Life comes with different expectations, once you considered having something. Life decided to offer you something else. Will you just walk away from it or learn to live with.

I choose to live with it and tell life that no matter the obstacles it has brought to challenge me. I will overcome it. Waking up I saw my step sister or should I just call her sister, already up smiling at me like a fool.

Gosh! Why does she have to come into my life? Maybe, I should just learn how to live with her. It's not that bad to have someone called your sister, is it?

I smiled back at her before she attacked me with a hug. Maybe she was glad I smiled at her or something.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you" she had stopped hugging me, but she was shaking my hands seriously. I am confused my eyebrows raises in a funny manner.

"Thank you For what ?" I was searching her face for an answer and for the first time I observed how beautiful she was. Still sitting on the bed, she crossed her thin legs together, her skin was pale or somehow white. So she was fair like a half-caste if dad hasn't told me she was my sister. I would thought she really was a half-caste. Her eye was a deep blue, with a long black hair. I envy that hair.

"Thank you for accepting me as your sister, I thought you were angry yesterday. That you won't accept me as one of you guys" her voice was sad as she said it.
It was getting awkward so I decided to change the topic.

"So, what's school do you attend?" I asked her. I was getting to know my sister. I never knew she thought I won't accept her. I felt guilty but you can't blame me. She is half a stranger, half my blood to me.

"Presently, I'm not attending any school. Dad said he would enrol me in your school." She was smiling.

I guess that's not bad. If she was in my school I would have someone to look after. Ain't I just cute.

"Okay, no problem," I said while standing up. "I am getting late for school. See you at school." I walked away to prepare for school.

The school was fun, I ignored Drey as if nothing happened yesterday night. I was trying hard not to think about it. I mean it will be embarrassing because I want nothing to do with him.

During lunch I met Maria, she hurriedly hugged me. I glanced at the rest of the group introducing my sister to them.
They liked her instantly offering to her to eat lunch with us if she hasn't made any friend yet. But to my surprise, she already has a friend and was begging if we did allow her friend join us.

Well, what's bad in that. So we agreed. She walked away to God-knows-where maybe to call that friend of hers. She came back with a cute guy.

"Maria I asked you to bring your friend, not your boyfriend," I told her but she smiled.

"Martin is not my boyfriend but my friend. Guys met Martin" she was already sitting next to Drey. While Martin sat beside me. I must confuse Martin is cute though not as cute as Drey.

"So what department are you Marie," Seyi asked.

"Science"

"Oh, you must be the brilliant type, research and stuff," Lawrence said.

"Not really. I am more the fun type. Partying, vacations and stuff like that" She said smiling. How can this girl be my sister, she was my opposite. Opposite of what I was. I don't fancy partying and going on vacations. I prefer to stay in my room watching a movie or reading novels.

"So Adrian what do you like ?" She looked at Drey with an expression I can't decipher. Something between lust and desire. I was waiting for Drey's reply. I don't know why but I was always eager to hear his answers anytime he was questioned.

"Well, you see. I like cute girls like you " he replied. What! He just flirted in my presence with my own sister. I turned to look at Maria her cheeks were pink with embarrassment. I can feel the heat in mine.

He was staring at me, maybe to read my expression or something. I bow my head down while vexing my anger on the food I was eating.

"Ooh, that's so cute," Lawrence said. "You really are cute Maria" he continued. Why is everyone obsessed with her beauty?

"Since you like having fun, there's a party holding up tomorrow at Funke's and I know it would be fun"Amaka announced. "I hope you and Martin's could join us".

What party, I am so not attending some stupid party when my exam was just a few months ahead. They all must be thinking only about having fun.

"Why are you not saying anything Sussy," Tina asked. That girl is so cute, she will forever remain my best friend. She is the only one that actually cares about me.

"Hmmm... I don't have anything to say." I said raising my head up to see everyone.

Maria and Drey seem to be in a serious conversation as they keep talking with each other, ignoring everyone else. Martin must be bored the first day with his new friend and she was already ignoring him.

Seyi was busy with his phone. Amaka and Lawrence must be arguing about something as they kept giving themselves death glare.

Tina and I decided to entertain him by chatting with him."So Martin, how come you are already friend with Maria? Don't you have friends before ?" I questioned him.

He smiled so cutely, gosh this guy is really cute. "I do have betrayals, not friends. All they do is gossip and backbite. When I first saw Maria entering our class. She is so beautiful and luckily was ask to sit beside me. So why not make her my friend".

"That's so nice of you," Tina said. I was planning on asking another question when the bell rang.

"See you at the party tomorrow" Maria shouted but I think she is trying to pass the message to just one person.
