Desires
I know what I want,
But there's more that I want,
Just more than one.
I want to feel,
To have,
To know-
At last,
To heal my past,
Remake my path,
Without the math!
So here my Desires,
Will fuel my fires,
To what will not transpire,
For fulfilling the dire-
Needs of wanting,
Beloving,
But here I'm shoving-
It all away for nothing,
Because they're just Desires,
And they'll just deflate-
Like tires;
With a loss of air,
Sinking below,
With a big old tear,
Where I wouldn't know-
Where to go,
To become one again,
With "more than a friend,"
To stay with until the world's at end.
