I Can't Do It.

The members were in the middle of practicing choreography for one of their new songs.

They had the choreography up to the chorus complete and now it was time to learn the part for the next bridge.

There were some dancers in the studio to practice with them because they were getting ready for a concert. The two main dancers of the group were Pogi and Vio. They were helping come up with a lot of the choreography alongside Hobi. All the members were super grateful for their support and effort.

"Well for the bridge I was thinking Vio and I could do a stunt where we lift one of you up," said Pogi.

Taehyung, Namjoon, and Yoongi immediately backed away with their arms up in surrender. The three of them absolutely refused to volunteer.

"Ohh, that could look very cool," Hobi agreed.

"Who would you lift up?" Jungkook asked. He knew it wouldn't be him. He was usually too heavy for that kind of thing.

"We all know it'd be Jimin. He's the best at all that aerial stuff," Jin teased.

Jimin smiled. He enjoyed the small compliment. "I suppose I can try."

"Perfect!" Pogi replied, "Come over here and stand in the middle of Vio and I and we will lift you up."

Jimin gracefully walked over to the two with confidence. He always loved when he got a chance to show off his unique dance skills, especially things that his other members were never quite willing to do.

"Just be careful," Hobi pouted, "We have to be really careful with any moves where we're lifting someone. I don't want anyone getting hurt."

"No worries," said Vio. The members circled around as Jimin stood between Pogi and Vio. Taehyung was having some anxiety. He hated any moves where someone was lifted, thrown, or anything of the sort. Thankfully he trusted Hobi's judgement and knew he'd never let the members be involved in anything too dangerous.

"Have you seen the way in cheerleading stunts, the two people lift them all the way into the air and hold them there?" Pogi asked Jimin. Jimin nodded.

"Wait, you're going to lift him all the way into the air like that?" Yoongi asked with some concern in his voice. He turned to Hobi, "Isn't that too dangerous?"

"Aish," Hobi pouted. He honestly wasn't too sure about this move either, "Maybe don't lift him all the way up like that."

"Okay," replied Vio. The two main dancers bent down and grabbed onto Jimin's feet as the singer gripped their shoulders tightly. He was a bit nervous. He wasn't sure how high up they would be bringing him, he'd only ever been lifted up maybe four feet off the ground. He'd much rather do choreography where he could just do a flip instead, if he was being honest with himself.

Jungkook could tell Jimin was nervous because he could see the way Jimin's hands were trembling while gripping the dancers shoulders. Just as the two were about to lift Jimin up, Jungkook couldn't help himself. He was too protective.

"Wait!" Jungkook yelled and looked at Jimin, "Hyung you don't have to do this move if you don't want to."

"It's alright, I can at least try," replied Jimin. The maknae bit his lip, he really didn't want to witness some kind of accident. Pogi and Vio counted and then lifted Jimin up. The higher he got, the more nervous he became. It was hard for the dancers to hold on to him steadily because his legs had started shaking so badly.

Jimin started to panic, they were lifting him too high.

"Wait, no. Down! Put me down! I want to get down!" Jimin cried. He was flailing his arms out in front of him while his members huddled around him quickly and grabbed his arms. The two dancers brought him back to the ground.

"Hobi told you not to lift him so high," Jin said with a little bit of annoyance in his voice. He hated it when people didn't listen to instructions that could compromise someone's safety.

"It wasn't that high," Pogi insisted.

Jin rolled his eyes. If it scared Jimin, then it was too high.

"I'm sorry, I can't do it," Jimin pouted, "I don't like that." He stepped away from the dancers and looked at Hobi with sorrowful eyes.

"With some practice you can do it just fine," insisted Pogi. Vio nodded in agreement.

"Nah, if it scares him I will think of something else. No more of that," Hobi said without much thought to it. It wasn't much of a debatable thing. If his members felt too nervous or scared to do a certain dance move, he'd scrap it. That was why his members also greatly trusted having Hobi as their dance leader. He always put their needs and wants first and never made anyone do anything they weren't comfortable doing.

The members all patted Jimin on the back and told him he shouldn't feel bad about it, it was fine if he didn't want to do it. They didn't like seeing him panic in the air, it hurt their hearts a bit.

Hobi decided he'd figure something out for the second bridge later and instructed everyone to start from the top of the song again.

Once practicing that was finished, it was time to call it a day. The members and the rest of the dancers left the dance studio. The members were headed off to their studios for some individual work but Pogi and Vio had stopped Jimin and asked him to go over a few more steps together.

"Why?" Jimin asked confused. Why only me?

"We would just like to practice with you a bit more," said Pogi.

