It was in the afternoon. You decided to go to the gardens because in your opinion, they were the most beautiful. You also hoped to run into Eremius. You don't know why, but you felt attached to him. Even if it was only one day. Who knows maybe this is what they call love? Nah. You never believed love can happen overnight. You were just happy to befriend someone new.

You wandered into the gardens and saw a man with a white ponytail. Immediately you called out to him.

"Eremius!" You yell waving. He turns around and stares wide eyes before regaining composure. He then begins walking towards you.

"Hello F/n. How are you doing today?" He replies in a polite manner.

"Fine. How about you?"

"Fine. Is there somethibg you need of me?"

"Yeah. I'm bored. Be my entertainment."

Eremius goes quiet before he nods. And so the two you go walking in the gardens chatting about the most random things and made each other laugh at the most silliest things. You soon learned more about Eremius, such as how he lost his parents to an epidemic and hiw the late king brought him into the castle to work. You only known for maybe a day or two, but you swore you acted as if you were never apart.

Meanwhile...
Rhys was making his rounds and saw you... with Eremius. He was angry. It has been a few days but he already knew his desicion on who his bride was going to be. You. He was mad that Eremius was taking your precious time away. Away from him. Standing it no more he yells.

"Eremius! Come here now!" When he yells those words, both you and Eremius turn around. At the sight of the young king, you both straighten up and began walking towards him. He begins to smile at the sight of you. Oh how beautiful you appeared to him. He couldn't wait to announce to the world you were his bride to be.

Now back to you
"You called Your Majesty." Eremius says bowing. You follow suit with a curtesy.

"Ah yes. I don't recall you being on break now, or are you cutting work?" Rhys says smiling. You didn't know why but you felt that smile was a fake. But why?

"I apologize, but I was accompanying Princess F/n of Aux."

"Oh."

"Please don't be mad at him." You say hastily. "I asked him specifically. He was just complying." You could see Rhys' smile falter.

"I understand. But really Princess F/n, Eremius has work to do. It would be a problem if he were to not do them right?" You nod. "Eremius go and look over my paperwork in my study."

"Understood Your Majesty." He says bowing. He then turbs to you and grabs your hand and kisses it. "Until next time F/n." You began to blush. But before you can ask why he did so, he was already walking away.

Rhys was trying so hard to maintain conposure. He wanted to stab Eremius, but you were here. He didn't want to leave a bad impression. He then realized you two were alone. Seeing an opprtunity, he begans to ask, " would like to have some afternoon tea." You stare at him before smiling

"No. I refuse." You began to walk away. It may have been rude, but your objective is to not get chosen. You didn't relize though the consequences of you actions though.

Out of you earshot. Rhys began to mumble.
"Why why why whyWHY! WHY EREMIUS! THAT BASTARD STOLE YOU FROM ME DIDN'T HE!?" He was mad. To reject him cruelly but be able to be so happy with a servant? The thoughts aggravated him. Soon he went quiet. Then he began to laugh maniacally. "Don't worry F/n you'll be mine. And then you'll realize how much better I am then that bastard."
