Nicki's POV

"Hey! I glad you could come over!" I smiled at Ashtyn as she invited me in.

"I am glad you invited me!" I replied with sincere gratitude towards my new friend and her act of kindness.

"Come in," Ashtyn seemed upset about something.

"Thanks," I said only partially cheerily. Help me to have the words to say, I silently shot this pray up to heaven.

"Nicki?" She snapped her fingers in face.

"Sorry, just thinking about something," I replied as I popped back into reality. "Are you okay? It seems like somethings bothering you."

"Oh yeah,"

Ashtyn's POV:

"Oh yeah,"

Okay? Of course I am not okay! I am broken, don't want to go back to my dad and I feel worthless, I thought.

"I am fine," I lied.

Nicki's POV

"I am fine," I knew she was lying...
