Chapter 4: You gotta have the will!
Anticipation was high, tomorrow was going to be the day the pureblood awoke but the fiasco that happened last night made the doctor's rethink what they were going to do. She wasn't stable enough yet their was no way she could go out their and fight. The head doctor nibbled on his lower lip thinking desperately of a way to change the president of the Vampire Hunter association's mind about waking her up. The large metal doors opened with a puff of air and the head walked in "have you got my dosage?" she asked, the doctor nodded handing her a larger vile of blood then last time. Grinning in an animalistic manner she downed in wiping the access off with her finger and sucking on it "tomorrow is a big day~" she chimed "ma'am if i may, you were informed of what happened last night right?" he asked "last night? No, what happened?" she asked intrigued.
The doctor gulped losening his tie and undoing the first button on his shirt to provide more air to breathe "we lost her for a little while, if we didn't have the defibrilltor on hand then she would've died" he explained, the head's eyes widened slightly "i see...this changes things, do what you can to make sure she wakes up tomorrow" she ordered "but ma'am, even if she does wake up she won't be able to fight she's far to weak. If you could give me more time to just-" "what? To do what? Why do you care so much for this girl?" the head asked stepping closer with a menacing look on her face "i-i..." he stuttered my furrowed his brows in determination "with all due respect ma'am, i am a doctor and all doctors care for their patients so if you would please back off and let me do my job then things would go faster" he spoke with slight venom lacedin his words.
The head stumbled back surprised at the man's sudden confidence but that surpirse was short lived and soon turned to anger "you better watch what you say, i could have your job taken away from you" she warned "ma'am we all know you need us here but if you do that then we're leaving" another doctor spoke up "all of us" the rest finished leaving the head of the vampire hunter's in shock " and if that happens, even if you do find other doctors in time we'll be taking the patients with us to a place they'd be safe...from you" the head doctor hissed. Huffing the mean woman turned around and stalked right out, laughing the doctors gave each other a pat on the back and continued on with their work but little did the grumpy woman know it was not what she ordered them to do, in fact it was the opposite. Though they knew it was wrong they were trying to prolong the coma like state so the missed the deadline and the head of the vampire hunter's association would be forced to give up and leave everything as it is, in balance.
~Elsewhere~
It was foggy, almost cliche if you thought about it. A foggy night at a cemetary large eyes looking at you through the darkness which just happened to be cats and owls. Two rivals made there way to a paticular grave no longer did they have the will nor the energy to fight. Ever since the death of a certain someone neither had been sleeping or eating, both of them fit and lean became frail and extrememely pale. Almost like corpses walking around i guess some would they are as they are vampires, they kneeles in front of the grave sad smiles present on their faces. They both lifted a hand and stroked the grave stone tenderly as if imagining it was the face of their beloved but they knew that it was just a hopeless dream, an illusion that they would see her walk through the halls of cross academy like nothing had ever happened.
Grazing over the name encarved on the stone with theirb thumbs their flesh met and in any other situation they would've glared at each other but they could only sigh "you should eat something Zero, you look awful" the brown haired male chuckled "speak for yourself, Kuran" Zero replied sighing, referring to the taller man using his last name just like old times. Shaking their heads they stood up rushing stray mud from their knees sent one last longing look at the grave beore heading off on their not so merry way. Gloom was all that hang over anyone the recently departed (Y/N) had met, even those who had hated her missed her she just had that effect on people. Things were gettign old for those who didn't know, the ever growing sadness as more time without said girl went on. They would see these depressed people and simply shook their heads with a frown and walked away too afriad to confront them but who wouldn't be they were walking with a dark cloud over their head all the time it was hard not to feel intimidated.
You could as kindly and smile but they won't be able to control, when they see a girl with (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes that may not even look like (Y/N) they break down making them seem either crazy in some sense pathetic. They knew...of course they knew that (Y/N) wouldn't want to see them like this but they couldn't help it, they would kneel on the floor leaning forward a hand over their chest to soemhow ease the pain. With trembling lips and a lump in their throat so large it hurt, they would sob causing them to sob harder knwing how utterly weak they looked but did the waterworks stop? Never...they would never stop unless she came back but what was the likliness of that, they saw her in that coffin. And they saw that coffin go in the ground so she had to be dead, they had witnessed her death and it was forever carved into their memory like a suitcase you can never leave behind.
A tattoo it was forever upon them and laser surgery wouldn't work on this, everytime they closed their eyes the image of that sad smile and the tears falling down her cold face as she went limp was bruned into them like a scar that would never heal...it just kept bleeding. And it would keep bleeding until they have no blood left, no tears, no happiness, no purpose, no meaning, they would keep breaking until their was nothing left not even atoms. Aido had, had a short fling with a girl after (Y/N) had passed brut broke it off unable to bear the guilt he felt for dating so soon but could he help it. Everytime he had looked at that girl he saw (Y/N) which made him hurt even worse. Takuma, usually smiling all the time was hardly ever seen he was always locked up in his room. Shiki didn't have much a choice he had to leave for photo shoots but the photographers made him take a break.
His sking wasn't as healthy, he was more boney and even though he never smiled Shiki just seemed more depressing then usual. Zero was far more irritable, if you walk up to him her would yell at you to go away and leave him alone, often seen crying but always denying it. Kaname, the usually charming and heart throb of a vampire would only sit in his big chair looking out the window holding an item of (Y/N)'s clothing and breathing in her dear scent. In fact all of them had something of her's whether it was clothing, a peice of paper she had written on or whatever! Yuki had lost all will to do anything, not get up, go to school or even move in the mornings. And finally Kaien, he was sad...not happy-go-lucky as usual, a serious or expressionless look on his face. things weren't the same...not without her. Not without (Y/N).
