"L-Lyra where have you been?" Kai rushes to my side and kneels down, pulling me into his arms as I pant for breath.
"I-I was k-kidnapped." I answer, cluching his clean blazer and burying my face into his chest.
I feel his arms tighten around me as he kisses the top of my head lovingly, causing tears to form in my eyes.
"Who would do this to you?" He whispers, his voice gravelly with emotions.
"Linnate." I state and he stiffens.
"You sure?"
I nodd and slowly start to sob as my adrenaline dissipates.
"Guards!" His voice is loud and clear and I hear the guards stand at attention.
"Arrest Linnate for treason against the crown." I smile, knowing that true justice has been served.
"You can't seriousely take the word of a slave, now can you?" Her haughty voice is loud in this room and I slowly peel myself away from Kai to take off the necklace and hand it to him.
"Y-your necklace?"
"Was a fake, but it still had some usefullness." I state to the bitch and watch as Kai stands slowly, his gaze never leaving mine as he slips the charm into a monitor handed to him by a guard.
For a moment everyhing was silent, then Linnate's image appeared on screen and her voice could be heard through out the throne room.
When the screan went black I smiled sadly and heard the sobs of the old queen as she takes in the adulterous acts her husband commited.
"Linnate, you are sentenced to death for treason and plotting against the crown." Kai says harshly.
"You can't do this to me, you were about to tell everyone that we were getting married!" Linnate screams out as she tries to run forward, only to be stoped by the guards.
"I AM THE FUTURE QUEEN!" she screeches as she is dragged away, the priest and everyone looking both horrified and confused.
A long deep sigh brings my attention to Kai and I smile as he slowly walks towards me.
I carefully stand, taking a few steps before the world began to sway and rhe people infront of me became blurry.
"Lyr-" I didn't hear what else Kai said because the floor came to greet me and the world went black like the screens on the wall.