Jungkook suddenly popped his head back into the studio to check on Jimin when he noticed he hadn't left, "You coming, hyungie?"

Jimin looked to the two dancers then back at his maknae, "I'm going to practice a bit more, you go on ahead Kookie. I'll be done in a bit."

Suddenly Taehyung popped his head in next to Jungkook, "Jimin-ah, Jin hyung said he'd take us out for ice cream tonight!"

Jungkook opened his mouth wide and gestured to Jimin, "You hear that hyungie?! Ice cream! Hurry up with your practice!"

Jimin smiled at his fellow maknae's, "I won't be long, I promise."

"Okay, have fun!" Taehyung waved  goodbye to Jimin and disappeared with the maknae.

Jimin turned to the two dancers, "So what steps would you like to practice? And isn't it better to practice with everyone?"

"We want to practice the stunt," replied Vio. Jimin felt anxiety shoot through his chest.

"Hobi hyung doesn't want us doing that anymore. He said he'll think of something else," replied Jimin. He didn't understand why the two wanted to practice that after already being told it wouldn't be part of the choreography anymore .

"I think we should keep it," insisted Pogi.

"Hobi hyung is the dance leader. He's in charge of our dances and he said he didn't want us doing that." Jimin was feeling a bit frustrated with Pogi and Vio. They didn't seem to be getting what he was trying to tell them.

"Do you always listen to Hobi?" Pogi asked, there was a bit of annoyance in his tone.

"When it comes to him being my dance leader, yes," replied Jimin.

Vio wrapped his arm around Jimin's shoulders, "Just think what it would look like if we mastered it, though! ARMY's would love it! It would look so cool! We would get a lot of love for that part of the dance!"

Jimin sighed, "I know it would look cool, but I can't do it, I'm sorry. It scares me."

"There's nothing to be scared of," replied Pogi.

"Falling," Jimin pouted.

"We wouldn't let that happen," replied Vio.

"I'm sorry but hyungie said no and he's in charge. He knows I'm too scared." Jimin stared at the two silently for a moment befor Pogi and Vio continued to persuade. They told him again how cool it would look, how  much recognition it could give Hobi as the dance leader, how incredible of  a dancer it would make Jimin look.

They didn't mention the reason they actually wanted Jimin to do the stunt so badly. For the recognition they would get as the two people who lifted Jimin into the air and executed the entire stunt. The praise they would get. The cheers they would get. The opportunities they could get.

It took some convincing but eventually Jimin cracked under the constant pressure and said they could at least try to practice it a little bit and if it didn't work, it didn't work.

"Perfect!" said Vio.

Pogi and Vio got in the position to lift Jimin up and the singer stood in-between them. He already felt himself starting to shake. It dawned on him that if he got scared while being lifted this time, his members weren't right there to catch him. Pogi also noticed how badly the singer was shaking.

"You have to calm down, the more you shake, the harder it will be to hold you in the air," informed Pogi.

"I'm sorry," Jimin pouted, "I'm still scared."

"Just trust us," said Vio.

That was hard for Jimin to do. The only people he ever truly put his trust in were his members, and they were all elsewhere. He took deep breaths.

"Ready?" Vio said.

"No," Jimin whispered nervously.

"Well, up you go!"

The two dancers lifted Jimin quickly and he instantly panicked. He didn't feel safe or secure at all. They were lifting him into the air too quickly and way too high up. They tried lifting him even higher than they had the first time. Jimin felt his legs shaking uncontrollably as he tried to keep himself balanced.

"Down! Down!" Jimin cried in a panic, "I can't do it please put me down!"

"Just suck it up and stand up straight Jimin!" yelled Pogi.

Jimin tried to bend his knees to get lower to the ground so he could get down but the two refused to let go of his feet.

"I said put me down!" Jimin cried again.

"Figure it out and do the damn stunt!" Vio screamed.

Instant tears strolled down Jimin's cheeks. He wanted his members. Especially Hobi. He felt like an absolute idiot for even trying this again. It didn't work the first time, and it wasn't going to work the second. He realized there was a reason everyone always listened to Hobi, because Hobi was always right. Jimin realized he'd made a mistake.

More panic and anxiety set in when Pogi and Vio wouldn't put him down. His fight or flight started to kick in and something inside him told him to just jump out of their hands, but he knew that was a terrible idea because he was way too high in the air. He didn't know what to do and it scared the hell out of him. He was angry at Pogi and Vio for not listening to his pleads to be put back down.

His legs were shaking so badly that they gave out, and Vio and Pogi immediately let him go.

