✷ 014: Loose.
I CAN FIX HIM ! by KissLeclerc
September 16, 2022 # "The Wench?"
"ADELINE!" Paul's call rang out as she stepped out of her car in the parking lot. The gloomy morning prompting her to wear a thick coat over her uniform and as she turned, she spotted his familiar face coming forward. In her arms, she cradled a bouquet of vibrant daffodils that was grabbed out from the passengers seat, their colors popping against the backdrop of the asphalt.
"Hey." Her voice tired as he reached her. Looking up to get a good look at his face, she could see the anticipation in his eyes as she handed him the bouquet. "For Vivienne." With a subtle smirk playing on her lips.
"Thank you very much." Paul's voice was soft, his grin genuine as he snatched it from her grasp. "And for being so helpful-Hold." He gently set the bouquet on top of her car and reached into his backpack as she yawned.
"A strawberry croissant." A branded paper bag in his grip, the familiar logo being from her favorite bakery.
"Oh my god, I'll kill you." Her eyes widened before snagging the treat out of his grasp. "This is so beautiful." Her smile shined ever so brightly. "You didn't have to!"
"A token of my appreciation!" He insisted. "And you gave me your milkshake. I owed you one."
"Oh, very much so actually." Adeline smirked, continuing to grab her school bag from her car.
"Anyways, hope everything goes well. I've got to meet Ollie in Vettel's class now." She attempted to bid him off.
"Wait, I'll come with?"
"Don't you have wood-shop this morning?" She quirked a brow.
"Nope." He bit down a laugh. "I finally switched it to a free study hall."
"No, you didn't." Her expression fell.
"I did." Paul's grin was cockier than ever as he casually picked the bouquet back up.
"Why." Adeline grumbled as she locked her car.
"So I can hang out with you and Ollie." He adjusted the straps on his bag before the two began to mindlessly walk towards the school building together.
"You know I actually like to do work during my study halls?" She nearly laughed as she began to rip bits off of her strawberry croissant and eat.
"Yeah, so which is why Ollie and I can help you loosen up" He snickered as she playfully pushed forced herself into his side to shove him.
"I'm already very loose."
"You're what!" Paul gasped, shocked with her poor choice of words, the girl cringing at herself for walking right into his immature antics.
"Oh my god. YOU KNOW what I meant." She shoved him again as they walked through the halls. Other students catching glimpse of their interaction.
"And what did you mean exactly?" He quirked a brow as she groaned in annoyance. "Oh shut up."
"You're loose? You said?" Paul lightly elbowed Adeline's side as she opened the door to Vettel's empty classroom since he had a preparation period first thing every morning.
The only two bodies sat in the room was himself as he mindlessly nagged at Ollie who clearly seemed to be seeking help on a particular class assignment.
"Shut UP." She huffed in annoyance. "Can you get struck by lightning or something? Like please?" Her statement causing Vettel to glance up.
"Adeline, I thought threatening others before 9:00AM is a habit we'd fix." The older man quirked a brow.
"And I thought we agreed you need to find friends your age." She shot back as Ollie glanced up to laugh along.
"Ah! Don't laugh-You need to focus." He shot a glare at the brunette, pointing down at the computer screen sat in front of him.
"Why so feisty this morning?" Sebastian exhaled through his nose, looking at his former student with a concerned look.
"Nothing-It's fine." She continued to snack on her strawberry croissant, glancing over at Paul who was now standing behind Ollie, looking over his shoulder.
"Paul, what'd you do?" The older man already knew, turning to the blonde at fault.
"Nothing! Adeline's just very loose!" He shrugged knowingly as the girl groaned in annoyance.
"PAUL." She scolded.
"Excuse me?" Vettel glanced at the girl.
"Ending you and your entire bloodline, Aron. I'm counting on it." She spat with subtle rage. Still happily snacking on the croissant he got her.
As her banter with the blonde eased, Ollie's voice broke through the lingering tension. "Who are the flowers for?" he inquired, his gaze flickering between Paul and the bouquet in his hand.
"Special lady?" Vettel smirked.
"Yeaaahh. Vivienne Noble. Do you know her? She's new here." Paul said proudly.
"Oh. The wench?" He quoted what Paul didn't know were Adeline's words. The girl nearly choking on the last bite of her strawberry croissant as that was an unhinged comment from Vettel.
"Erm..." The blonde deadpanned. "I've just heard things." The teacher tried to play it off with a shrug.
"Uh... Adeline can you please help me." Ollie sighed, quickly changing the topic. "Vettel's been useless."
"Oh!" He tilted his head. "Well, after all I do teach environmental science, and not LITERATURE." His tone sassier than ever.
"How are you even struggling? All we do is read." Her mouth slightly filled before she sipped her water to swallow.
"I don't know how to do the analyzing part, it's hard!" He complained. "If you can't even answer the questions, did you even read the book?" Adeline asked.
"Of course not!" Ollie argued.
"THEN READ IT?" She furrowed her eyebrows as the boy groaned in annoyance. Practically complaining like a toddler making the girl shake her head in disbelief. "I don't know how you even made it past year 9." She shook her head in disbelief.
"He copied your work, of course." Paul snickered as Ollie elbowed him in the stomach to shut up.
"No need to keep secrets, I already knew that." Vettel laughed. "It was obvious you all copied her."
