No POV

The Newspaper club arrives at their original destination and says goodbye to the women who gave them a lift. They look around and see the buildings, cars, and humans. Tsukune gets a feeling of nostalgia and Adrian finds it interesting to be in a foreign town.

Tsukune: 'This feels so nostalgic. I can smell the air that I was born in.'

Adrian: So this is what a Japanese town looks like. Can't say I'm not impressed.

Kurumu: Woah, this is so cool.

Moka didn't say anything due to her past experience with living in the human world. Yukari still expresses uncertainty and worry about being in a human city. Adrian then walks to Yukari and kneels down to her level before putting his hand on her shoulder to reassure her.

Adrian: Yukari, stay next to me until we get to the motel. I'll  protect you.

Yukari hesitates to say something before shaking her head and taking a deep breath.

Yukari: I-I'm okay. It's all good.

Tsukune: Don't worry Yukari, It's not like this is a dangerous place.

Adrian looks at Tsukune and can tell that he wants the girls to like the human world. But Adrian fully knows why non-humans would dislike the human world. And he knows Yukari's worry since he read that witches have a high connection with nature. The fact that humans have been causing environmental destruction out of selfish desire does not make things any better. This city is constantly growing at the expense of the land around them.

Adrian then senses something watching them and looks up at the sky, but sees nothing. On a building overlooking the streets, a crow lands on the roof and trasnforms into a girl with long black hair, two ponytails on the side of her head and scarlet orange-like red eyes. She looks at her arm and sees some kind of of device that is pulsing.

Ruby: Well this thing certaintly made it easier to find that boy. Still didn't think the girl would be with him. Actually, I still can't believe she would end up in a human town. I guess there are witches that don't know what their doing.

Ruby then looks at Adrian who is trying to keep Yukari safe and understand her.

Ruby: Are you trying to help her, boy? Even if your intent is genuine, it won't do any good. Witches can hear the sounds of the wind and converse with the fairies. We are a race that uses the pwoer of nature to our advantage. That's why when she stays in the city where thre nature has been destroyed, it makes me sick. And that Parautilitarian, I'm not sure if he and the other's like him deserve to be given sympathy. That might be an evolution evolution not in our favor. Still, I suppose I could keep our end of the bargain.

Meanwhile, the Newspaper club are walking and Yukari is still frightened by all the humans, cars, and constant noise all around.

Yukari: Uh. 'There's so many people talking that it's making me confused. So this is the Human's Town.

Adrian looks at Yukari and extends his hand for her to hold. Yukari is uncertain since she doesn't want to rely on him too much, but the city is overwhelming her and she accepts it. Unfortunately, the many males aroung them notice Moka and Kurumu, run up to talk to them. The crowd pushes Adrian, Tsukune, and Yukari to the side and surround the two girls.

Adrian: Yeah you all get bent as well. Yukari, how about I find somewhere more private than this. I mean it won't be much, but it probably won't be as crowed.

Yukari: Yes please.

A bunch of suspicous looking males start apporaching Yukari and creepily ask if she's cosplaying. Adrian gets fed up by them, he pick Yukari up and runs away. The men chase after them, but Yukari uses her magic to break the glass on the street lamps to distract the pursuers.

Tsukune: What you doing Yukari?! You're not supposed to use magic in the middle of the streets!

Tsukune grabs Kurumu and Moka and follows Adrian and Yukari. Ruby notices this and raises her wand.

Ruby: I knew it. Witches cannot possibly live in the Human's City. I do acknowledge you trying to help her boy, so I will try to be nicer with you than most of your kind.

Ruby waves her wand and the crows around her fly away. The Newspaper Club goes into an alley to hide from the crowd. Of course, Yukari is at the end of her rope being in a human city.

Yukari: I'm sick of this! I'm scared of both humans and the human world!

Adrian: Then let's go back to the academy.

Everyone looks at Adrian in surprise of what he said.

