PERSONALITY
Daiki is... a piece of work. Chronically bored and hating it, he tends towards destruction—self-destruction, breaking things, or tearing people down—as a way to stop himself from being bored. Oh, and he apparently has some kind trauma around being "good enough". To be honest, when it comes down to it, Daiki is a pretty easygoing guy, and loves to learn new things. He's working on his issues. Promise.

BACKGROUND

Daiki is the youngest of three kids, and boy does it show. His childhood was normal, though Daiki spent most of it bothering his older siblings and, in the words of his sister, being an attention whore. He took up dancing in grade 3, and took to it well, especially as dance gave him the chance to have all eyes on him and not be bored to death. Yeah, the hatred of boredom has been with him the whole time.
Despite all attempts otherwise, Daiki was determined to keep performing. It was his idea to drop out of high school at fifteen, which his parents didn't even notice for like, two months. After that, he made a nuisance of himself until his mom agreed to relocate to Seoul with him, where he joined a dance crew. After a few years of that, Daiki got scouted to be a backup dancer for a couple entertainment companies, bouncing from company to company for the most part.
His mom returned to Tokyo last year, figuring Daiki was okay on his own (he is. mostly). In the last few months, Daiki was picked up by HQ as a backup dancer for Seraph, then one of their boy groups, until finally the dance mentors wore him down enough to convince him to audition—especially considering the fact that Daiki can fucking sing???? Where was he hiding that???

listen, daiki expected many things when he joined hq, but a boyfriend was not one of them. hell, he thought he was fully aromantic, considering he'd never had any reaction to the idea of dating besides "ew" before, with anyone. but sunny was different. right from the start, daiki felt comfortable with sunny, like he could tell him anything and sunny wouldn't judge him or run away from him. it... unlocked something within daiki that he hadn't noticed was hidden away, and now he can't imagine being parted from sunny, ever.
