No POV:

It's already been a month since Adrian enrolled at Yokai Academy. He is getting used to it day by day. He feels more normal at this academy than in regular school in the Human World. Tsukune and Moka have been getting along greatly, although some moments are ruined by Moka's desire to drink Tsukune's blood. Adrian and Kurumu have been going on dates pretty often. He and Tsukune had to deal with many male students jealous of them having pretty girls at their sides.

In Nekonome's class, she begins to tell everyone what they are required to continue their progress in adapting to the human world.

Nekonome: Well then, everyone, this academy's goal is to train monsters to adapt to human society... Just as I've been saying all along. So that means... starting today you're all going to take up club activities!

The class stays silent.

Adrian (Thoughts): Club activities. I was in a creative writing club for a bit, but that ended when I transferred here. I don't think anyone cared.

Nekonome: We'll get a deeper understanding of humans by experienceing with human made activities through some sweet in club activities! To trasnform into humans perfectly, we must have a clear understanding of humans!

A male student gets up and raises his hand.

Student: Um... sensei... Wouldn't that give you an F in transforming then?

The student points to Nekonome's tail wagging.

Nekonome: RAWWR!

Nekonome scratches the student's face and causes it to bleed a little. She gets back to the board and acts like nothing's happened while everyone sweats nervously from what they just witnessed.

Nekonome: Understand? Everyone will participate in club activities! Everyone, please visit a lot of groups and decide which one you want to enter! Be sure to visit the Newspaper Club that I'm the advisor for, ok!!

Everyone goes out of class and into the halls, where they see several students trying to sign up for recruit of others for their clubs. Kurumu ends up getting swept away by a wave of freshman students.

Kurumu: NOOO! ADRIAN!!!

Tsukune: Will she be okay?!

Moka: I think she will. It's kind of awesome. I bet every group has someone advertising it here! Hey, Tsukune, Adrian, what group should we enter?

Tsukune thinks for a moment and gets an idea.

Tsukune: How about the swimming club?

Moka is shocked and Adrian is disturbed at what Tsukune said.

Adrian: What?

Tsukune: Well... Actually, by parents made me take swimming classes until Grade school. They said it was for my health or something.

Prometheus:

Adrian (Thoughts): Yeah, I know he just wants to see Moka in a swimsuit. But should we tell him what we found out about vampires?

Prometheus: (Unintelligible)

Adrian (Thoughts): Okay. I guess letting him learn the hard way is how things have to be.

Moka: Err... But I... Anyway, it's still too early to decide. Let's visit a lot of clubs since they've gone to all this trouble!

Moka and Tsukune walk as many of the male students and club memebers are mesmerized by Moka's beauty. Moka is hounded by creepy members of Photo Club, Chemistry Club, Mummy Club, and Acupuncture Club to join them. Tsukune is understandably freaked out by them and drags Moka away.

Adrian (Thoughts): I guess that's what to expect at this academy. I'm going to check out that Newspaper Club. It seems like the most normal and legit club in this school. And hopefully tell Tsukune and Moka before they end up in trouble. I also need to find Kurumu. I think she'll be okay for a bit.

Adrian POV:

I begin walking and starr to compare Yokai Academy to my old high school. The halls in my old school were mostly empty while these ones were packed with students. Those that walked passed me before made gave low opinions of me while those currently passing by me are just to busy to notice me walking. And in this school, I made two friends on my first day along with having a girlfriend for the first time in my life.

I eventually find Ms. Nekonome and see her holding a banner for the Newspaper Club.

Nekonome: Oh, Mr. Wake, thank you for coming! Would you be interested in signing up for the Newspaper Club? We actually don't have that many members and are in danger of getting shut down.

Adrian: Yes, actually. I do fancy myself as a writer.

Nekonome: Great! You'll be perfect for writing articles! Just sign right here!

Nekonome holds out a clipboard with a signature paper and I sign it.

Nekonome: Thank you so much! Are there any others you want to invite to this club as well?

Adrian: Yes, but I need to talk to them first.

Nekonome: Alright! The Newspaper Club will be seeing you soon. Have fun!

