Chapter 7 - "Don't get used to it."

Your POV:

I ran as far as I could, not caring where I went. I eventually found myself back in the Pentagram room, and decided that would be the safest for some reason. It was a dumb decision, as pentagrams are the symbol of the devil. Oh well.

I sat in the middle of the big pentagram, which didn't shake this time. I put my face in my hands and began to cry.

I continued moping for I don't know how long when I heard footsteps. I looked up, eyes wide. I scooted to the back of the room, somehow finding the axe Bendy liked to use. I held it in front of myself as I stared at the new gash Sammy had made. It was in the middle of my chest, and it was staining my shirt. I didn't care at this point, I just had to stay safe.

The footsteps got louder, and eventually the person entered the room. I stared at them, frightened, until I saw their face.

Bendy was standing there in all his glory, the small ink demon he was. For some reason he was having trouble walking, and the black in his skin looked more faded. I dropped the axe and stood up, looking at him worriedly.

Bendy looked up and saw me. We stared at each other for a long time, before I opened my arms for a hug. Bendy looked away and scoffed, rejecting my offer. I lowered my arms and sighed. Of course the sliver of sympathy wouldn't last.

I was busy trying to think of all the insults toward the demon that I could, when my thoughts were interrupted by a terrifying noise. I snapped out of my trance and stared at the bent devil, who was coughing a black substance into his hand. Every time he released a bit of this, it stained his glove, and his black color faded even more.

I hesitated no more and ran to get him, but he fell unconscious. At this point I was actually worried for my captor, as he had saved me before. Who knew what would've happened if he hadn't shown up?

I gently cradled the demon in my arms, taking him to the Ink Machine. I waded through the black goo, holding Bendy under the pump. I felt the ink around my feet start to dry, but I stood my ground, waiting until the color returned to the demon. Eventually he sucked in air, and I pulled him out from under the pump. I tried stepping out of the ink, but my feet were stuck. I groaned and waited for Bendy to wake up.

After a while, the devil opened his eyes, staring groggily up at me. They were still only half-open, so chances were that he was still half-asleep. "Ugh... (Y/n)?" Bendy murmured.

"Yeah?" I responded as Bendy's tail curled around my hand. I blushed lightly.

"Why did you save me?" Apparently the demon thought it was a good idea to caress my cheek as well, because that's exactly what he did.

"So you can get me out of here," I tried maintaining my calm composure, but he kept making me blush. "My feet are stuck."

"Oh," Bendy yawned and stretched, his tail unwrapping itself from my fingers. "Do I have to do that now?"

"Yes," I rolled my eyes, setting him down. The demon floated in the ink for a minute before standing up, somehow unsticking my legs easily. He then crawled up my leg and laid back down in my arms. I blushed as he groggily pointed a finger toward the exit.

"Go! Get out of here, quickly!"

I sighed and carried him out of the room, setting him down just outside the Pentagram room. He stood and rubbed his eyes, suddenly waking up completely. He stared at me and noticed my blush, then he looked down. "Oh lord, what did I do?"

"Nothing really," I admitted. "Well, at least nothing I found over the top."

"Oh man," Bendy looked back at me, looking guilty for a millisecond. Then his gaze turned cold once more and he said, "Don't get used to it." He then turned on his heel and tried to walk away, but he still fell. I helped him up and let go of his hand before he could slap me.

"Will you please explain why I'm having trouble with walking, unlike normal?" Bendy snapped at me.

"For some reason, you were losing ink," I explained. "So I used the Ink Machine to refill you."

"Oh," Bendy was quiet for a second. He then looked at me, his eyes gentle again. "Thank you."

"Don't get used to it," I winked. He laughed lightly before being mean again.

"Go back into the Ink Machine room. I'll get you some jars," Bendy started walking away. "And make it snappy!"

I stared after him, the smile on my face lingering. It felt good knowing I had gotten to him, even if it was just this once. I then turned and went into the Ink Machine room again, listening to my boss.
