Chapter three
Mercy paled slightly, as she powered off her computer and lay back down. 'What could YFP mean?!' She thought frantically. She closed her eyes, willing her body to sleep while remaining completely alert. Sure enough, she heard a key being inserted and her door being opened.
Slowly footsteps walked into her room and around her bed, always moving closer.
"How long has she been asleep?" The intruder asked in a gruff voice.
"As far as we can tell, since late last night." Another voice said, sounding much more familiar than the first one.
'Don't move, we are going to inject you with a substance that will hurt a lot.' A voice said in her head.
'Okay...' She thought quietly, 'who are you?'
'That is none of your concern!' The voice said harshly, as a needle pierced her arm, feeling like liquid fire was being injected into her veins. She squirmed silently, biting her tongue so hard she could taste blood. Just when she thought the pain would consume her, it stopped entirely.
She opened her eyes slowly, looking around cautiously, only to find herself alone. She sat up quickly and fell off her bed in a jumbled heap.
'What did they inject me with?' She thought frantically, as she tried and failed to get back up.
'A severe poison, they want to see if you can heal from it.' The voice from before said.
'What if I don't heal?' She asked fearfully, as her eyes teared up.
'We have the antidote, but we need to see how you handle the poison before we can administer it.' The voice said in a no nonsense tone.
Mercy rolled her eyes, and slowly forced herself onto her feet. She wobbled towards her computer, each step was getting harder than the last.
'YFP,
I hope you get this quickly... I've supposedly been poisoned by a severe poison that I am forced to go through almost to the point of death. Then if they feel like I am worth it, they will give me the antidote. I hope they give me the antidote or that I heal... If not, thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...' she typed before blacking out.

Mercy waited until the poison had almost killed her, before focusing on the foreign illness in her bloodstream. Slowly, the harder she focused, the poison started to weaken and she could feel her strength increasing. She continued to focus, not noticing that she had started to levitate.
She forced her eyes open and looked around in shock. One: she was alive, two: she was floating, and three her strength was increasing rapidly. 'I wonder,' she thought, as she changed her center of focus.
She closed her eyes again and focused on the door to her room. The more she focused, the more the door started to vibrate. Her focus was so intense, she didn't notice that there was another presence in the room.
Suddenly another needle was injected into her arm, and as the cool liquid pooled into her veins, she blacked out. Leaving her room's door in utter ruin.
