When Aileen said those words, you were shocked. Why not though? He was of age, handsome and is going to be a king and Aileen was pretty and nice. They would be suited. When you regained your composure you started to ask questions.

"You mean Jarta L/n? The guy who always is off doing business with other countries?" She nodded. "Okay then. Who proposed first then?"

"My parents sent a request and he accepted it when I notified them I wasn't chosen." There was a pause of silence before Aileen spoke again. "F/n you are the first person I can say is truly my friend. I know you think the same. So please don't do this." You could see the desperation in her eyes.

"I'm sorry. I can't."

"Then there has to be another way."

"No there isn't." Eremius cut in. "If she runs, Aux is in danger of a siege. If she doesn't appear dead to Rhys, he will find her regardless of what might happen. That is how much he loves her."

"He doesn't love me," you cut in. What he has for me isn't love, it is an obssession." You stare at Eremius before turning back to Aileen. "Aileen, I need you to help me. Without you, I got no chance of escaping him."  After a moment of silence Aileen speaks.

"So when are you going to visit next time?"

Rhys was in room. The king and queen hated him. He knew this. He knew you loved them dearly. He hated that. He wanted to erase them from the world. But he couldn't. Because if they were to die, regardless of it was his or some else's handiwork he would be blamed by you. He knew she hated him. At this he was sad. He then smiled. His little princess will soon only rely on him. She was going to try and escape. As much as he hated that, he needed her to escape, that way he can find her and make her realize escaping is pointless. She was probably discussing escaping as of now. This he knew.
