ZACH'S POV

"MINE"

That's the only word that I could say after I saw her stand so close to that Jake guy. I have heard rumors going around in the office that she and Jake are apparently 'dating' and honestly, it kills me to hear that.

And now she is whispering in his ears? No, absolutely not. Well, that was the last thought I had before I jumped in and practically shouted that word and I didn't care if the entire office heard me.

"Whoa dude, she is all yours don't worry man," Jake said and raised his hands as if he was surrendering but you could see the smirk on his face. "Anyway I gotta go, Anna, we still have to meet at 8, see you then."

And with that, he was gone and I was left with a smirking woman beside me.

Why do they have to meet at 8? Are they going on a date? I thought.

"No it's not a date and yes you spoke out loud. It's a business meeting and we have to be there to deal with it." Anna said and looked at the spot where I still held her hand.

I immediately removed my hand not because her touch was burning or anything because my phone started ringing and it broke the trance I was in.

I gave her a guilty look because I did not want to leave her office but I had to because it was my mother calling and it might be an important call.

"Answer your phone, Mr. Knightley, we can perhaps schedule a meeting later." She winked at me and went back to her seat.

I gave her one last look and went out of her room and received the call,

"ZACHARY SIN KNIGHTLEY. DO YOU HAVE VOMIT STAIN ON YOUR SUIT?! YOU THOUGHT I WOULDN'T KNOW HUH! I TOLD YOU SO! HA!" And if I didn't know her any better, she must be dancing in the kitchen holding the baby and voila I am proven right when I hear 'Cheap Thrills' playing in the background.

And you know the worst part is? I can hear Alaia laughing in the background, Wow my baby is having a dance party without me.

I shook my head chuckling and went to my cabin to do my work. The day went on and nothing special happened for the rest of the day, except if you count an almost start of a food fight in the restaurant I and my friends like to visit during our lunch, it was a normal day.

Except what happened in the morning, I thought.

I reach my cabin and see all my friends sitting there and there is a pin drop silence. I see Matt standing at a corner with his arms crossed, Aria sitting cross-legged checking her watch, and Nate standing behind Aria and looking at me very creepily if I may add.

"Where were you since the last 30 minutes Zach?" I hear Aria ask me as she is taking a sip of her black coffee. "It's not like you to come late to the office." And with that, she walks slowly towards me.

What's with all the women walking slowly today? I thought and I blushed thinking about my adventure with Anna.

"Is that a blush we see because of Miss Anna? What do you think Nate? Should we torture him for answers or do you think he would willingly answer us?" Matt, the not so violent guy asked me.

"Guys calm down, there is absolutely no need for violence, I'll tell you everything." With that I told them everything that happened with me minus the part where I froze, don't want my friends to interrogate me again.

And what would you know, it's like a switch had been flipped. They all came rushing towards me, hugged me, and started discussing the color of the flowers which will be used on my wedding day.

Well, my friends are something, but I love them. And did they say a wedding, well that led to another discussion.

When the clock struck 6 pm, it was finally time to go back home. I stood outside the office building and then I realized I forgot that my car is in the repair shop and I have to find a lift home. And just my luck, it started raining, not cliché at all.

I turn around to see if my friends are still here but I see nothing, looks like I have to take a cab.

"Get in the car Zach, you are soaking wet." I see a black Mercedes in front of me in the driver's seat is Anna looking all worried but even after a long day, she looks pretty.

Is she worried about me?

"Get in the car right now Zach, stop daydreaming or else you will get sick," She said and I immediately entered her car.

"Hey, Anna or should I call you ma'am? Also thank you for giving me a ride." I said and looked around the car, and everything looks so clean and her car smells like lavender.

She turns on the heater and adjusts the settings and I can see her worrying, and this makes me a tad bit sad knowing that I am troubling her when she should be getting ready for her date.

"What were you thinking of standing in the rain?! You could have gotten sick, where is your car?! And what were you doing at the office anyway, everyone went home already, I gave them an early leave today." She kept rambling and she looked angry.

"I am sorry I forgot I didn't bring my car today and I stayed late because I had some work left to do." I looked down and trust me when I say I felt like I was getting scolded by my mom but this one was much worse because I didn't want Anna to be disappointed in me.

"Next time just call me okay?! I don't want something happening to you, am I clear?" She asked and started driving.

As much as I tried to not let her words affect me, I couldn't help but smile and looked out.

"Oh don't look so smug, you already know I'll do anything for you." She looked at me as if warning me that I shouldn't do anything more or else she would punish me.

Hehe, I wonder what punishment she would give, I thought.

"Trust me you don't want me to stop the car right now and punish you. Don't tempt me." I looked at her and saw her already looking at me.

I blushed and looked anywhere but into her eyes.

"As much as I want to kiss you right now, I won't. First I need to take you to my place so that you change your clothes and have some soup and then I'll drive you back to your house." Anna said.

"You can just take me back home, I don't want to trouble you and also you have a date at 8," I muttered quietly.

"I already told you that it's not a date, it's a business meeting. But alright I'll take you to your house, because I know you will feel better around your daughter." I looked at her and smiled.

Then I see Anna reaching the radio and turned towards me,

"You can play something if you want to." And she doesn't have to tell me twice.

After ten minutes of me trying to sing and Anna desperately trying not to laugh, we reach our destination and I see Anna park in front of my home and swiftly remove her seatbelt and come to my side of the door.

"Let's go, you must change into some warm clothes and in the meantime, I'll make you some soup." I get out of the door but not before awkwardly forgetting to remove my seatbelt. I jerk forward in a manner that I rather not mention.

"Hurry up Zack, wait what happened to you?" Anna crouches near me and I see her chuckle softly, "Only you can get stuck in a situation like this." And with that, she moves towards me and reaches the seatbelt and swiftly presses the button so that the seatbelt is removed.

When I notice our position, it's already too late, I started leaning towards her when I hear a shout coming from the main door,

"ZACHARY SIN KNIGHTLEY! IS THAT HOW YOU TREAT A LADY?! YOU TRY TO KISS HER IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE WHEN YOU KNOW IT'S RAINING AND THE POOR GIRL WILL GET SICK! COME INSIDE RIGHT NOW!"

If you hadn't guessed it already it was my mother shouting at me and yes she loves to use my full name because it shows that she is serious and I am in trouble according to her. Psst as if I am scared of my mother.

"ZACHARY SIN KNIGHTLEY ARE YOU COMING IN OR SHOULD I BRING MY BASEBALL BAT I JUST MYSTERIOUSLY HAVE IN MY HAND?"

And that ladies and gentlemen is my lovely mother who I love dearly and did I say I am not scared of her? I was kidding obviously.

I hear a chuckle in front of my face and realize that Anna is still crouching in front of me and stands up and extended her hand,

"We don't want your mother to kill you now can we?"

And with that, I take her hand and stand up and walk towards the door and this whole time she never left my hand. Wait aren't the roles supposed to be reversed? Meh, I like this version better.
