II: Trust Knows No Bounds
You woke up the next day feeling energized and ready for what this world had for you. I should start by getting food, you thought and stood up, stretching and yawning before spreading your wings and taking off in search of food. Finally, you came to a pond and could hear the bubble breath of fish and your mouth water.
Fish, my favorite, you thought with a smirk and dove down, snatching the unexpecting fish out of the water before tossing it to the shore and doing the same maneuver over and over again until you had at least 10-20 fish. Finally, you landed, panting a bit before shaking your head, Odin, I need to up my physical health. Pew!
You shook your head before digging into the fish. Your ears flinched as they picked up the sound of birds and other creatures living in this forest and the distant thundering of tiny smoke monsters. You had never seen those kids before, but here they were everywhere, so you didnt think much of it.
Soon your stomach was full, and you yawned once more before stretching and looking around. I should look around at the city and, pherpash, find that green head again, you thought and nodded to yourself, yes, I'll do that. And you smiled when you took off into the painting sky colors of orange-red and pink spread across in heavy paintworks. It reminded you of the sunset above the Waterfall at home; it seemed most beautiful and had a sure deja vu.
You flew over the city, being invisible, of course. You saw humans, smoke beasts, and more. But that's when you noticed a stretch of sand and a glittery blue ocean. Finally, I've missed the sea, you thought and smiled before angling your wings and heading that way. When you came close enough, you could see something familiar, and your ear plates perked up. It is that green boy again! You thought with a happy feeling in your chest.
But who is that with him? a skinny man? Huh, I guess people are different. So you thought with a shrug and circled over them. You could hear their voices and grow curious. "If you could move it even a little, it would be a little easier." the man says, and the green-haired boy smiles. "Ugh... Well yeah, I mean, you weigh 274 kilograms, right?" you wince; poor boy, why must he pull weight like that?
"No, I lost weight, so I'm only 255 kilograms now in this form." you roll your eyes, how is that less?
You soon notice that your cloak of invisibility is leaving, and you start to panic, oh! Already?! I didn't want to go, but I guess I have to. Hmm, I hope this happens more. It is pretty generating to watch humans train...
And you flew off, leaving All Might and Izuku a the beach, both not knowing of your presence.
◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥
The following days you always went to the beach after breakfast and morning clean to watch the young boy training.
The more you watched them, the more you saw the spark you'd seen before, the one who was in yourself. Today you had decided you would be meeting him and saying hi. He now had a chance to earn your trust, and that was something humans rarely did. Hiccup and his friends, too, but that was another story. You flew high up in the sky, following the young Izuku home invisible. At night I will scout around his house, and maybe he'll come out if I make enough sound, you thought and smirked before stirring your wings towards the little forest by his home.
Once you landed, you turned off your invisibility and started to roam around, sniffing and scenting the tres. They had different smells than the ones you were in as a momentary nest. These smelled of humans and food. Well, human food.
You shook your head, flaring your tail fins and ear appendages before sneaking clear to the young hero's home. This is easy, you thought with a smirk and stopped by the wall of his house near his window. You then started to scratch the house wall making an uncomfortable sound with your sharp claws. It even made you wince; if it did, you were sure Deku would hear it. A few minutes later, your theory had been proven suitable for the green-haired boy who came out looking confused and tired. Oh, poor champ, I shouldn't be doing this, but it is time we make friends, you thought and sighed before stopping to scratch the wall and snuck in on him, your eyes alight.
"huh? I'm sure I heard something," he mumbles and shrugs before turning to walk back inside, but he stops short as he sees you staring at him. His face pales, and as you turn visible slowly, unitedly having turned invisible, his expression fires up again. "ah! You're the dragon hero! He calls out, eyes wide as a plate. You flick your ear apendgede and tilt your head. You can understand him, but you cannot talk, so you have to have a way to communicate. "ah, you can't understand, right?" you growl, and Izuku pales. "Okay, okay! I guess you can... now how can we communicate..."
He's taking this a lot better than I thought, you thought, gurgling before you dug your claw into the ground, writing something. Deku sees it and grows curious, walking over to you to know what you're writing. "Do... not .... fear... me?" he asks, reading the thing you write in the mud out loud. He looks at you and nods. You smile a gummy smile. "well, I think I can, but I need to know how you are?" he says, getting thoughtful. A sudden glow embraces you, and Izuku looks away, shielding his eyes.
When the glow has dimmed, he looks at you and gasps. "I'm a friend," you say, smiling at him before looking at yourself. Oh, right, I forgot Toothless said this was a more approachable form instead of my dragon. Eh, will remember it, you thought before looking back at Midoriya with a small smile. "y- ah..." his cheeks redden. You laugh "what's wrong, Brockley boy?" his cheeks flare up even more, and you chuckle, reaching out a hand. "I've seen humans do this when they meet. Let me introduce myself. I'm Y/N Queen of the Hidden World," you say, and Midoriya looks at you with wide eyes and his cheeks still tinted red.
He knew you were a dragon but that you were a girl was something he was not prepared for. "uh, I-I'm Izuku Midoriya b-but my friends call me... uh D-Deku," he stammers. You smile, taking his hand and shaking it "a pleasure meeting you, Izuku Midoriya. I feel we will be friends," and Izuku blushes again before nodding, "y-yes... maybe."
And that is how your friendship started. Weird, I guess but isn't all friendships that?
