There was this thing he had to go through before the tutor session.

And it was school.

"Damn, today is so slow." He muttered. It was the last subject of the day, but sadly it was the one that had double period.

As the teacher droned on about irrelevant things, his energy diminished as well.

'It wouldn't hurt to sleep right?' He thought to himself.

He looked at the teacher. She doesn't mind the back row anymore because she forced all the noisy and popular kids to the front.

He looked at his seatmates beside him, they were both unresponsive all because they were snoozing the lessons away.

He looked at the clock across the classroom, the minute hand only moved an inch.

Finally he decided to sleep, he wouldn't be seen anyway. Neither of the ones beside him can tell the teacher too.

So he buried his head in his arms and it wasn't long before he joined his seatmates to sleep.

He appeared to be in his house. Why was he here? Shouldn't he be in school?

Nonetheless he continued to look around. That's when he noticed a girl, about elementary, and a boy, who was middle school, walking towards the front gate.

She was smiling deviously whilst the other guy looked worried.

"We shouldn't be here." The older guy grumbled.

"Tch, you're so scared onii-chan." The younger girl teased. "It's not like those stories are true, right?"

"Yeah-"

"So you shouldn't worry about it!" She chuckled and continued to walk towards his house.

"They might get mad." Her older brother warned her for the nth time.

"They didn't say anything about not going here." She shrugged.

They finally reached the gates. The young girl peered inside.

"See, it's not scary." She said to her brother.

"Don't look inside!" Her brother exclaimed but she didn't listen.

The large gates suddenly creaked open. The female's jaw dropped.

"Cool, it's automatic!" She awed. The boy, who'd usually laugh at his sister's idiocy, didn't let out a sound. He was trembling with fright, but he didn't want his younger sister see.

"I-If you go in, mom will get mad." He threatened, but it was no use. She went it.

"Onii-chan, look there's a young boy." She pointed at the distance. Indeed, there was.

"Yeah, yeah, come on." He pulled the excited young girl but she tugged away.

"Hi! Would you like some? We're your new neighbors." She tapped the boy's shoulder and handed him a container with a slice of pizza.

When the boy turned, Subaru couldn't help but gasp. He had red eyes and white hair with pinkish tips that covered one of them, it was his younger version. The young boy looked surprised. "W-who are you?"

"Didn't you hear? We're your new neighbors. I'm Y/L/N, Y/N and this is my onii-chan." She introduced herself and the boy accompanying him.

"H-Hi, sorry for intruding. We just want to give something, we'll be going now." The older guy had no intentions giving his name to this weird looking child, he had to get Y/N out of here as soon as possible before their parents find out they're missing.

"What's your name?" She asked him.

"W-why do you want to know?" He questioned suspiciously.

"So I can address you properly." She replied with a charming smile. The boy blushed a bit. He wasn't that used to people smiling at him like this.

"S-Subaru." He mumbled shyly.

"Nice to meet you Subaru, wish we could play sometime." It was the last thing she said before she let her brother drag her away.

So the next few chapters are going to have italic texts since it's going to become all flashbacks.

And you'll finally know what happened between them in the past :D
