My Stories in Private Setting

I've been receiving some PMs why I put my stories on private. Some asked if I could could just put them back to public.

Here's why.

Someone I know told me that I should enhance my hobby and make it a craft so I could earn from it. Meaning, the advice was to review, revise and edit my stories. PUBLISH!

Then I read from a socmed blogger : Do not give your talent and skills free of charge. That makes you cheap.

But then again, I'm lazy at editing as it consumes a lot of time. Spending time on revising/editing means I'm letting opportunities go to write more ideas running in my mind. I tend to forget those spur of the moment ideas.

I'm busy with work and my personal life, too. Hence, I do not have all the time in the world.

Also, as much as possible, I want my stories free to read.

I used to be a fan of paperback Filipino novels. But I stopped buying when I discovered ebooks/WattPad. My reason, why waste paper and cut down trees when I can read online?

So, I came up with an idea. Not because my stories are free for reads, I'm cheap. But making them exclusive to those who would really appreciate and follow me in WattPad give me a sense that I get to get halfway of the influences/considerations I mentioned above.

I'm not famous and I don't intend to be one.

I have thought of publishing, of course. I want to self-publish just one copy, my personal copy, if there is such. Haha! Then, it came to another level... to prove something to myself. Thing is, I started telling stories with a different goal.

Again, writing stories is my hobby to express my ideas and inner me....as a stress reliever. Now becoming a passion.

That's why, publishing is not a top priority now. But I know,  it will be. Just not now.

Ten or twenty appreciative readers would be good enough for me. A few people I can exchange my thoughts and out of the world jokes, because they get to relate to my stories (and my personality) and be friends with even in this dummy/virtual world... I'm already satisfied.
