The girl entered the classroom and looked around her. This was first day of her new school. she waited for the teacher to notice as she hovered on the edge of the class door. After few minutes some kids saw her and started staring. This made the teacher look toward the door too. she gestured for the girl to come in the room. 

The girl slowly walked inside and went toward the teacher. 

The teacher looked her upside down and said,'' You are the new transfer student?''

The girl nodded. She felt scared of the new environment, new people and this unfriendly teacher. 

The teacher asked her name.

The girl looked at her and then said quietly,'' Samantha.''

The teacher nodded and looked at the class and said loudly,'' welcome the new student everyone. Be nice with her.''

One of the boy on the left table gave the new girl a friendly smile. she nervously smiled back. 

Teacher carried on saying,''Her parents shifted in this area recently. So, she had to change her school during mid year but I am sure she will catch up. Right Amara?''

Samantha frowned and looked up at her,'' My name is Samantha.'' She said slowly but firmly.

Teacher,'' Of course, I know your name. It's Amara.'' 

The girl frowned but decided not to argue. The boy who had smiled at her shifted things on his table, so she could sit next to him on the empty chair.

Samantha walked forward and sat down next to him.

The boy,'' Hi, don't worry she is a moron. she gets all student's names mixed up.''

Samantha nodded,'' what's her name?''

The boy,'' Amara.''

Samantha frowned. 

The boy,'' Anyways,'' I am Richard.''

Samantha nodded her mind still on teacher.

The boy,'' don't worry, I will never forget your name Richard.''

Samantha who was listening quickly looked up at him,'' Richard?'' What was wrong with this place? She was a girl and her name was Samantha. she decided to change her seat at first chance.
