Six months later

Lan Xichen is ruling Cloud Recess with the help of his brother and Wei Ying. Together they work to try and right the wrongs and make Gusu a home for anyone who wishes to live there. There will still be rules but rules within reason and purpose.

Even though there is much to do, they always make time for family.

Wei Ying is tucking A-Yuan to bed. Lan Zhan hears tiny giggles and giggles that sound like tinkling bells which is Wei Ying.

He cannot help but to smile. He never thought he deserved love or would find love. He always thought he would go through life alone. As happy tears threaten to overtake him he takes a deep breath. His life is so full now. Brother is closer, he has a husband who he adores and who adores him back. A son who loves and trusts him. His family is his life and he will always defend and protect it, always.

A-Yuan calls for his father to come and give him a good night kiss. He loves this part of the evening. Lan Zhan softly kisses A-Yuan and strokes his baby soft cheeks. He thinks to himself "I am here my son, I will always be here to love and protect you." He then reaches overs and kisses Wei Ying "I love you my heart. Forever."

A-Yuan kisses both their cheeks and closes his eyes in sleep. While his Baba and Father stare deep into each other's eyes. They gravitate towards each other and hold each other tight. They whisper together, "Together, always together. We will always be here for each other." One last glance at their sleeping son and they walk arm in arm towards their room.

Things will not always be perfect but they now have the tools to work through their problems. They know that as long as they can lean and depend on each other anything is possible. They are a family now and they are determined to give A-Yuan a happy childhood. They will be there for him always.

This is dedicated to my sisterhood who is always there for me and I hope to always be there for them. We help each other, we praise each other and we love each other. We are there for each other. Together, always together.
