Alex PoV:

Yup! We were totally screwed! 100%. I tell you that.

There just right infront of us stood three zombies ....or things....or whatever they were. And here just a few feet away we stood with our mouths hung open. Well in that case Jas's mouth was ready to welcome the flies not mine.

You know the situation where you got too shocked about something, you couldn't even move least make a noise. Yeah... we were in that mode. It's not everyday you got to "meet" the famous infected face to face & they are pretty much ready to pounce on you and tear you apart. Shaking myself out of my unnecessary thoughts. I tried to think of a plan.

Okaey...breath...Alex...breath. Think just think about something to do. Think think think you dumbass useless brain. After a few seconds of cursing my brain, it was like if a light bulb switched on above my head just like in the cartoons when you get an idea. So I decided to quit beating around the bush & decided to tell Jas about it.

"Psst...psst Jas... listen up, here's what we're going to do.... listen carefully...." I trailed, she nodded indicating she was listening & I continued "... I'll count to three---wait a second why I'm going to COUNT in this situation... Curse you Maths you never leave us in any situation...arrgg-" I grumbled "-on three we're going to do EXACTLY what I'm going to say. Got it soldier!" I said trying to sound like a officer commanding his force. Well it's not like there is a force in front of me right now...except the force of Zombie-fected.

...Hey! Look I invented a new word!...ZOMBIE FECTED... I did a dance mentally. Atlast I invented something. Wow Great job Einstein! You actually did something...Bravo. My brain mocked me. Oh shut up you walnut-looking thing. Groaning I snapped out of my "inner bickering" & nodded to Jas "Sir-I mean Ma'am Yes Ma'am" she whispered. Ooookaey...it's time to start my ultimate plan. I gulped, my throat was becoming dry & scratchy.

I exhaled slowly and took a slight step back then halted. "Okaey... I'll count, be ready" I whispered & glanced toward her. She slowly moved her head up & down, not taking her eyes off the things.

"Alright....here goes nothing..." I whispered "...Zero...O...THREE!" I exclaimed & took off with full blast toward the entrance. Has helped and looked at me wide eyed. "Wha- Hey!! You nuthead! Are you crazy!. You said you'll "count to" three not a direct hit!" Jas yelled coming after me. We sprinted through the aisles toward the main door. I practically jumped through the door like a mad woman, trying to escape after murdering someone. I was out of breath. "Slow down you...crazy nuthead...I am going to...die due to this much... running" Jas exclaimed dramatically panting between her sentence."I am losing all...the water...from my body" she panted. Well that was gross to think about. "Stop being a drama queen and run.you idjit" I yelled, glaring at her mentally.

I turned my head to look behind me at her but a groan left my mouth. Those darn infected were right on our steps. HOW CAN THOSE THINGS WALK SO FAST?! "Shit!!...Hurry up Jas. They're...behind us" I was panting by now trying to catch my breath.

"Wha-" her eyes turned wide when she registered what I said. She quickly turned her head to look behind her but....she tripped. Right infront of my eyes!...that klutz flipping tripped and fell on the ground with a loud thud as a shriek left her mouth. Dang it! "Jas!!!" I shouted. I quickly stopped running & turn around to get to her as fast as I can but before I can even reach her, the boy and the women were there. I cursed loudly.

Jas groaned and & flipped on her back. Another groan left her mouth when her back hit the pavement. An un natural shriek left her mouth when when she opened her eyes and saw the woman. She tried to get up and but fell on.the ground with a thud. "STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU FILTHY ZOMBIE!" she shouted and scrambled back.

I looked around frantically for something to use as a weapon to defend ourselves with. My eyes caught a baseball bat. I dashed toward it and picked it up. Mentally cheering that I found something. With the bat in my hands, I ran behind the boy and banged the bat on.his head & then on his knees.

I'm not exactly sure but I think I heard a crack sound and then the boy fell on the ground with a thud and remained motionless. Not paying any heed to him. I took a few steps & turned toward the woman "Hey you zombiefected bitch!" I yelled loudly at the top of my voice. These things have hearing problem.

