Chapter Two: Tattoo
~Y/n's POV~
My eyes fluttered open, sighing contentedly at how refreshed I felt. The dream was still fresh in my mind and I felt a tender blush appear on my face. It had felt so real.
Ink hadn't woken up yet, but I could see that he too had been blushing in his sleep. I was still engulfed in his warm grasp, and I was starting to get a bit hot. I put a gentle hand on Ink's cheek and he unconsciously leaned into it.
I decided to poke his cheekbone to wake him up, it felt softer than usual. I couldn't help but feel addicted to the feeling of the feel of his skull, it felt so smooth under my fingers. I kept rubbing his cheek, and he stirred a little in his sleep. He muttered something that I couldn't distinguish and I had a feeling that he was awake and just faking his slumber.
A mischievous idea came to my mind, yes that would be perfect. I could just imagine the look on his face. I slowly leaned forward, placing myself right next to where his ear would be if he were human. In the corner of my eye I could see a slight smile on his face, betraying his feigned sleep. I took a deep breath to prepare my voice.
"WAKE UP!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, startling him so much that he toppled off the bed along with the blankets that I was still entangled in. We both fell to the ground, my eyes watered from how much I was laughing.
"Are- Are you okay?" I asked between fits of giggles. He too was chuckling while rubbing the back of his skull where it had hit the ground.
"Yes, but I think you'll need to give me CPR. Just to be sure." He said with a wink at the end. I blushed but complied with his disguised request. I put my lips on his in a kiss, a content sigh escaping both of us. He wrapped his arms around my middle and I placed my hands on his cheekbones. A tingle of electricity seemed to be connecting us by our mouths, preventing us from pulling apart.
Eventually, we did due to hearing a knock on the door. Strange, usually they just bust in rudely. I got off of Ink with a mild blush on my face and let Ink answer the door, due to his blush being at a minimum.
As I rose off of the ground I saw Blueberry zoom around the room and Fell looking annoyed at the doorframe.
"Someone gave him sugar and I ain't dealin' with him." Fell grumbled as Blue tried to tackle me into a hug. I expected this and sat back down on the bed so he wouldn't knock me to the ground. He hugged me way too tightly and I struggled to loosen his grip on me. However, he wouldn't budge and I was left defenseless against the powerful hug. I could've sworn Blue was vibrating in excitement.
Suddenly Blue released me and zoomed around the room once again and bolted out the door giggling madly. Hardly a second later we heard him crash into something, or rather, someone.
"SON OF A BITC-" We heard Poison shriek before getting cut off. Me and Ink rushed to see what had happened while Fell snuck off.
Poison was pinned to the ground by the blue skeleton hugging her almost as tight as me. She was batting his back, trying to get him off, but she seemed not to have the heart to properly hit him. He raced off her and slid down the stairs a bump at a time like it was a playground slide.
I sighed and helped Poison off the ground, she rubbed her head and I noticed something different about her. She was wearing a golden necklace that was in a shape of half a heart. I lifted it up so I could read the engraving inside it but Poison quickly snatched it away with a fiery blush.
"What's that?" I asked her, gesturing to the necklace that was clenched in her fist. She didn't answer but blushed even harder, she quickly walked away back down the nearby staircase.
I glanced at Ink, who had a sympathetic look on his face as he watched Poison go down the stairs.
"What was that about?" I questioned, trying to process and analyze what I had just witnessed. What was she trying to hide? I don't think I've ever seen her blush a single shade of red before but suddenly now she's a cherry?
"I think it's best if she tells you. I don't think it'd be fair to her if I told you." Ink answered, taking my hand in his and walking down the stairs with me. I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and realized how greasy it had become. I paused in my decent and Ink looked back at me with both of his eyes becoming green question marks.
"I really need to shower..." I said, picking up another strand with slight disgust. Ink's expression shifted from confusion to understanding at once and he grinned.
"I could use one too... do you want to do it together?" He asked sheepishly, looking up at me with hearts now present in his eyesockets. My heart thudded at the expression he was giving me and I nodded without even considering my body has probably become unattractive due to the VOID.
With an arm around my shoulder giving me a small squeeze, he led me back up the stairs that we had previously been descending.

I honestly should have expected Ink's body to be slightly altered due to his absorption of Blade's SOUL. But what I didn't expect was his glowing tattoos. When he first took off his shirt I was left absolutely speechless at the beauty painted across his skeletal chest.
They were shining in a variety of warm colors, effortlessly blending into one another. Ink rubbed the back of his neck at my breathless staring and I snapped back into reality.
"They're... absolutely beautiful." I said, my voice soft as I approached him. He smiled warmly at me and shivered slightly when I traced a finger along the edge of a spiral shaped tattoo. I blushed as past memories resurfaced of our first time showering together. It seemed so long ago.
I pecked his cheek and turned around to start the water and get it to the perfect temperature. I could feel his gaze and I was starting to get sweaty, but not from the hot water.

I let out a soft sigh after exiting the shower, all of my muscles were relaxed from the hot water and the massage Ink had given me. My back felt a lot better than before, but still occasionally ached. It would probably take months to get it back to normal.
I wrapped a rather soft towel around me as Ink did the same. My face was incredibly hot despite the shower being a mostly romantic scene. I haven't felt so much love in ages.
Ink had reassured me over and over that my body looked as perfect as when he first saw me. But I couldn't agree with him completely, I had a lot of ugly bruises along my body that had appeared during my stay in the VOID. But Ink had given each one of them a gentle kiss, silently telling me he loved each and every one of them.
Ink suddenly grabbed my hand, making me turn around to look at him. He pulled me into a tight hug and I didn't hesitate to give him an even bigger one. My fingers traced the lightly glowing tattoos again, feeling extremely relaxed once again. But then there was a knock at the door. I sighed and let go of Ink.
"Yeah?" I called out, wondering who would bother us.
"The party is nearly set up and we'd like you to meet somebody. That is, if you're done having your own party in there." I could practically hear Lavender's wink at the end of her sentence. I blushed again, knowing what she was hinting at.
"We'll be out in a minute!" I exclaimed, my face getting hot again as I tightened the towel around my body.
"We~?" Lavender questioned, a lustful lilt to her voice. She giggled at my stammering and I heard her footsteps die away.
"At least one things the same." I muttered.
