No POV

Somewhere in a massive Megacity, an android woman and several armed soldiers are walking down a hall of an apartment complex.

Any one that sees them goes back inside their rooms and locks their doors. The android and the soldiers stop at an apartment and she presses a button. A man is sitting in a chair gets an alert on the terminal in front of him. He checks the cameras and sees the woman on the feeds.

???: 'Cibo?!'

Cibo: Johnny Bolt, open up. I know you're in there. And I know you have the child. 

Johnny looks at a cradle on his side.

Cibo: You have 10 seconds to open the door.

Johnny gets out of the chair and goes to the front door and opens it just as Cibo reaches one.

Cibo: Now then. Will you allow me to talk with you for a few minutes? 

Johnny nods and sits down on the couch oppoite of the one Cibo is on. One of the soldiers put down a tablet that shows footage of Johnny talking with a woman from time to time. There was even footage showing him helping her get to a hospital. Footage a massive attack shows with the woman shielding her baby from an explosion. It also shows of her speaking with with Johnny before handing him the baby she was holding.

Cibo: The attack on District 4 has led to one of my subordinates dying. Although I only found out she was one of them after me and my team have spent months trying to find her. You then took the boy and came all the way here. You had something for her, correct.

Johnny didn't say anything for a minute before finally speaking.

Johnny: She... She saw something in me. Something even I didn't know existed. I wanted to repay her. I couldn't just leave her son to die.

Cibo: ...Can I see him?

Johnny looks at Cibo for a minute is shock, but nods. Cibo gets up and goes to the room Johnny was previously in. She sees the cradle and sees a baby sleeping peacefully in it. She reaches her arms out and Johnny tries to move, but the soliders aim their guns on him. Cibo wraps the baby in a blanket and gently picks him up before cradling him in her arms. She walks out of the room and looks at the baby before turning her attention to Johnny.

Cibo: Johnny Bolt. Did you have any actual plan for this child? You are designated a Super Villain. Are you willing to become a regular citizen. Even so, do you have anyone who can help you with this? Are you willing to potentially let this boy become a priah for being raised by a villain?

Johnny: I just wanted to do one thing right at least.

Cibo: Then this can be one.

Johnny looks at Cibo in confusion of her words.

Cibo: That woman was one of my best. And the one she met before seemed to have also been special to her. I've been studying both that man's species.

Johnny: Species? You mean?

Cibo: I think I'd be the best choice for this child. I don't mean to be disrepectful when I say, I'm the closest thing to a real mother he'll have at this point. I'll make sure to raise him properly. DO you think you can live with that?

Johnny is hesitant to leave the baby, but knows that this may be the only way the child can have a proper life. It's better than ending up in villainy due to any action he might take.

Johnny: Please... Take care of him.

Cibo: I will.

Cibo then grabs a card and gives it to Johnny.

Cibo: Untraceable, tax-free. Don't blow it in a week.

Johnny: Thank you. What if he develops a power?

Cibo: If he does then I'll figure something out. Don't worry. Try not to get yourself killed. 

Cibo and the soldiers walk out of the apartment and Johnny is left alone. He then get a call on his phone from someone named Kasey. He answers it and talks.

Johnny: Kasey?

Kasey: Hey Johnny. How's it going?

Johnny: Uh... A lot happened.

Kasey: You and me both. Well, any chance you could leave MegaCity 2 for a bit and get your ass back to San Francisco? I need your help for a job.

Johnny: Yeah. I think I could go back home for a while.

Kasey: Okay. And Johnny, there's something else I need to tell you, but in person.

Johnny: Oh, uh, sure. I'll be back ASAP. Just keep in mind, it's gonna be a bitch getting out of the MegaCities just as much as it is to get in them.

Kasey: *chuckle*, I know. See ya soon.

In the hallway, Cibo is still walking with the soldiers while holding the baby in her arms. She begins to admire how peaceful the child looks.

Cibo: Hello. My name is Cibo. I'm your mother. And from this point on, we're a family.