Jimin screamed as he went crashing down onto the floor and landed on his side. He had tried catching himself by putting his hands out in front of him, and heard something pop while feeling something crack in his wrist as he hit the hardwood floor.

He immediately curled up into a ball and clutched his wrist to his chest, screaming and crying in pain. He was hyperventilating now as his face drowned in tears. He didn't know it was possible to feel this kind of pain in both his wrist and his ribs.

"Ah!" Jimin cried, "Help! It hurts! Help!"

"You shouldn't have done that, Jimin!" Vio said angrily, "You made us drop you!"

"I'm s-s-sorry. It hurts. I'm sorry. Please get help," Jimin cried desperately. He didn't care who came to help or save him he just needed it to be someone, and quickly, because the pain was unbearable. Vio and Pogi looked at eachother with frustration but didn't move. They weren't quick to rush for help because they knew this might get them in trouble.

"Can you just stand up?" Pogi asked.

Jimin cried harder. "N-no," he whimpered. His wrist was sending shooting pains all the way up his arm while every breath he took made his ribs and entire side shoot black spots of pain before his vision.

As if by instinct, Hobi, Jungkook, and Taehyung all came into the studio. They were on their way by when they heard Jimin crying from inside. They ran to him.

"Oh my God!" Taehyung screamed, "Jiminie what happened?!"

The three of them huddled around Jimin as he continued to cry and hyperventilate.

"F-Fell," replied Jimin.

Jungkook took Jimin's wrist to inspect it. It was already badly bruised and swollen.

"Oh no hyungie!" Jungkook replied with tears of concern, "How did you fall this badly!?"

"The s-s-stunt," Jimin confessed.

"You mean the one I told you not to do?!" Hobi asked angrily. "Why were you practicing that?! I told you we weren't doing that!"

"I'm sorry," Jimin cried. The three of them rubbed Jimin's back.

"We needed to try one more time," said Pogi.

"No you didn't," Taehyung pouted, "Hobi hyung said you weren't doing it for a reason. It was too dangerous!" Taehyung also had tears of frustration. Why didn't the damn dancers just listen to the person in charge? Hobi gave orders for a reason!

Soon Namjoon, Jin, and Yoongi ran into the studio after hearing all the commotion. They were updated on what happened and felt absolutely terrible for Jimin. They too were extremely mad at the dancers. They told the dancers to get the hell out of their studio while they called for an ambulance. While waiting, Jin took his jacket off and placed it on Jimin as a blanket to comfort him.

Jimin continued to apologize while they waited for the ambulance to show up. They all rubbed his back and told him it was alright. He told them the dancers had pressured him into trying again but he really wasn't sure why they had been so persistent.

"They seem selfish," said Yoongi. The rest of the members nodded in agreement.

Paramedics soon arrived and brought Jimin to the Emergency Room. The members were right there behind him. They were allowed to gather in his room with him and waited impatiently once he was taken away for x-rays. He needed x-rays of his wrist and his ribs.

When he came back the members hovered around him, giving him gentle head caresses and small kisses on his face. They all hated seeing him laying in a hospital bed. He looked exhausted and in pain. His eyes were bloodshot and puffy from all the crying. He couldn't help but still feel guilty for not listening to Hobi in the first place. He still kept trying to apologize but Hobi told him he can't beat himself up over it.

"Yeah, you already got beat up enough," Yoongi joked. Some of the members chuckled at the joke, some didn't.

The x-ray results came back and Jimin had a broken wrist, but on the bright side his ribs were alright, just a bit bruised up.

"Oh no!" Jungkook cried at the news, "A broken wrist?! Poor hyungie!" he started crying and wrapped Jimin into a hug.

"I'll be alright," Jimin told his maknae reassuringly. He didn't want any of them to worry too much. Jimin turned to Jin and asked if they could still go out for ice cream afterwards.

"Of course," Jin smiled.

"Oh Jimin-ah, what are we going to do with you?" Namjoon pouted. All he knew was that this really sucked and he felt absolutely terrible seeing Jimin hurt.

Jimin was quickly fitted for a cast and the members sat around him in awe at the process. Once it was on they all asked for a sharpie and immediately fought to be the first to sign it. Hobi mentioned that after this incident he was going to have Pogi and Vio removed from being in their dance group. He realized he couldn't trust them at all and no way would he risk something bad happening again.

"So then what are we going to do about the concert? And dance? I'm really sorry about this hyung," Jimin pouted to Hobi.

"Well, like I said before about the dance move, I will figure something else out," replied Hobi.

"And this is why you're our dance leader." Jimin smiled up at his hyung. He realized the only people he would ever listen to from now on were his members.

And only his members.