I walk away and go look for the others. I walk down the hall and see that it's already empty. I guess everyone already found clubs. Good luck to them surviving any odd ones that they choose. Then again, hardly anything at this academy is "Normal". I eventually see Kurumu walking down the hall and she runs up to me the moment I was in her line of vision.

Kurumu: Adrian! I got swept up by those jerks I ended up lost in the school! I think some of them were even a bit handsy with me! I'm so glad I could see you again.

Adrian: Tell me who they are and I'll break their kneecaps.

Kurumu: Unfortunately, I don't know who they are. Hey, did you sign up for any clubs? Whatever you joined, I'll join too. I don't want to be away from my destined one.

Adrian: I signed up for the Newspaper Club. It seems like the most normal out of the rest.

Kurumu: Sadly, I haven't seen many that didn't want me just for my looks. I'm glad to be in the same club as you.

Adrian: Nice to hear. Hey, have you seen Tsukune or Moka?

Kurumu: No I haven't. I did hear something about them joining the swimming club.

Adrian: ...Damn it, Tsukune.

Adrian (Thoughts): Moka?

I follow the directions Prometheus tells me and Kurumu joins. We go outside the school and see Moka curled up, holding onto her knees and has electricity cackling on her body. Me and Kurumu walk up to check on her and find out what happend. She looks up in surprise that we found her.

Moka: Adrian? Kurumu?

Adrian: Moka? I'd ask if you're okay, but a evidence points to you're not.

Moka: Looks like you can notice.

Kurumu: Did water get on you?

Moka: Yes. I was by the pool and it happened. I ran here immediately so I wasn't around people when this happened... I'm sick of this body... why can't I be like everyone else? I'm weird... I want to swim with Tsukune. I wish I could be with him too...

I sigh as I put my sweater around her and she looks at me.

Adrian: Don't you dare say that.

Moka: Huh?

I kneel down and look at her.

Adrian: You have your weaknesses. So do I. And so does Kurumu. No reason to be ashamed of having them. I have to accept what you like and what you don't like so you can be safe. Same thing for Kurumu and Tsukune. What do you say I drag Tsukune out of that Swimming Club and get him to talk to you about what happened.

Moka tears up a bit and smiles at me.

Moka: I would like that very much. Thank you Adrian.

I stand up and look at Kurumu.

Adrian: Kurumu, could you watch Moka for a bit? I'll be back dragging Tsukune.

Kurumu: Sure.

I walk to school pool where the Swimming Club is located and hear screaming coming from there. I go up to the fence and see the Swimming Club's female members turning into mermaids and literally eating the men's life away. Tsukune is grabbed club president Tamao and is about to be bitten by her. I climb up the fence and into the pool. I use the Pocket Watch Oop's power to stop time and pull Tsukune out of the pool before returning it to normal.

Tamao: Adrian Wake, Correct? I've laid my eyes on you during the first day as well. Your scent is so human, it's delicious.

Adrian: Tsukune, go.

Tsukune: I can't let you take them on by yourself.

Adrian: I said go. You owe it to Moka. She didn't get it because water is dangerous for vampires.

Tsukune: What?

Tsukune is shocked by the revelation.

Adrian: *Sigh*, guess things have to be done the hard way.

I use my chains to grab Tsukune and toss him out of the pool. I see him run to get Moka and help. The mermaids look at me and are clearly obssessed with wanting to eat my life away.

Mermaid 1: Come on.

Mermaid 2: We promise we won't take all your life away.

Adrian: You'll have to grab me first.

One mermaid jumps out and tries to grab me, but I dodge and punch her into the pool. I grab my hand since that punch hurt me as well. I hardly use my physical strength since I'm a Parautilitarian. Well, I better adapt fast if I'm going to survive this.

Another mermaid charges at me and I use the chains to grab her and swing her around to knock out a few more of them. But they keep getting back up and charging at me. Monsters are cetainly more durable than humans. I then use my powers to send a small blast of energy to push the mermaids away.

Tamao: You're pretty tenacious. It only makes me want to eat you more.

Adrian: Come and try.

The mermaids continue to grab me and my attacks hardly keep them down. A swarm jumps at me, so I freeze time and move them so that they are aimed at each other. I resume time and the mermaids slam into each other and fall.

Adrian: That's got to hurt.

Tamao: No more games! You're mine!

