Chapter 29
Bets
Peter was astonished as Flynn and Alicia bonded over sweets and treats. The two siblings chattered over the chocolates and baked goods Flynn had displayed on the table. They all sampled the treats and argued over which one was better than the other.
Even Hatter joined in and began to serve tea to go along with all the snacks they had.
Peter rolled his eyes as he sat around boringly.
He continued to watch the siblings flaunt over their food until he suddenly felt a strange presence near the house. His eyes darkened slightly and he felt his skin began to crawl. As nonchalant he could, he stood up and cleared his throat.
"I'm going to get some fresh air. I won't be far," Peter whispered into Alicia's ear. The princess nodded and smiled brightly at Pan, her mouth full of sweets.
Peter quickly kissed the top of Alicia's head before stepping out. Peter could feel his skin burning with anticipation. The strange eerie magic that neared the Hatter's property was one he knew too well.
He made his way into the forest, where he felt the energy coming from. As he walked, the sky darkened and rain began to fall. He rolled his eyes but continued his mission.
The deeper he went into the forest, the harder the rain fell. But he soon felt a break in the water when he came to a clearing. The rain stopped instantly and Peter shoved his hands into his pockets.
He didn't expect a person to be waiting there. He especially didn't expect her. But nonetheless, she was there and Pan was furious. He tried his best not to show his anger, but he was never one to be calm.
"Peter Pan," the lady croaked. The boy hissed at her.
"And here I thought you were dead somewhere six feet under," he snapped. The lady took no offense and instead chuckled bitterly.
"And I was expecting someone else to come. And yet here you are," she said. Peter scowled.
"You were waiting for Flynn Rider, weren't you?" He asked, already knowing the answer to that. The lady chuckled.
"I heard even his twin is in there. All I wanted was to introduce myself to was sweet grandchildren," she said. Her voice was as calm as ever but Peter knew better. This woman was nothing but evil.
"You're here to take her away from me," he gritted his teeth with a growl.
"Dearest Pan, I don't need to forcibly drag her away from you. She'll do that all on her own once she finds out the truth. Besides, all you have her for is a trophy. You don't really care for her."
"For your information, I actually do like her and I will keep her away from you, " Pan hissed. He didn't even process his words until they were said but he realized he was right. He did like Alicia to an extent. Sure, she was annoying, but he started to like her whines and complaints.
"You and I both know you would do anything for power. Even just a drop of it. This idea of yourself with my granddaughter will soon fade, and you will crumble," she said confidently, "and when she finds out you know who her true parents are, the illusion will diminish, and I will be there to pick up the pieces."
Pan began to see red. His eye twitched uncontrollably and the weather around hen began to worsen.
"Consider my words, Pan: One day you will fail... And I can't wait to witness your fall."
"I'll be waiting then," Pam snarked before he turned his back to the women and walked back to the house. He nearly lost his mind when he heard her call out,
"Tell my grandchildren I'll see them soon."

When Peter returned to the house, he found the kitchen empty of the twins and no Hatter. He sighed and walked upstairs to his room. When he entered, he found Alicia napping. Her legs were hitched up, the blanket was drooping off her body, and her snoring filled the room. He smiled softly at her but his lips dropped when she suddenly snorted and snored even louder.
Pan rolled his eyes before stripping himself of his shirt and laying down next to the princess.
With a quick kiss to her forehead, Pan turned his back to her and tried his best to fall asleep.
But the lingering thought of the twin's grandmother continued to haunt him.
...
When Alicia woke from her nap, she grew confused as to why Pan was in the same bed as her. She scrunched her face and was about to beat the holy fudge out of him, but stopped herself when she looked down to his face.
For once, Ali got a really good look at Peter. She stared at him for five minutes before scoffing.
She wasn't sure why, but her stomach began to churn. The more she looked at him, the more her stomach gathered butterflies. She placed her hands on her cheeks when they began to heat up.
"Great. His face is so gross, it's even making me sick," she whispered to herself. She was about to jump out of bed when she heard Peter rustling the blankets. She glanced down at him and frowned when he was peeking up at her.
"Is there a reason why you are in my bed?" She snapped.
"It's more comfortable than the couch," he responded calmly before closing his eyes again. Alicia sighed and threw herself next to him.
"What are you thinking about?" Pan whispered. Alicia hummed.
"My parents, I guess. I'm a little disappointed Flynn didn't know anything them," she mumbled.
"How unfortunate," Peter mumbled. His eyes were still closed as Ali turned to face him.
"Did you know your face is so ugly it makes my stomach hurt?"
Pan scoffed
"The only thing making your stomach hurt are all the sweets you and your brother ate yesterday."
Alicia chuckled and suddenly pinched Peter. The boy yelped and glared at the princess. She stuck her tongue out and nudged his side.
"Let's play a game," she suddenly said. Peter raised an eyebrow at her but went along.
"Alright, fine. What kind of game?"
"The kind where I kick your butt. Arm wrestling contest," Alicia said and proudly sat up to show Pan her nonexistent muscles.
"I can take you down in one go!" She exclaimed but the boy only laughed loudly.
"This is a joke, right?"
"Are you mocking me?" She demanded, shaking Pan by his shoulders. He pushed her off him and poked her side.
"Fine. I'll play your childish games. But if I win, I want something of yours," Pan said with a smirk. Alicia scrunched her face as she thought the downside to placing bets with Pan.
"As long as you don't make me strip naked, I agree to your conditions," she said.
"What about if I win?" She then questioned.
"I'll give you all the sweets you could ever ask for."
The bet was on.

Alicia wanted to punch the pretty right off of Peter Pan.
She didn't expect the boy to be so strong and she regretted ever thinking she could beat him in a physical contest. After he defeated her in less than a minute, Alicia demanded best out of three.
And Peter still won.
He smirked at her while she stewed in her failure.
"I hate you."
"I know. As for the bet..." Peter muttered cockily. Alicia frowned.
"Fine. What do you want?"
"Close your eyes."
Alicia scrunched her face. She looked Pan up and down once before rolling her eyes and doing as she was told. The room was silent for a moment before she spoke up again.
"If I open my eyes and your bare ass is in my face again, I swear, Peter, I will stab you-"
Alicia never got to finish her threat. Her eyes shot wide open when she felt something press up against her lips. She found Peter kissing her as tenderly as he could.
But all the princess could think about is how soft his lips were...
And how he had the audacity to steal one of her precious kisses.
