Mohit's pov

"Yeah mom...Hmm...Okay...uh..I'll be a little late. You don't wait for me. Okay? Bye." I hanged up the call after talking to mom.

"Mr. Mohit?" A voice called.

"Yes Doctor...how's she?? Nothing serious right??"

"No...everything is fine as of now...but to be on a safer side I have run some necessary tests. The reports will be out in a few hours."

"Oh okay.." I Said and the doctor left.

She hasn't gain her consciousness yet. It's been 3 hours since then. But still her face is lingering before my eyes...those empty eyes, those tears, that hurt on her face, that longing in her words....all those things she was hiding under her fake and forced smile......
There was so much buried deep within her heart.

The pain and sorrow of being away from your soulmate, your love........is something I have never experienced but seeing her, my heart broke into million pieces.

And Ansh, that little kid...he was so worried seeing his mother like that. Yet That 5 year old guy behaved so mature, so calm. Not a single tear dropped from his eyes.

"Buddy??" I turned towards the voice and Ansh was standing there with a cup in his hand.

"Champ...what are you doing here? I told you to wait with Anu didi right??"

"Offo!! You big people are so stupid. I was with her only. I bought this for you...." he said forwarding the cup to me. It was a cup of tea.

"Ansh....you..are..here...(huff)" Anu came running to us.

"Bhai...you know he went somewhere without telling me...and see he's here...." she said glaring him.

"Ansh..." I said sternly.

"Mr. Mohit, your patient has wake up." The nurse informed.

We all three entered in her room. Ansh ran to her and climbed on the bed.

"Mommy...how are you? Are you hurt? Are you hungry? Should I bring food for you? Will you have juice? Why are you not saying anything??" He kept on blabbering sitting on her lap.

"Take a breath champ. And let your mommy speak." I Said.

Ruhi looked at me.

"How are you feeling now?" I asked her.

"Better. Thank you and sorry." She smiled slightly.

"Why?" I frowned.

"Thank you for taking care of me, and sorry for troubling you." She said guiltily.

"Oh c'mon di...it was his pleasure. Right bhai??" Anu Said and have me teasing smile.

Ruhi looked confused, so I cleared her unasked question, "she's my sister Anusha."

"But you can call me Anu." She squealed loudly making all of us laugh.

"Thank you so much Mohit..."

"Ruhi, I Said na...it was nothing. We are friends and I don't need any thank you for helping my friend." I Said to her.

I helped her out of the car and picked up Ansh in my arms.

"Let me drop you by the door." I Said.

"No That's okay..." She said quickly but stopped looking my glare.

"Take care of your health Ruhi...and champ, see to it that your mommy eat her food properly and if not you know my number." I Said and hi fived him.

"Mohit, I don't know how to apologise to you for all this...." she said.

"You want to apologise...so do one thing." I Said and she nodded her head in acceptance.

"How about a lunch or dinner, tomorrow??" I asked.

"Uh...Uhm...But..."

"Please ??"

"But Ansh??"

"He will come with us....you thought I would leave my best friend alone.." I narrowed my eyes.

"Uh no...not like that...o..okay...then we could go for a dinner."

"Done. I'd call you or message about the time. Fine with you?"

"Yeah..no problem."

"Okay then...bye??"

"Bye.."

"Bye..take care."

I went to the car and sat on the passenger seat.

"What is that stupid smile on your face?" Anu asked.

"Huh?" I turned to her and she adjusted the rear view mirror to my face. And there was a huge ear to ear grin on my face.

"What happened that you are smiling soooo much..." she asked wiggling her eyebrows in a teasing way.

"Nothing happened."

"So why it took you so long??"

"Are you planning to change your career??" I asked her.

"Why?"

"No, you are asking so many questions...so I thought that may be your planning to be a lawyer or something." I Said holding my laugh.

"What bhai..." she whined and hit my arm.

"I was just trying to tease you, like you do to me and Siddhu..." She scowled and pouted.

"Yeah, because you and him are a 'thing' but we are not...so no point of teasing me." I Said as a matter of fact.

"Yeah yeah, anything that keeps you at peace...." she said and I could sense her rolling her eyes.

"What do you mean??"

"Samjhdar ko ishara kafi hai...." she said and turned her attention to the outside.