Tamao jumps at me and tries to bit me, but I use the chains wrapped around my arms to block her teeth from sinking into my skin. I struggle to keep her from trying to claw me and reach her teeth close enough to pierce my arm. Suddenly, Tamao is pulled way and tossed into the pool. I look and see the Inner Moka in front of me.

Inner Moka: I don't know I I didn't freaking say this whenyou were playing Cat and Mouse with Kurumu. Don't pull stunts such as these.

Adrian: Well, I had to settle for throwing Tsukune your way and staying to make sure he'd come and learn his lesson. Yes, It's stupid as hell, but did the other Moka tell him why she didn't swim?

Inner: No, cause he was busy begging me to save you.

The mermaids jump up to attack, but Moka jumps up and kicks them so hard, they end up unconscious. Such is the strength of a vampire. Why am I not that surprised by it? It's like this is something I knew to expect deep down. Kurmu appears behind me and hugs me.

Kurumu: Oh, how dare you put yourself in danger like this. Just because you're tough, doesn't mean you should do things by yourself.

Adrian: This was unexpected and Tsukune's no fighter. Or not yet at least.

Tsukune arrives and is clearly saddened by what happened, as well as his failure to understand Moka back then.

Tsukune: Adrian I--

Moka walks up to Tsukune and slaps him. Tsukune is clearly shocked by this, but quickly gets the message why she did it.

Inner Moka: The other Moka cried, and Adrian was fending for himself. Due to her inferiority complex of being different different from others, she blamed herself... for not being able to swim. She's always had to live with being hurt in the human society like that! But Adrian came to comfort her and was willing to risk his life so you can escape. I hate men like you who are unable to think of anything but themselves, you have no right to come near me Tsukune! Stay out of my sight... Tsukune!

Moka grabs the rosary from Tsukune before she walks to me and looks at my eyes.

Inner Moka: And you, don't pull stunts like these again. If Tsukune's not around, I won't have any other candidates to drink their blood.

Kurumu: You really do have a way words, don't ya.

Adrian: Well, no way I was about to let you put yourself in danger. And besides, I owed ya for the save during the second day at this academy. You can call us even. Besides, whether you want to admit it or not, we are friends in the sense we talk about.

Inner Moka: Hmph. Whatever.

Inner Moka walks away and I turn to see Tsukune looking on.

Adrian: Tsukune, you want to head back with us?

Tsukune: You both go. I'll catch up.

Kurumu: Are you sure?

Tsukune: Yes

Adrian: Okay. See you soon, Tsukune.

Kurumu and I walk away and go to our dorms. Moka didn't show up at class the next day and Tsukune is worried that Moka doesn't want to see him again. Then two more days have passed and I see Tsukune walking through the halls of the academy.

Adrian: Hey Tsukune. Moka's still not here?

Tsukune: No.

Adrian: Oh.

Nekonome appears and walks toward the two of us.

Adrian: Hi Ms. Nekonome.

Nekonome: Hi Mr. Wake. Mr. Aono, have you decided which club you're going to join? The only ones who haven't decided yet are you and Moka-san!

Tsukune: Nekonome-sensei... No, I haven't yet.

Nekonome: Splendid! Then I wonder if you both wouldn't join my club? The Newspaper Club. Adrian and Kurumu are the only ones that joined and we still have room for more members.

Tsukune: Newspaper club? Well... but... Well... I...

Moka: That's great! I'll join that club.

Tsukune and I look behind and see Moka in her cheeful self.

Moka: Good morning Tsukune! Morning Adrian!

Tsukune: Moka-san! I wasn't sure if you'd come back again...

Moka: I kinda slept through the whole rejuvenation.

More than kind of. She was gone for three days.

Nekonome pulls out a sign that says "Welcome to the Newspaper Club".

Nekonome: Great!! That's totally great! Then you two have both decided on joining the Newspaper Club, right?

Kurumu appears behind me and grabs my arm.

Kurumu: So you two are joining us as well.

Moka: I guess so.

Tsukune and Moka look at each other and are glad that they can be in the same club that is suited for both of them. I can already tell that they truly love each other. That's fine by me. Besides, I like being with Kurumu. And it's nice to have friend for the first time in forever.