Kurumu: You want to head back already? Okay, the flesh-eating plants we encountered on this trip does justify that idea. But don't you think it's still too soon?

Adrian: I'm pretty sure this place isn't for Yukari. Yukari, do you want to leave? I won't make you stay here.

Yukari: I... I want to go back.

Tsukune: Yukari, please don't worry about it. I know how you feel. I'm sure you'll get...

Yukari: Stop lying!!! You don't understand my feelings at all. It's impossible for Tsukune to understand. There's too much difference between my world and the Human's world. No one will ever understand. But at least Addy has an idea of how I'm feeling. 

Kurumu: Okay, I won't tell you not to yell, but could you please tone it down a little.

Suddenly, crows begin to surround the group and harass them. As they group begins panicking, Adrian gets hit by darts and gets taken away with Yukari. The crows then scatter and everyone is confused at what's happening.

Kurumu: Adrian's gone!

Moka: Yukari too!

One a roof, Adrian and Yukari are lying down until the latter opens her eyes and slowly gets up.

Yukari: What? Where am I?

Yukari then looks to her side and sees Adrian.

Yukari: Addy!

She shakes him and Adrian slowly gets up. Yukari also removes the darts that were in his back.

Adrian: What happened?

Yukari: You got hit by darts again.

Adrian: Two times in a week? Is that good for my health? Where are we?

Yukari: I don't know either.

The two of them look ahead and see a woman standing on the edge of the building and holding a wand.

Adrian: Ma'am, you might want to step back. It's a long way down.

Ruby: You two are awake. So, how's it feel to be in a human's city? You look terrible back there young witch.

The girl turns around and shows her face to them Adrian was a little surprised by how beautiful she was.

Ruby: This city doesn't have anything. No wind, no water. No flower, and not even the smell of the Earth and the green. Only ego and selfishness remain here. As a witch, the only way to describe this is pitiful. And do you have anything to say, boy?

Adrian: No, not really.

Ruby: Really.

Adrian nods.

Ruby: I expected you to say something like "The people here are nothing like that" or "Not everyone is as bad as you think".

Adrian: Moments of calm in a sea of negativity.

Ruby: So, even some humans can know how terrible their species truly is.

A crow caws near Yukari and frightens her into holding Adrian's arm.

Ruby: Oh... don't worry. These crows are my friends. They've helped me bring you here from those humans. Though I had to carry him here because his weight, though less for most boys his age, was too heavy for my friends

Adrian: May we ask for your name, miss?

Ruby: Oh, where are my manners for that part? My name is Ruby. I'm a resident of the Witch's Ranch. Yukari, I really wanted to be your friend, so I came over from the ranch.

In another part of the city, Tsukune, Moka, and Kurumu have been looking everywhere for Adrian and Yukari.

Moka: Did you find Yukari or Adrian!?

Kurumu: They're not in this area.

Tsukune: Not in this area either.

Kurumu: I wonder where they went off to. Maybe Adrian already brought her back to the academy.

Tsukune: Maybe Yukari was right. We are her friends and only Adrian was the one who understood her feelings. Not us.

Kurmu reflects on everything that happened when they got to the city.

Moka: Everybody... feels the same way. That's why we have to find them as soon as possible. And consider Yukari's feelings this time.

Kurumu hears cawing and looks behind her to see a flock of crows surrounding the roof of a building.

Back at the roof, Ruby is sitting down on the ledge with Yukari and, surprisingly, Adrian.

Ruby: Humans. Bad things happened to me because of them. I have been living in the human society so I understand. Humans are powerless, pitiful creatures that can't do anything, but destroy. It's a race full of negativity. And even those that are somewhat rather decent, I hate them significantly less, but still hardly enough to change what humans as a whole really are. Yukari, you should understand after arriving here, Witches and Humans don't even need to communicate... We never need to.

Yukari remembers Tsukune's insensitive comment, but remember Adrian offering to take her back to the academy. Ruby then hands Yukari one of the large sunflowers from the Witch's Ranch.