I wondered if she heard me or not. My doubt was washed away when she turned her head toward the direction from where my voice came from. When she saw me, an menacing growl emitted from her mouth. Seeing the chance I gripped my bat firmly. "Leave.My.Friend.Alone!" I shouted and with all the strength I got, I swung the bat.

The bat hit her head hard. The force made her stagger & she fell on the ground. I swung the bat again hitting her head again and again and again until I knew she was at least unconscious.

My breathing was uneven. I threw the bat away when I saw that it was covered with something reddish green. I gagged at the sight and shuddered. I took a deep breath & gave my hand to Jas who was sitting on the same spot she was before in a daze. She snapped out of her daze and gripped my hand, standing up.

"Oh my God! Hunter!...that was....I- thank you. You saved my ass! I owe you one." She said giving me a smile and punching my arm lightly. "What're friends for" I said giving her a smile. She bent down placing her hands on.her knees. Taking deep breaths. " Also...remind me not to get on your bad side ever" she said looking at the body of the woman on the ground wide eyed. "Sure thing" I replied smirking.

A sudden pain erupted on my shoulder making me hiss. Ahhh shit I think I swung the bat much to hard. "Hey you Okaey?" Jas asked looking at me with concern evident in her eyes. "I think... my shoulder is a bit hurt" Closing my eyes due to the pain. Damnnn I swung the bat way to hard.

Exhaling. "You should find something to use as a weapon Jas" I asked glancing at my right shoulder. She nodded " Yeah... we still have to get the things we left in the Mart. I'll look for something." She said looking around. Something must've caught her eye, she started moving in that direction. Looking at the woman a few feet away from me. I hesitantly sat on the ground to steady my breathing. Damn I hope I didn't dislocate it or something.

" Hey Hunter... this wrench look good. What'd ya-" she said something turning toward me but her sentence was cut off. Her eyes turn wide and she shouted " ALEX BEHIND YOU!."

Startled & shocked by her sudden outburst I quickly turned around. Moving my shoulder a little too fast. Pain erupted through my arm making me yelp. But the yelp turned into a loud shocked gasp.

The boy- zombiefected, who I hit on the head before stood 2 feet away from me. I didn't get to react or stand up, when he growled and started to pounce on me. It was if everything was in slow motion. The brain didn't know what to do so on instinct I shut my eyes waiting for the impact. But the hit never came as on the same time something whizzed past my head and I heard a loud thud.

After a few second I cracked open my eyes. And saw the infected on the ground twitching slightly. An arrow was embedded on his forehead. Arrow?! A gasp left my mouth. What the hell. It was not just ordinary arrow. It was the one that are specifically made for Crossbows.

Jas quickly scrambled on my side and held onto my arm. "Omg Hunter. Are you alright. That was a close call." She said breathlessly. My eyes were still glued on the body. So I just gave her a nod.

She tried to say something when she stopped. "Are you girls okaey?" A reply came from behind us. Wait a second... that voice! I quickly turned my head toward see the owner. When I saw to whom it was. My mouth hung open but no sound came out. "Are you both okaey? What're you two-" he stalked ahead gripping the crossbow in his hands. Checking the surrounding. His sentence was cut off when he saw who we were."-Jasmine? Alex?" he said clearly shocked.

There stood just a couple feets away, the man I knew. Clad in a complete black outfit. A v-neck with a jacket. Jeans and those hot damn combat boots that I loved so much. My eyes caught the dog tags hanging by his neck.

Yup definitely the person I got to know from past 4 months. Definitely the person I can't properly talk infront of. I breathless reply came out of mouth. "Trevs" I said quietly. It wouldn't be surprising if no one heard it. From my peripheral vision I saw Jas looking at me with a amused smile. What? I mean anyone would become breathless if someone soo hot is standing in front of you.

In my case that was Trevs. Clad in black, looking all deadly and handsome and mouthwatering and....and... Whoa Damn!
