Warlock's Hall, a.k.a. the Wand Hall is the first place where students of Ilvermorny can acquire their wands. The day after their Sorting ceremony, they are all gathered in the Great Hall. Once everyone is present, the Headmaster invites the students into Warlock's Hall. 

The entrance to this enchanting room is guarded by a simple black and white glass-stained door portraying a crow. This is meant as a tribute to the Isolt Sayre's father, William Sayre. 

Once inside the room, the tall glass windows cast rectangular beams of sunlight over a pristine white marble floor. Images of several tiny crows fly across the tiles and every now and then the actual animal actually roams through the rows of cases.  In long rows, there are several story high cases, filled to the brim with wands. 

The students are required to remain within the main corridor as dashing into the unknown would create chaos in the orderly structured cases. Under the very observant eye of Poppy Hickok, the school's wandkeeper, a select group of last-year students helps the first years in their search for the perfect wand. 

At the back of the room, there are five crystal orbs. The first-year students are required to place both hands on the surface of the orb. The feeling of its material differs from student to student. Some say it felt cool and smooth underneath their fingers, others say it was prickling and sending shocks through their fingertips. The orb scans the entire inventory of Warlock's Hall, trying to find the best match between wand and student. 

Once the mist inside the orb is cleared, a code will appear. This code will lead the senior year student towards the right wandcase, the first-year in tow. Although the system is very efficient and almost never fails, it is required for every student to perform the first flick of their wand within the walls of Warlock's Hall. It has only happened a handful of times that the system was wrong and another wand needed to be appointed to the student. 

The inventory is created by wands coming from all over the U.S. Different wand makers are suppliers to the school, which is why the school has such a large variety of wands to offer the best wand to each individual personality. 

If something's wrong with the wand, the student can always return to Warlock's Hall to fix the broken wand.
