Chapter 10: Hunt for the Champions

"New champions you say?" Robbie asked, fixing up his goggles.

Zelda wondered if Robbie even had eyes under his goggles, but then her heart stung as she was reminded of Tech.

"Yes, that's what Fi said." Zelda replied.

Robbie didn't reply, instead he put four different animals on the table. They looked like mini Divine Beasts.

"Meet Divine Beast Vah Owlet, Vah Naala, Vah Nilela and Vah Woola!" Purah cried.

"They look tiny," Link remarked.

Everyone followed Purah outside. Purah found a nice patch of grass away from Hateno. She tossed Owlet in-front of her. The beast grew to the size of a massive owl.

"Now, you can shrink them for easy transport. We just need to install it on the original four," Purah said.

Naala was a leopard, Nilela was a crocodile, Woola was a sheep and Owlet was an owl.

"All you need to do is pick eight champions," Robbie said.

"I know who the new four champions should be," Zelda said.

"I know who could pilot the original four," Link said.

...

In Zora's Domain, Zelda and Link talked to the King of the Zora.

"So you want a Zora to pilot Ruta? Again?" The king of the Zora asked.

"Please, your highness," Zelda pleaded.

"And who do you propose?" The king asked.

"Um..." Zelda said, hesitant to say.

"Sidon." Link interjected, to save Zelda from tearing up.

"He is my only child! Only child alive!" The king cried.

"You want me to pilot Ruta?" A voice asked from behind.

"Sidon!" Link said, hugging him.

"Nice to see you buddy! The last time I saw you, you were on death's doorstep!" Sidon said, giving them his usual toothy grin.

"Yes, they would like you to pilot Ruta. It's up to you my son," The king, who's name is Dorephan, said.

"I...accept your proposal!" Sidon said, before giving the Princess a toothy grin again.

"Thanks Sidon, meet at Hateno Village when we say so," Link said.

"Also, would it be okay if Purah added some things to Ruta ?" Zelda asked.

"Of course my Princess," Dorephan said.

...

After looking at Ruta, Zelda, Link and Purah set out to Rito Village.

Now at Rito Village, Zelda and Link had to wear special clothes to withstand the cold. Purah simply activated warm mode on her coat.

Link took Purah to Medoh and then went to the Flight Range to seek out Teba.

Link and Zelda climb up the ladder that led to the Flight Range.

"I was expecting you," a white bird said.

"Teba!" Link said.

"Hi," Teba said. "What do you want?"

Zelda was a little taken back by Teba's attitude, she hoped he wasn't like Revali (Rev-a-lee).

"We wish for you to pilot Medoh," Zelda said.

"Hmm, fine, but! You can't abandon me like you did with Revali," Teba said.

Those words stung Zelda. It was her fault in the first place that Revali was dead.

Zelda and Link hurriedly left to collect Purah and then go to Goron City.

...

In Goron City, Zelda and Link put on their Flameproof Armour and Purah drank a Fireproof Elixir. They all prepared to face the unbearable heat of Death Mountain.

"So you want me to pilot Rudania? I don't know Link, it's a pretty scary thing to do," Yunobo said.

"Please?" Zelda begged.

"I'm too scared," Yunobo replied.

"Yunobo, you are brave, you fought Rudania, you went to get your chief's painkillers, you did that very well," Link said.

"We can train you as well," Zelda said.

"Oh fine," Yunobo said.

"Great! Let's get to Purah and head to Gerudo Town!" Zelda said.

...

Now in the town, Purah was at Naboris and Link and Zelda were at the entrance to Gerudo Town. Zelda was in her Gerudo outfit waiting for Link to come out.

"Hurry up Link!" Zelda shouted.

"I can't," Link replied.

"Oh come on, it can't be that bad," Zelda said.

"It is! It's so embarrassing!" Link cried.

Zelda knew Link's situation. He had to dress up as a girl to enter the town. That is the rule of the town, women only.

"Just come out," Zelda said.

"Okay, fine," Link replied.

Link came out in lady's clothes. Zelda had to try really hard to not laugh. She ended up letting a giggle out. "Let's go, honestly it's not that bad."

As soon as Link and Zelda entered the Gerudo Palace, Zelda was shocked to see a young lady sitting on the throne.

"Link!" The girl squealed.

"Riju, this is Princess Zelda," Link said.

Riju raised an eyebrow. "This is the Princess?"

"Yes, and I have come to ask if you would be kind enough to pilot Naboris?" Zelda asked.

"Sure!" Riju replied.

"Thanks!" Link said.

"Yes, now get outta here!" Riju ordered.

...

Back at Link's house, the ceremony of crowning new Champions had begun.

"You have been called here today to celebrate the birth of new champions. Sidon, Ruta. Teba, Medoh. Yunobo, Rudania. Riju, Naboris. Florence, Owlet. Haku, Naala. Chihiro, Woola, and finally, Omega, who has Nilela." Zelda said, addressing the new champions to their rightful Divine Beast. She then handed each of the champions a blue cloth with the champions Divine Beast symbol on it. "This is your way of saying you are loyal to the Royal Family of Hyrule. Wear it with pride."

After the celebration, there was a giant party.

Link saw Zelda among the other people in the room, he grabbed her hand and pulled her outside. Without saying a word, he led her to the back of his house. Zelda noticed a little ribbon tied on the mountain side. Link felt the surface of the mountain and eventually found what he was looking for. He pushed a tile in and a hidden door swung open. Zelda gasped. It was a secret garden inside a mountain.

"Welcome to my secret garden!" Link said.

"Oh! Link! It's magical!" Zelda cried.

Link's Point of View

I loved the way Zelda looked at this place. I loved Zelda. Tonight's the night, tonight I'm going to propose to her.

Zelda and I just had dinner. She loved it.

"Zelda?" I ask, standing up.

"Yes?" She replied, also standing up.

"Zelda, you're the woman I love. You're the best person I have ever met. I want to spend the rest of my life with you," I started. Zelda put her hand to her mouth. "Zelda, will you marry me?"

"YES!" She squealed, before jumping into my arms and kissing me.

I placed a gorgeous ring on Zelda's finger.

As soon as we stepped outside, Purah ran over to us.

"We have a problem," Purah said.

Just as she said that, the ground shook violently. Zelda grabbed my hand, causing the moonlight to reflect off Zelda's ring. Purah saw the ring, I just know she did.

"What was that?" I asked.

Suddenly Fi appeared. I shouted, who was she? Then I remembered what Zelda told me.

"Master Link, I think the seal is breaking," Fi said.

"What seal???" I asked, freaking out.

"The seal that I used to seal Ganon (Gah-non) away," Zelda said.

"Ganon is breaking free? But we just sealed him away!!!" I screamed.

"How long do we have?" Zelda asked.

"Only a matter of days, two weeks at the most," Fi said, before disappearing.

We headed inside. It wasn't fair, Zelda and I were supposed to be getting married, not fighting Ganon again.

"Let's go to bed, we'll figure things out tomorrow," Zelda said.

When Zelda went to bed, I started crying.

"My love? What's wrong?" She asked.

"We are supposed to be getting married," I cried.

"Honey, we'll figure this out, I promise. Once this is all over, we'll get married, I'll take the throne with you and...and we'll live happily ever after!" Zelda said.

I was too tired to think about it. Zelda's right. She has to be. We'll be fine.
