Mayflower II

The Ferry that departs from Luisiana and has Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as destination. The Riverboat is actually a locationary portkey meaning that only when it reaches the edge of the fogged swamps of Luisiana, it transports to the lake at the bottom of Mount Greylock, where the school is located.

It is named after the Mayflower, the ship that brought Isolt Sayre, the founder of Ilvermorny, from Britain to the Americas. The naming of the Ferry was chosen by the students who could vote on different other names. Second in the running was Riverboat Tom.

The trip from Luisiana to Mount Greylock takes about two hours. The students can enjoy little snacks or enchanted music as they wait for the trip to be over. The crew of the ship wears cranberry red and dark blue suits, a straw hat perched on their crowns.

Boarding School Bus

Another way to reach Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is by using the Boarding School Bus. One leaves from different states where students aren't in the possibility to take the Mayflower II. The busses are bright yellow, as to resemble the No Maj busses. However, instead of bright red and yellow lights, a purple light shows the way as it rushes through traffic.

It's quite fast and not exactly the most comfortable way of travel. Students often get shaken out of their seats and heads occasionally bump against the roof. Trunks and suitcases are collected on top of the bus, often missing a bit of luggage when arriving at the school.

SubSubways

To reach other magical locations, wizards and witches can use the SubSubWays, subways hidden in No Maj subways. They are always found in the middle of two No Maj railways. To enter one, the witch or wizard has to enter one of the No Maj subways and walk through the opposite door to enter the SubSubWay. It's the fastest and easiest way to reach your destination without attracting the attention of the busy No Maj who never pay attention to the witches and wizards suddenly walking through the door on the seemingly empty railway.

Enchanted Cabs

Bigger cities like New York and Chicago, offer the magical population the benefit of Enchanted Cabs. These bright purple taxi cabs swiftly dance between the traffic even if the No Maj traffic is stuck.