Ruby: Those humans planned on destroying our sunflower ranch. Although I am using pat tense as that plan had been moved to another place. At least for right now.

Ruby then looks back at Adrian.

Ruby: Someone gave us a little reminder that some people are far more useful alive than dead.

Adrian: Is that how the Witch's ranch was left alone?

Ruby: Yes. But that doesn't meant it'll be like that forever. In order for the witch's ranch to be left alone forever, this city has to fall. That's why we need your help, Yukari.

Yukari: Addy, are you okay with this?

Adrian: Few moments of calm in a sea of negativity. Besides, I won't make you do anything.

Yukari: ...I don't want to bring suffering to others.

Ruby puts her hands on Yukari's shoulders.

Ruby: They don't need to suffer. I won't take long. Help us and they won't feel any pain. So will you help us?

Yukari thinks for a second before she nods to Ruby. Ruby is overjoyed and hugs Yukari.

Ruby: Really!? Yay! Now you're one of us, let's be friends.

Yukari: Okay, Ruby. What will happen to Addy?

Yukari looks at Adrian and so does Ruby.

Ruby: Someone bargained with me and my master. We intend to uphold our end of it. Out of respect for you trying to understand a witch, I highly suggest you choose the easy option and come with us.

Tsukune: Wait a minute...

Suddenly a door opens and we look to see Tsukune, Moka, and Kurumu piled on top of each other.

Tsukune: Hold on a second... are you being serious Yukari?

Adrian: You all noticed the crows that were flying around the building, didn't you?

Kurumu: Bingo.

Adrian: And the reason you didn't open that door earlier is because you were listening to us.

Tsukune: Yes. Yukari, we were worried all about you. Adrian's right, let's all go back to Yokai Academy. Let's just forget about the report. Does that sound good?

Yukari reaches her hand out to Tsukune. However, Adrian jumps to them and pushes them away before something strikes. Suddenly, cuts appear and Tsukune and Adrian. They look and see that Ruby has six wings on her back with the feathers now like knives.

Ruby: Let Yukari and her friend come with me, and I'll leave you all alone. I'd be more focused on getting your friend some medical assistance.

Ruby then tires to grab Yukari, but her wings are restrained by chains. She looks and sees that Adrian is behind her and is trying to prevent her moving despite his wounds.

Adrian: Sorry Ms. Ruby, but you harming those I do care about is where I draw the line.

Moka sinks her fangs into Tsukune to infuse some of her blood into him. Soon he gets back up and charges at Ruby to punch her. The force knocks the air out of her lungs and renders her unconscious. Ruby falls, but Adrian catches her in his arms. The group leaves the roof and heads back to the streets. They spend hours looking for the motel they are staying at, but have no clue where it is. The group comes to a bus stop and takes a break.

Adrian: This is not going how we expected to be.

Tsukune: Especially now. We can't find out motel and we split up with Ms. Nekonome. We couldn't even head back to the academy even if we wanted to.

Moka: And we can't just leave this girl in the middle of nowhere. You can't even see the stars at night.

Adrian: Yeah, light pollution will do that.

Kurumu: This is sad. What's going to happen to us now...?

Adrian looks to his side and sees a very familiar bus coming their way.

Adrian: Uh, guys--

Yukari: No worries... As long as I'm with everyone, I'm all set.

Tsukune: Yukari?

Yukari goes to Tsukune and hugs his arm and cries.

Yukari: I'm sorry, I was really mean back there. Even if you do or don't understand me, I really like everybody here.

Tsukune: Yukari.

???: Hey, everybody's here.

We look and see Nekonome holding crates of fish while the bus driver is next to her. Everyone gathers around her, glad that she finally arrived. Adrian, however, is looking at Ruby.

Adrian: I hate making assumptions. But I feel like you know what it's like to grow up with much negativity. When you wake up, Let's have a talk. Especially since it's clear that your master will be looking for you.

Adrian gently moves a few strands of Ruby's hair off her eyes and to her side.
