You stopped visiting Rhys after that. It was finally the day of your wedding. You were not happy at all. Your fate depended on whether or not you could convince Rhys to let you spend some time in Isawol and that is if he doesn't suspect you too much.

Rhys pov

I'm so excited! Today I get my beautiful F/n. At last, we will be forever tied together.

And now back to you

Your mother and father arrive with grim faces. You could see the sadness in their eyes.

"It's okay," you say with a faint smile. "I'll be alright." wordlessly, both of them walk up and hug you. You return the embrace. "Don't worry." you whisper with a tear sliding down your cheek. "I'll be free. I promise." The three of you remain that way for a while. The three of you chat and it is explained that the reason why your brother wasn't able to attend today was because of his engagement party to Aileen. They soon leave as it was soon time for the wedding. 

Time skip

You hear the wedding march. That is the cue for you and your father to enter the chapel. You see Rhys smiling brightly. Several nobles and royal families came to attend to the wedding, but more went for your brother's engagement party. Not that you cared. Today was a day you didn't want to remember. You soon reach the front and is standing next Rhys listening to the pastor. He finally asks Rhys, "Do you Rhys Barbicane, king of Sola wish to take F/n L/n, princess of Aux, to be your lawfully wedded wife until death due you part?"

"I do." he says with no hesistation.

"Do you, F/n L/n, princess of Aux, wish to take Rhys Barbicane, king of Sola, to be your lawfully wedded husband until death due you part?" There is a short amount of silence before you say,

"...I do." 

"You may now kiss the bride." You turn towards Rhys and he lifts your veil. He moves to kiss you. He does. His eyes were closed. You knew this. Because, your eyes were open.
