out.

That gave me butterflies scattering about inside of me. We walk on together. I was excited about this show. No telling what was going to happen on this tour.
